Thanks for the great advice! I really think genetics play a huge role in this (although you have to make sure you’re taking care of baby’s hair of course). I keep my 14-month old baby’s hair hydrated and protected and use natural products. She eats well and is still breastfed. But she still has no hair in the back. Her bald spot is filling in very slowly. This is my 4th daughter so I’ve been here before and I know it’ll grow eventually but it’s a bit frustrating.

You're welcome sis! Yes I'm sure it is frustrating, this too shall pass. Like you wrote your baby's hair is growing even though it's slower than you would like 🙌🏾

@@ncbynovella thanks! I actually just watched your other video and I’m looking into Vitamin D deficiency esp with her being breastfed and maybe not getting all she needs. Thanks for your great advice!!

Ah yes! That's one thing a lot of mums that breastfeed miss. Please let me know how you get on with that 👑

It has a lot to do with hormones too. When babies are born they have those same hormones we have that make our hair luscious. When they’re born they also shed those hormones like we do and they shed hair, sometimes it’s noticeable in some babies, sometimes it not

Thank you for these tips. My 15-month-old was born with very full hair. I didn't even notice the telogen effluvium phase; but at 8 months, she had gastroenteritis which lingered till about one year. During the period, she took a lot of antibiotics and after a while, I noticed a lot of hair loss especially her edges and the top of her head. Her dr told me that the hairloss was due to the antibiotics tampering with her body's metabolism of a particular vitamin, I think he said vitamin K, I can't remember.
But have you ever heard of that?

      *It's vitamin B

You're welcome sis, yes I have heard of this. Unfortunately certain medications can cause hair loss 👑

This is so helpful thank you! We live in the desert and it’s so dry here. I’m wondering should I moisturize more then once a day if I notice this spot is dry? I could be doing over board lol but just want to make sure I have the right regime in place for baby ❤keep doing what you’re doing

What do you suggest for moisturizing infant hair? My son is 5 months and I don’t want to put too many chemicals in his hair. I was using coconut oil but it seemed to exacerbate cradle cap 😓

I used hydrocortisone cream 1% for cradle cap advised by my doctor and it took two weeks to work but worked like magic

Aww I know how you feel! But it's quite normal for them to do that, check when your baby is doing this. Is your baby hungry, tired etc when he/she pulls on their hair? This too shall pass sis, luckily most grow out of this 👑

I thought my daughter would grow out of it too. She's now 4 & still no more than 1 inch of hair, plus she still pulls 😭😭 I had no issues with my oldest daughter hair growing in.
