P. G. Daniel Greene's palette was custom made, so it's hard to know exactly how he conditioned it. Though, in general wooden palettes are sealed to prevent moisture from being absorbed and warping/cracking it over time.
My pallet is made out of plexiglass if I need to change the color of it from white to green or some other color it is easy to slip a piece of paper up under it to change it for those reasons

Pretty late reply here but you can seal a palette with damar varnish or even liquin. Layers of linseed oil will work but that takes time.
its the "pal-let" for me
hahaha, great Ashlee! Keep creating!

Does anyone know how these palettes are made???
They are usually cut out of a good quality plywood like Baltic birch
@Purple Helm Daniel had his palette custom made by a carpenter.
He should try a larger pallet.
hahahah, good one!
