Wow what an awesome video! I think this has been long overdue and you hit all the key points and combined them into one place for everybody to watch and listen to! Keep these coming!
Cool video. That amp's high end is sooooo beatiful. Also, MK1 is really ages ahead. I had a Carbon Copy, and I think it sounded very close to what u showed. I got an AP MK2 because of the JM hype, but I liked the Carbon Copy better.
Short of the noise, I like the Mk2. I have one of these. But this video has me thinking that I need a 3. The 1 and 3 are so similar I'd rather sowmthing smaller.
The MK1 is awesome but it's nice to know that the MK3 is actually pretty close! I don't like the MK2 much, it doesn't blend as well in the mix and makes the guitar tone a little thinner.
Perfect video! In the JT interview, do you have the reference image he is talking about? I find the MK3 interesting, as he is on record (somewhere) as saying the 2 and 3 are identical, apart from the switch, and the 3 has surface mount components. However, they clearly sound different. On paper I would argue, but the proof is here, the 3 is closer to the 1! Brilliant video!
I have 1 CC and 2 CC deluxe. They are great delays but can be a bit intrusive. I actually like the slap back in the AP mk2. AP mk2 is more of a few trick pony, but it does them well.
Great video for two reasons.
1. Shows difference in the much debated AP pedal variations.
2. Shows how to match JM’s slapback tone.

Great demo dude. I never get how people say they all sound the same! There are some clear differences. The MK1 is goals!
What a „way huge“ (outstanding!) comparison!
Let’s all agree, this a very useful video. Mayer’s tone is hard to nail…as is the use of apostrophes.

JM also used CC…he even used a chinese mooer pedal, i guess he has a commercial deal with way huge
My favorite is somehow the mk2?? Thick yet still maintains the clarity?

This was helpful to me. Thanks
I came here by Noel Gallagher and don't even know who John Mayer is...
Why were only 100 MK1's made?
Awesome video

Wonder if the carbon copy, which is very dark, is closer to the mkI than the mkIII. Great video!
I have both, and mxr cc is darker with nicer definition in every repeat, but Aqua have subtle echo reverblike that very lovely

Mk1 is great!
i got the MKII for me its ok but if you set propertly it will sound as good AS YOU PLAY ....... sure the mk1 is the best
I want an Aqua Puss so bad! The MKIII would be perfect for my mini board
Nice job! Very helpful?
Where did you get a MKI?
Reverb about a year ago!
