I'll be very interested to know how you get on with this buggy. I bought a new Ion MT less than a year ago and it's now on its second servo and third motor. Front and rear diffs packed up just before Christmas. Parts are available for it, as you say in your video, but in comparison to FTX (and some other brands) they are expensive. Two replacement diffs would cost about half of what I paid for the whole truck! BTW this was only running it around my back garden and some tarmac. It never saw the inside of a skate park! I don't think it's worth spending any more money on. Shame really, cos when it was going it was quite nippy. Anyway, hope you have better luck with your Ion than I did. I would like to see some more running/progress reports as you drive this car. Cheers.
Fair points buddy and yeah will be doing running vids and I will keep my eye in the diffs and report back if any issues I wonder if locking the diffs some would maybe help as open diffs can be very weak also if not filled correctly we will see in future vid thanks for you comment bud 👍
@@lancsrc566 Thanks for your reply. I did try locking the rear diff but with out much success. When the front diff started playing up I decided to cut my losses and not bother with any more repairs. Looking forward to seeing your videos - I have subscribed. Many thanks for your feedback.
