Matt, along with his friend Rasta Mokko, collaborate on a RUclips channel called Ras Kitchen - the world's first ever Rastafarian cooking show - as well as running their own merch store for the channel.
Matt travels between Jamaica and Canada for the channel all the time, but more recently he’s been spending a lot of time at his home in Canada. He’s now realized that his home office, which is also located in his living room, is really dated and could use a serious update. The walls are mystery taupe, and his desk is literally a piece of scaffolding. He’s got some great furniture with a cool vintage vibe going on, but he's struggling to put it all together. With everything that Matt has going, he needs a home office refresh!

Give yourself a huge pat on the back Alexandra for a job well done. This design is on another level for you. So masculine, stylish and effortlessly cool. The dark accent wall with mouldings lifted the whole room and made his very stylish furniture sing. You really should do more room makeovers for men - you’ve got a real flare for masculine design.

I wouldn't necessarily call ANY style feminine or masculine or girly and manly, let alone this one. I'd use different adjectives instead, like cute vs sophisticated, or cosy vs minimal, vintage vs contemporary, boho vs industrial, etc.
I dislike it when people associate pink, pom poms, bows, pastels, florals, extra decor and what not with women and more modern, sleek styles and decor with men. I acknowledge it unfortunately exists, but it's actually something we desperately need to get rid of, because every style is a choice that anyone can make, regardless of gender.
A man might love pink walls and fur throw pillows and a woman can enjoy darker palettes and elegant, stylish decor, for example. This style is MUCH closer to mine and I'm a woman as well.
You did such a great job, Alexandra! I love how you've expanded your knowledge and you're not afraid to take on non-girly rooms now.

Loved this one! The darker colours, the metal and "leather" textures... and that desk was the best as it was genuinely functional. Seems you nailed his personality and needs in this room so well. All these things make me happy!
such a cool place! and i love how you basically didn't change his furniture at all but gave them much more fitting environment which elevated the look on them so much more and actually made you look at the pieces. i didn't even notice the furniture pieces before, so amazing job Alexandra!! ❤️ also LOVE the colors!
I couldn't believe all those pieces were already there! It was a really good starting point in fact because that way you're sure the person will love what you do, since you're keeping the furniture they chose and use it as inspiration

The desk is such an interesting and thoughtful choice that really seems to take his needs (and constraints) into consideration. Same with the music station. Xico's build was form and function with the display side and hidden storage. What a chic room design!

Ohh I loved this transformation! I always thought you rarely use a different color other than baby pink and sage ( I love them and not complaining at all!) But with the use of this deep green/blue color you proved that you can definitely design and think out of the box. I loved it!
The "before" was actually fine. But the transformation is very Hugh Hefner-smoking room-leather-male sexiness. I think it's that deep green accent wall plus sconces. It darkens the room and gives it a romantic, sexy vibe. Then the rest of the room is very masculine. It all adds up nicely. Best one in awhile!
I love AG’s normal feminine style, but MAN is it cool to see her go out of her comfort zone on projects these! Such a cool space. Form and function through and through. Great work team AG ❤️❤️

OMG, Alexandra!! This is incredible! I am usually drowning in pink and baskets and pom poms ( sorry 🤣) but THIS!! Every design decision is so spot on for this space, love EVERY detail from the paint colour, mouldings, artwork, record display and furniture choices ... you have absolutely outdone yourself. PLUS!! That “desk” chair is beautiful, and the same goes for all the dining chairs you’ve used in this series. I’m just always concerned that it’s not gonna be comfortable enough to work from for hours. People really need to start making actually cute office chairs.

I can attest that getting a non office chair is SUPER comfortable! Much better than an office chair and it makes sense too, think about how often ur sitting in your kitchen table just chillin.

Alexandra, you are very deceiving. To look at your appearance and nice, humble disposition one would not think of you as an edgy designer. Yet your edginess is not over the top like so many "professional" designers like to do. Your designs certainly elevate a space yet they're completely livable. Your talent reminds me of Rachael Rae. She is not a chef yet she comes up with stellar meals and recipes that any of us can duplicate. You are the Rachael Rae of interior design.
