Flying Circus: Volume II will continue our long tradition of bringing WWI aerial warfare to your computer with an explosive plane-set that includes not only fighters, but bombers and recon aircraft. This will bring a more diverse range of missions available to the user. When combined with the existing plane-set from FC1 most of the aircraft that saw combat from 1917 to the end of the war in 1918 are represented. Flying Circus: Volume II is a big leap forward in aircraft, map and mission content setting up the Flying Circus range of products for an exciting future.

@@MegaEierfeile I looked it up and it’s called: The Great War 1914 - 1918.
If you type it in you should hopefully get it, also the thumbnail of it has two planes and men in trenches with a shade of red on it.

Thomas was super late for his deliveries after being shot up by the mean German plane named Wulf.

When i was little, my dad built me and my brother a replica of this plane out of balsa wood and Styrofoam. It had functioning control surfaces, two little wooden machine guns, and a spinning prop. It was about half the size of the real thing so we could fit inside the cockpit. What's cooler is that the wings and tail were covered with actual canvas.
Unfortunately it was so cool that me and my brother played with it non stop to the point where it broke 💔 but it managed to last almost a decade against toddlers and grade students which says a lot about its design!
Wolfpack quickly has become my most watched person on this platform, love the videos man and I look forward to a new upload every time! That and you play games like these sims that I just cant manage to learn but its satisfying to watch someone who can

I’m surprised, I don’t think I have ever seen or heard of this Fokker variant in Rise of Flight or Flying Circus
As far as I know it was never super popular. I think a lot of that has to do with it's late introduction date.
It's been out in Rise of Flight for years. Doesn't get used much in multiplayer from what I've seen. It's just Fokker D.VIIFs vs Sopwith Camels pretty much constantly
@@Wolfpack345 yeah ok. I knew of the VII and love it for its kind of dopey flat nose, makes it a lot harsher and brutal looking and as a capable aircraft it’s looks suit it’s flying characteristics.
Reminds me of Flying Corps Gold back in the early 90's. I'll never forget finding Albert ball patrolling with a wingman only and being the cause of his (at the time) unexplained demise.

Flying razor blade. Got that name due to how small it was from head on and by coming out of the sun, by the time you knew you was being fired at it was too late.

One of my favorites of the war! Now if only I had a game with my Junker D.1 I’d be happy, then again they arrived so late it wouldn’t be historically accurate :/
They did see service with the Freikorps in the east until 1919, so that could be an option.

The French air service was very impressed with this plane. Morane and Dewoitine built similar fighters after the war.

What a terrific video! I’ve always loved the monoplanes of WW1, especially the Fokker E.V/D.VIII.
The other thing that limited this was a shortage of castor oil, used for rotary engines. The Germans used an iferior Ersatz oil.

I really like old planes like this.
The ground is crazy. It's like the surface of the moon.
If you ever go to The Somme or Ypres, the ground is still like that, albeit with trees grown over the top in some places.
About half a mile from where I live is a massive crater in the middle of some woodland where a V2 struck. It's really quite large and obvious. These craters don't just disappear in time.
@@mediocrefunkybeat Yeah, I have seen craters also here in Finland, but nothing as crazy as what was seen in this video. But then again, I wouldn't have obviously seen anything fresh.

The Fokker D.VIII is a great looking little plane. You certainly did well on that flight.

FWIW: I never even _knew_ of the _Fokker D-8_ until not too many years ago.
Along with you I never really touched this thing in RoF. Just never liked the lateness of its introduction. Now... gimme a halberstadt D.II and we'll have something to really go on about.

I really like the way you use external cam footage, it really adds to the experience. Also, can you fight against Flying Circus planes using WW2 aircraft?
I would love to see slow motion footage of those biplane damage models getting shredded by 8 x M2 .50s, or a 37mm cannon shell - maybe even the quad 30mm Mk-108s on the Me-262!

Both this plane and the Junkers D.I were truly the shape of things to come. Maybe they will add the D.I as well some time.

Remember to ask the ground crew to give it a good clean after every mission. Nobody likes a dirty Fokker.

The D8 is an interesting bird, but I don't think it will be very popular in multiplayer. It cannot out-turn, out-climb, or out-run the Camel, its main opponent. While it handles well at high speeds, its engine is prone to over-revving and it loses energy faster than the Camel too. I found that as a Camel pilot, all I have to do is pull a hard right turn to get out of the D8's gun-sight, then transition to a climbing right turn and the D8 will be utterly unable to get guns on target. The wing is very tough, but unlike in RoF it can be shot off if you put most of your ammunition into it. Still, pilot or engine hits do the job faster. The D8 was supposed to be very good in the vertical plane, but I found its rudder authority to be insufficient for the task. More experience with the plane will help, but I suspect most German aces will prefer to stick with the Dr1 or D7, at least until the monstrous Seimens-Shuckert comes out.
The Nieuport 28 is another plane that isn't quite living up to the hype. Based on what I've seen, I can see why the American Expeditionary Force was so excited to trade their N28's in for SPAD XIII's as soon as they could. It has good power and speed (for a rotary), but that's the catch. Good handling for a rotary isn't the same as handling good overall. The SPAD climbs faster, turns faster, dives faster... in fact the SPAD meets or exceeds the N28's performance in every category except one: toughness. The Nieuport 28 can take a lot more damage before breaking up than the SPAD, SE5a, or Camel. It lacks maneuverability, but if you fly as a team and cover your buddies then is can be a very good plane. The trick is you need teammates who know how to cover each other, since there is no other reliable way to get a bad guy off your six. There is some argument about the flight model and whether the plane is performing as well as it should, but as it currently stands in-game most pilots are staying with old faithful SPAD/Camel/SE5a unless we're doing an organized N28 flight.
Overall, they are both interesting planes but certainly aren't shaking up the game balance.
Yeah, I don't expect any aircraft we get with FC 2 to necessarily shake up balance or anything. The D8 was fun to fly around because I never really messed with it in ROF. The N.28 is pretty much exactly what I expected. Rather similar to how it was in ROF. The only thing that subverted my expectations is just how durable it is.
So far both aircraft we have gotten with FC2 have held up rather well and various rods don't snap after taking one hit. If this trend continues I can see myself only flying FC2 aircraft. Especially in multiplayer.
Today I hopped on Flugpark for the first time in a while and decided to take out the SPAD 13. I literally took one hit and the rudder rods were broken. I would rather fly the N28, A flying brick, than take a SPAD or SE5 where my cables snap once they are touched.
I only watch the videos for the obligatory "Hello everybody, Wolfpack here". You can set your watch by it. 😉 (Though I do particularly love your MP Tank Crew vids).

I really hope the devs can incorporate all the beautiful planes from rise of flight. The cool factor of flying the early birds is through the roof for me.

I don't know if you have access to it, but I would love to see you flying the Vought F4U Corsair. Always loved that plane.
You know, its true what they say about dogfights. its still all just the same as WWI, just the speeds, distances, and weapon ranges are all expanded upon and extended and sped up.
I remember the expansion disc for Red Baron has this along with the Nieuport. I was never able to play with them unfortunately because the update wasn't compatible with joysticks. I tried it after all these years with DosBox and the problem persists, even with my new flightstick!
I'd love to see the P36 in a career, Gramps was a mechanic on them in the war. Another good Plane for a career/campaign series would be a FU Corsair. But anything you pick is OK by me. Thanks...
