I looked it up and seen a lot of people said the same thing so we stopped using it and now we don't lose hair more than normal and our hair is almost all the way back to what it was. It's been a year !!!! I absolutely love the Eva NYC ,L'Oreal ever pure, and the cue 100 I believe it's from Amazon and Abby recommended me it and the L'Oreal .

I love the Tressemme heat protectant. I see a difference in my hair when I use it. It leaves it shinier. I also love the Eva NYC hair mask. When I use coconut oil before washing my hair and the Eva NYC hair mask at the end of my washing routine, my hair feels so soft. It’s a great combination. I’ve used other hair masks with coconut oil but it’s not the same. Great products
I love the L'oreal Pure Gloss line in the purple bottle... it has citric acid to balance ph as well. I use a clarifyinf shampoo first then a sulohate free for second wash, hair mask (currently Amika) and then the L'Oreal gloss conditioner. If I really need it, I will use a meiller water like the L'oreal 8 Second Wonder Water. Edit: Ive also been using the L'oreal Total Repair 5 leave in conditioner spray for like 6+ years.
In my experience, many of the drug store shampoos and conditioners don't last as long 🤷♀️. I like the L'Oréal shampoos and conditioners but they don't save me any money.
I personally don’t like tresemme bc no matter how much I was the shampoo and conditioner out , my hair always feel ‘heavy’ / still lots of conditioner in it ( not in a good way) but herbal essence had me in a chokehold 😍✨
I hate both brands. The shampoos are way too drying with the alcohol and sulfates. Their conditioners don’t hydrate enough. I love the smell of herbal essence though. My boyfriend uses it. Pantene has wax in it (we were told in cosmetology school) stay away from it. L’Oréal Ever Pure, Hask and RenPure are the only drugstore brands I will use (sulfate free). I still prefer professional brands though.
I have a super expensive (to me, it's $30 a bottle) conditioner that I use for special occasions, when I know I want to have a good hair day. It is truly better than anything else I have ever tried, and is worth the money. But for everyday, drugstore it is! I'm not made of money, and the cheap stuff gets the job done. Justice for drugstore!
I know you don’t have fine thin hair but if you could find products for those of us that do and help with excess oil, frequent washing, hair fallout etc, that would be lovely. Love your content btw! You make some solid Recs that have helped me with my hair.
look into your hoormones and diabetes. i clarify with a sulfate once to twice a week and inbetween matrix vivid line. anytime you wash make sure you get a ton of soap foam or its not clean enough. look at blowdry pofesssional washing videos
I found I will get itchy scalp with high end and drug store. I use dermaveen majority of the time, but I still try other shampoos, but always go back to dermaveen.
i would love to see more reviews on the fairly commonly available international cheaper brands like ogx, schwarzkopf, sheamoisture, loreal, pantene, herbal essences, garnier, klorane etc. because i have gone so long actively avoiding them thinking they’d ruin my hair but would like to know what’s actually good or how to tell whats good. it would be worth saving some money. these days im using redken, morocconoil & olaplex etc. so if i can find some good alternatives its a big saving.
Pantene will leave a layer of residue on your scalp if you aren’t careful. I love Suave which is super cheap, but I only use their clarifying shampoo and their body wash. I use dove on my kids which isn’t bad either, or I at least don’t think so. Herbal Essence gave me a really bad rash and left me with eczema on my neck that won’t go away the last time I tried it…so I just stay away from their products now. I had no idea Schwarzkopf made hair care products! I love their hair dye!
Really depends on your hair and scalp needs- if you happen to buy the right thing for your specific hair and skin and the drugstore then that's fantastic. The nice thing about professional products is they are often recommended to you by the person who understands your specific hair and skin type/problem areas. But even professional products can take a bit of trial and error to figure out the right fit for you. As someone who has used both, I'd say drugstore can absolutely get the job done but sometimes lead to more problems long term, and with pro you just gotta make sure you're doing a consultation and getting a recommendation for whats right for you (ideally by a stylist who's worked with your hair before, and not the retail staff).
Those are good picks! Also I've been thinking about this too and some people just have "better"hair than others 😂 just the tea! My hair likes certain drugstore ones but loves high ends ones mostly bc it's picky and and aging damaged beotch. But there IS something at WM , wherever , for EVERYONE believe me it is packed overwhelmingly so thank god there abbey
Pantene has been my go to for years! I have tried all the other expensive shampoo’s and I always go back to Pantene! My hair looks fabulous when I use their products.
Just curious what Pantene shampoo and conditioner of theirs you like the best? I noticed they have a few different types and wanted to try it out. Thanks!
Spent a lot of money on high end shampoos/conditioners and curl products. Tried out Monday shampoo/conditioner because I was frustrated with the previous ones I'd used and picked up Tresemme curl products on a whim. Both were so amazing.
Omg I remember when that heat protector was the OG at the drugstore! I bought it for years and have a more expensive one now.. I’ll get the Tres. one next ❤❤❤ thank you for reigniting my interest!!
This is a weird comment, but it would be awesome if the image was flipped so we could read the packaging more easily. So many RUclipsrs will do these really quick shorts and they're talking so fast you can't necessarily always catch what they're using, and then if the picture is flipped, it's really hard to read labels backwards. So often I'm really interested in a product and I seriously have to watch the video three times to figure out what it is. Or is it just me?
I think it’s done on purpose to get more views. Just like all these videos that are showing some type of before and after, and the after part is so fast you have to rewatch it to see anything.
@@folksagabookart You have a great point. It's irritating when you have to watch something over and over again just because it was presented so quickly the first time. Feels like a cheap gimmick if it's intentional. You wouldn't talk to people in real life that way.

The maui moisture shea butter line is my favorite from the drugstore. Perfect for people like me who have a very oily scalp that need to wash their hair often but also have dry ends. I also love the tresemme keratin smooth line
I've used tresemme for almost 20yrs- theirs was the only one that worked on my daughter's curly hair--i even used redkin- and they all failed- except tresemme❤❤❤❤
I use pantene shampoo and conditioner and a bit more expensive leave-in and styling. But literally nothing better than pantene conditioner for my long hair
I’m excited to start using the L’Oréal bond repair line. Once I’m done my Bondi Boost repair shampoo and conditioner I’m switching. The bondi boost stuff is really good though but saving money is good too haha.
I’ve literally always gone between tresemme, pantene, herbal essences, garnier, suave, or dove and I get so many compliments on my hair. It’s healthy, shiny, and soft and even when I get it cut the stylist always compliments me on it! I’ve never used anything other than drugstore and I’ll never stop even if I could afford high end.
I use redken now,i used to use many drugstore shampoo and conditioner, but my hair is so much better with redken. I got a set with shampoo, conditioner and leave in conditioner for Christmas, the shampoo and conditioner is still half full, leave in is almost finished tho. Syoss heat protection spray is amazing and Garnier Fructis Nourishing Banana Hair Food 3-in-1 hair mask is my TOP for years.
Can you talk more about the other shampoos/conditioners in the Ever Pure line? I don't think my hair is damaged so I'm not sure if the bond strengthening ones are best for me.
Garnier whole blends oat delicacy shampoo and ginger recovery conditioner are good. I have used Garnier fructose sleek and shine leave in conditioner for years when I do twists and braids. Also their honey treasures miracle nectar little pump bottle is a great detangler it’s just not very moisturizing. Oh and Pantene co wash I’ve used for years too, great for color treated hair.
js saying the loreal ever pure is good but it damages ur natural curls and makes it so they dont form as good but it'll work good if u have straight hair
It never mattered what drug store product i used, my hair was always dry damaged and didnt grow I switched to salon quality and my curls came back to life and my hair actually grows now Eveyones different and i find drugstore products are better for girls with pin straight hair, it literally killed my curls so much i didnt know my hair was even curly for like 10 years.
It's kind of silly to say drugstore shampoo is only good for one type of hair. With both high end & drugstore, there's a HUGE variety of shampoos. You just have to find one that works for your hair. My hair (curly) does way better after switching to Monday shampoo/conditioner than when I was dropping $40 each on shampoo & conditioner. On top of that, the high end curl products I used sucked and made my hair crunchy. I tried Tresemme's curl line on a whim not expecting much, but it gave life back to my curls.
@@Persephoneia01 I'm aware there's a huge variety, any brand I've used from the drugstore ended up being terrible for my hair. Everyone's different, I can't use cheap shit in my hair.
Finally someone using head&shoulders i started using dermaxpro repairing shampoo and moisturising conditioner as of late and my hair looks amazing, soft and healty. I am using it although i don't have dandruff so may be i will switch to a different one because why use anti-dandruff shampoo when not suffering from dandruff right. I worry that it dries my hair in the long run because of the extra ingredients it has to fight dandruff. But i love it so much rn i kinda wish h&s starts making shampoos that is not for dandruff. I would purchase them immediately.
Used drugstore for years, switched to professional quality. Recently tried to go back to drugs store and i felt a huge difference. Went back to salon quality.
I have used drugstore for years (wasting my money on things that never work) recently found the blowout professor on youtube decided to try his recommendations because for me, his recommendations are incredibly cut and dry. Picked up the professional shampoo and conditioner he recommended and my hair is 100% better from where it was and it stays cleaner longer and smells amazing!
I had great results from tresemme fr, it was a fav of mine for ages. The suave pro stuff is great too. I have super long, coarse, wavy, dry hair. My current HG is the loreal dream lengths line, genuinely changed my hair lol. I use it with their wonder water. I rotate it through with the fiber deep conditioner from that line for protein or the sauce deep moisture mask from sallys. My hair has genuinely never been nicer and I've tried a ton of stuff from natural lines to high end. I also use amla oil as a preshampoo treatment. Camille rose also has great products, i use their rosemary water and their honey mousse. I also sometimes clarify with the neutrogena healthy scalp clarifying shampoo. The mis en scene is a korean hair serum that i get from amazon that is a DREAM, and eva nyc has some dope stuff too!! Love the satin dream leave-in and the primer. Tldr: my hair is naturally a mess but i use drugstore stuff and my hair is a dream rn
I've used Tresemme for years and my hair is super healthy (not just my opinion, but my hair stylist's as well). I do use a more expensive clarifying shampoo every few weeks though. L'Oréal Dream Lengths heat protectant has also been a game changer in keeping my wavy/curly hair straight for days.
I have natural hair (not dyed) and I use the L'Oreal line she shows and I love it it says for dyed hair but I love it. The gold bottles of the same line for moisture is my fav
So true my hair has always responded great to drugstore hair products even some of the products from Sally beauty like Ion and Beyond the Zone is the closest I’ll get to buying salon quality I just can’t bring myself to buy $30 hair products 🤷♀️
See, I used treseme for years, and my hair was so damaged. I know everyone’s hair is different, but until I cut out all sulfates, silicones, and parabens did my hair health improve drastically. I’ve never used a lot of heat on my hair, or brushed it excessively either, it’s just my hair did not do well with conventional hair products. If it works for other people though, I think that’s great. Everyone has to use what works for them.
When I was a kid I had down to my tailbone. Y’all, my granny would wash and condition my hair with Suave brand products lol. And then she would grease my scalp with blue magic. Life was so simple back then.
Oh my god my hair has never looked worse then when I started trying to use high end hair care, it’s dry a brittle and gross but I switched back to drug store and my hair is getting back to normal
I used to get function of beauty but for me I figured out that the quality of water I wash my hair in was more important than the products I use. Now I use a shower head filter and drugstore products and my hair has never been lovelier!
@Nolan L ok. Want to share the name/names? People always seem to leave that out .. like yes I know of it but I won't just drop the products names ... lol

I have an honest question. Now don't take this the wrong way because I love your channel and all the tips and tricks you share. Not to mention the education behind it all... But I'm curious, do you get paid to talk about or promote ANY of these brands?
Every silicone free drugstore conditioner/shampoo I’ve tried made me lose so much hair and just dulled it completely. The one I use now is for curly hair. All of the products are £4.50 including the masque and cream.
Girl my mom made me stop using it thinking it would cause cancer 🤦🏽♀️I’m literally not kidding! So then I was using a coconut one it was ok umm it’s the shea moisture one you can get at Walmart, Costco. Now I use the herbal essence tea tree oh my gosh it smells so amazing and fresh I got the bigger bottle from Fred myers
I agree drugstore hair care doesn’t get enough credit it’s all I used my whole life and now that I grew out my hair after my big chop it just leaves my hair so healthy and I buy products that r not even known big brand names. And my hair thrives

Hello there, I read your comment on the Eva nyc conditioner, thank you for your input ! I'll give it a try 😌 take care and God Bless you...
Their hair mask is a bomb
That ginger conditioner smells sooooo good
and if your hair needs a refreshing cleanse but not a clarifying one, garnier pure clean (the aloe one) is amazing, it’s so good for the beach
js saying the loreal ever pure is good but it damages ur natural curls and makes it so they dont form as good but it'll work good if u have straight hair
It never mattered what drug store product i used, my hair was always dry damaged and didnt grow
I switched to salon quality and my curls came back to life and my hair actually grows now
Eveyones different and i find drugstore products are better for girls with pin straight hair, it literally killed my curls so much i didnt know my hair was even curly for like 10 years.
Native Shampoo is also a great option!
My FAVE is the head n shoulders sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. Makes my hair so soft and hydrated!!
The Eva nyc deep conditioner makes my hair feel so soft, it’s unreal. My curls always look the juiciest when I use it
OGX Blow out "spray" so awesome and I keep going back to it because its the only thing that works well on my hair.
Been using that Tresame heat resistance spray since the 00s. It is truly the 🐐
i’ve been using that heat protectant for years now!
I have the first one!! Amazing!! Your hair feels so refreshed!
Tressemme's Heat Protection Spray is Awesome 😊❤
Used drugstore for years, switched to professional quality. Recently tried to go back to drugs store and i felt a huge difference. Went back to salon quality.
Drugstore just doesn't clean the hair.
@@mmi940 yep instead it coats it in cheap build up products
I have used drugstore for years (wasting my money on things that never work) recently found the blowout professor on youtube decided to try his recommendations because for me, his recommendations are incredibly cut and dry. Picked up the professional shampoo and conditioner he recommended and my hair is 100% better from where it was and it stays cleaner longer and smells amazing!
I think for budget people there are decent options but I don't think they are as good.
My aunt has always used trust me she absolutely loves it I hate it but I do love a lot of your recommendations.
Please review Pacifica bond shampoo and conditioner!! Pls!! Coco peptide.
I have natural hair (not dyed) and I use the L'Oreal line she shows and I love it it says for dyed hair but I love it. The gold bottles of the same line for moisture is my fav
Thanks to you, Abbey I started using the Kristin Ess and my young girls love it too. Their hair stays so clean! And the Eva NYC smells INCREDIBLE 😘❤️
I love the heat protector!
Tres meme is my jam! It’s the only thing I used in Dubai that saved my hair! In fact I should go back to it!
Thank you so much for giving me a such a great laugh.
I love the L’Oréal Ever pure!
I would love to see an all cruelty free haul.
So true my hair has always responded great to drugstore hair products even some of the products from Sally beauty like Ion and Beyond the Zone is the closest I’ll get to buying salon quality I just can’t bring myself to buy $30 hair products 🤷♀️
I like the Aussie miracle line
I used to buy tresemme by the liter at Costco when I was a kid.
I've never seen such beautiful hair than this blond lady. So beautiful ❤
I’m wondering about OGX, please could you do a video of there wide ranged, affordable collection
Would love a Dupe for Purilogy Color Fanatic Multi-tasking Leave-in Cond Spray 🙏
it already exists!!
Yes please 😍
@Nolan L ok. Want to share the name/names? People always seem to leave that out .. like yes I know of it but I won't just drop the products names ... lol
Yes someone please share it
Ever since you recommended the kristness clarifying shampoo I've literally not used any other clarifying shampoo since haha it's so good
*Kristen ess
same, it smells so good and it’s so cheap since you don’t need a lot of it.
@@palestar828 nah I said what I said, your fault if you don't understand what it is due to a simple lack of space between two words lmao but whatever makes your ego feel better I guess
I have an honest question. Now don't take this the wrong way because I love your channel and all the tips and tricks you share. Not to mention the education behind it all...
But I'm curious, do you get paid to talk about or promote ANY of these brands?
@@whitneyhauerwas3445 you legally have to disclose that so if she was she would get into very hot water with the ftc
I love your nail color😍
Luseta Rose Oil shampoo and conditioners...found at Marshall's. Smells wonderful and left my hair so soft and manageable!!
I tried the Pantene Miracle 10 in 1 due to you and love it!
All my hair likes is Dove and Whole Blends 😅 I used to love Tressemme and may give it a try again. Gosh her hair is to die for❤
L’Oreal everpure has done wonders for my hair for 15 years now, more than half of my lifetime. They better never discontinue it EVER
Yes yes yes tressame is my favorite ❤
Every silicone free drugstore conditioner/shampoo I’ve tried made me lose so much hair and just dulled it completely. The one I use now is for curly hair. All of the products are £4.50 including the masque and cream.
I use head and shoulders after 3 years of nothing but high end hair care. Best switch I ever made. My hair looks and feels the best it’s ever been.
can you do a sulfate free favs video?
I love the way, Tresseme smell smells, but it makes my scalp itchy
I use a lot of Not Your Mother's hair products and they work for me 💖💖
Love that hair mask.
No tressume has been the truth for years! Love their products. They have great products for black women as well.
Love your nails!!
Please do a review comparing Loreal Repair Bond vs Garnier Fructis Hair Filler!
