Have you recently started working from home and are feeling underwhelmed by your home office setup? You're not alone!
Nick, a freelance content creator, had recently gotten into a new groove with his videography business when the COVID-19 pandemic hit and his work slowed down. To cheer him up, Nick and his fiancé Selin decided it was the perfect time to upgrade his dark and messy home office, located in the attic of their apartment in an old house. The space is awkward and felt cramped with all of Nick’s equipment out in the open, so he’s hoping to introduce a bit more functionality and organization into it - and Alexandra is here to help.
Alexandra is going to come up with a makeover plan that makes Nick’s attic office feel bright, airy, and tidy so that he can be motivated to get right back to work once things pick up again. But here’s the catch - this is a VIRTUAL makeover - that means Alexandra designs the space, sends Nick the products, but Nick and Selin have to put it all together.

The drawers made it look so clean! By switching the walls to the lower part, filled up and the high part empty, made this space 10 x bigger. Xico is a brilliant help.
This turned out to be one of my favourite makeovers. The space is so bright, minimal, and functional. That desk is a work of genius.

Possibly my favorite makeover!!! I love this! It is day and night. Hopefully he can get an air conditioner in that room. I can't imagine not having one. Great job!
Even an evaporative cooler cube would be great. I got one this summer for under 50, and it's been a lifesaver. Mine plugs into the mains, but I think I've seen portable ones that charge up via USB. That would free up a power socket.
Liked this vid where Alexandra had to work from 'afar/distance' from clients Nick and Selin. My favorite are the blue IKEA drawer system.

Oh wow what a transformation! The place literally expanded post makeover and so much more practical storage. Loving the desk! Also loving the minimal, clean, efficient paraphernalia free look. Different from her usual pompoms/ pillows/pattern heavy looks that I do love, but this room just needed this minimalist approach. Way to go Alexandra! 😍😍

@@source5729 and designed well too 😊. Men can love pompoms and pillows and frills too and they don't have to be gay to love those things. But as you say, this particular client needed something like this and she delivered.
Yeah, I also enjoyed the pom-pom free zone. Nick simply isn't a pom-pom or basket guy.

Alexandra the plan was really great and it worked for him, I feel his pain when it comes to building the furniture it can be quite time consuming and frustrating. He seemed really happy with the results.

I love nick. I work in the film industry and totally get all the stuff. I struggle with organizing but really the scariest part would be emptying the space. It looked great at the end though. Nick needs a Vlog of his own.

Please promote your additional channels more on your main channel, so we can follow you everywhere and help your subscriber numbers rise! Love Team AG! What a great transformation here! Sorry that lockdown meant Nick and his fiancé had to miss out on all the help from Team AG, but they were very funny and pleasant to watch as they opened and put together all of the surprises. I was happy to see most of the storage move to the shorter wall, opening up all that space on the taller side of that angled ceiling! It definitely makes the whole room feel brighter and more spacious along with the white walls and rug! It took me a while to realize there were three low, black, storage-drawer pieces. Love how well it works for him! He’s not the only person to put an IKEA product together upside down! Been there! 😂😂

I think this is my favourite MMSW episode to date, mostly because it's so relatable. My office is also dark and weirdly shaped (and cold too) and looks cluttered AF because I have open shelving everywhere. Soooo much inspiration here! Also, well done to Nick, he seems like a great guy. Alexandra, hire him for filming! Xico killing it as usual, this man should have his own DIY channel :)

@@saafiiiraa I totally get what you're saying. In fact the past few videos I've been thinking "people in the comments are being harsh, I'm sure there's requests that clients make that may or may not be included or explained in the video". But I used to be surprised Alexandra would use the same wall props, same light fixtures.. The same so mirror idea not once or twice but multiple times! I could almost predict it. And that's... well that's disappointing because a part of the reason why we watch these videos is the hope that there are people out there who are more creative than us. I still love her videos, love her simple yet cute style of storytelling of the video... Etc etc.. But i BELIEVE she can take greater risks in exploring a different side to even an existing style.

I love this one! When I saw the photo you posted the other day of the before my heart dropped for you- I was like oh no how on earth is she gonna make that look good?! I’m a photographer too and my office and my shooting studio and all my gear is all in my little home studio so I totally understand all the gear/ supplies and have never figured out how to make it look great- the seamless drops and the stands particularly. You did such a great job though! Nick and his fiancé were hilarious. Love them.
