Shawn, it's only in the key of B pitch-wise and on the published sheet music. It was performed in the key of C as SRV and Double Trouble tuned down a half step. It is infinitely easier to play the solo in C.
Do you think Reese was able to tune the keyboards a 1/2 step down or did he actually play it in B? I have a Yamaha P125 but I’ve heard there are keyboards that can adjust the key at least a full step. Any feedback I’d appreciate.
@@rolfr6662 I've seen him do it in both keys - if you watch the Austin City Limits performance from October 1989, he's playing in C but transposed down a 1/2 step, but in the tribute version with Kenny Wayne Shepherd (you can find it on YT under the title "Austin City Limits Celebrates 40 Years 'The House is Rockin'"), he's playing in B.
I've got so much blues stuff to learn for my bands.
i am a guitarist. now that i found a teacher like this, i will start playing keys now.
What level is this?
Shawn can you do some songs like The Entertainer (Joplin), My Cherie Amour (Wonder), C Jam Blues, All of me (jazz standard), and some Elvis piano parts maybe 'Burning Love'
I have, Russ. Most of that is on my website, webpianoteacher.com.
That’s better Shawn, Rock it man 🤪🤪🤪😂😂😂

Great video and great website, though why do you say ^ it's for free ?
The part one videos, thousands of them, are indeed completely free. :) Shawn
