If you ever get the opportunity to see a Japanese drum team do a show DO IT… It will rattle your whole body. Especially when they hit the massive drums.
The Japanese are just normal, wait till you see the Chinese, each hit makes you shiver. Listening to him hammer, I couldn't help going "oh, WAH-AH-AH-AH!"
Sounds like every kid’s first bass drum with factory heads.
Yeah. A drum this size would have to be tuned incredibls high to give sou any sort of discernable pitch, ofcourse that can't be done with ropes.
Haha not wrong.
If you hear them IRL tho the bass felt in your body is something else

The way he used the tacks to attach the hide is so beautiful
I want to wake my neighbours up with that at 3 am
In India we also have a big drum called nagada which is used on special occasions
And it’s actually tuneable because they don’t cut the ropes line idiots
humans really went “hmm big thing make big sound, we like” and i love it
Yea
That's the MASSIVEST drum I've ever seen holy.
These drums are single-handedly keeping the upholstery tack market afloat.
Now, that's impressive. This is why I watch RUclips. ❤
Lambeg drum Northern Ireland. Fascinating history
“The size of the drum depends on the cow hide used.” Common sense no🤣
No.THEY USE WATER BUFFALOE HIDES AND NOT COW H7DES WHICH ARE SOFTER.

Why do I wanna giant freaking drum now? I know I don't need it, but I want it 😂😂😂
Imagine being born only to be killed years later to be turned into a giant drum
Imagine being a cow
Purchasing this on aliexpress, sorry delivery man 😂
the calf to his mother: i want to become the biggest red drum
“1.8m” i immediately thought of my two 180cm buddies lying down crisscrossed on the drum
It's horrible to think that such a rich history can be overshadowed by the horrors of communism
Anyone who can do this in the world is considered an artist and highly respected. But in Indian they are considered untouchables.
I thought he was cutting up a stingray before I realized what it was
Imagine the size of the moon gel you'd need to use for this.
This is similar to our Japanese drums, which were obviously inspired by Chinese. Only difference are the drum sticks.
How long does it take to put in all the nails? 💀
A while
He gets paid by the hour
Ngl i like the excess leather that he cut off, gave the drum a more ritualistic, hostorical look
It must be a pain in the ass to nail all these fucking nails in it I would not have the patience to do that
Imagine just having a few second break just beating on the drum then you have to put all those nails in one by one 😭
I love seeing cultures musical instruments! It’s fascinating!
So that whole job is just fun as hell, and you create a product that is equally fun as hell. Life goals? Indeed.
In india we have not just tabla but also damru , nagaada , dhol, tamki , kanjira , mrudanga , pakhavaj , chenda , khol , daf, dhak , ghatam , etc
Can’t wait for a heavy metal drummer to have a whole set of these. 😂
Which animal leather did they use 🤔?
🐄🐂
Imagine a set of drums like this bro will take up whole scene with drums

How many nails in one drum?
Damn that bro knows how to use a hammer
The size of the drum depends on the size of the drum
Yes, I can only imagine that they make their own rhythmic music as they go along to making the drums. 😊
how does ma boy not hit his hands hammering those nails so fast?!?!
The ultimate kick drum💀💀💀💀
that dance was smooth af
So that's where all my thumbtacks went-
Wow! Excellent work!!!!!!!!
😃This drum is very huge!🥁
He is nailing the drum easily while I tryin to hit a nail and always hitting my thumb.
2.2 meters is just a trampoline at that point
We used to march those as tri-toms, then quads, quints, sixes, las juntas pallabras condito singuentras, y no hablamos Espanol.
Those resonant tongs or springs inside… freakin huge thunderous cavern sound
Bro was hitting the griddy on the drum
sounds like a giant war drum
Anyone else see the misalignment of pins as the camera pans back
as a drummer it would be hard to do anything on this besides sound like a toddler smacking things together
The bodhrán from Ireland is my favourite
Next time leather become loose, you have to change entirely the leather. Instead you should have rope stitch to it.
The nails thing is so smooth
Dudes hammering is insane.
Its not a drum itsca trampoline silly 😂😂😂
Everyone has to live to the beat of their own drum! All the very best to all, 🇬🇧👍👍👍👊.
I would enjoy being an apprentice drum maker here. I have good motor skills & patience. I'll get faster after I get taught how to do it "right" first.
Think he thumps it after last nail and says, "that isnt goong anywhere"?
Do you hear it, the drums of liberation he is here
Well they are called the People's Liberation Army
In South Africa we have something called a Manjomane
We have something similar in Northeast india, a big kne sided drumb beaten usually with two sticks (sometimes hand as well)
Drummaker is a drummer himself
The barrel making process must be much more interesting than this process.
So if it rips, you're done?
