Tried some warm up rounds against bots, and landed on the Macmillan map with those mannequins. There are almost no lockers on that map, and most no where near anything important. How do I best handle map situations like this?
@@professorparadox3064 Use the lockers closest to where you need but otherwise apply pressure by damaging and chasing survivors. Even if you just hit them and damage them then you can build up nightfall which will basically make the survivors blind except for a short radius
I feel like all they need to do with Dredge now which is an easy change, is just have extra single lockers spawn wherever an Alien station or Sadako TV would spawn, they spawn around gens, so doing that would pretty much make Dredge perfect i think

With dredge, once the lock is broken it’s gone. I doubt it makes him stronger to the point where it’s noticeable, but is still technically a minor advantage in a way.
I'd love to see cosmetics for Dredge being Audrey 2 from little shop of horrors, and the Blob with the guy struggling to get out but he's melting inside into a skeleton.
I am SOOOOOO looking forward to this. Dredge is one of the killers I want to main, but I end up either having a 4k at 5 gens or 0K at endgame, so hopefully this makes him a bit more consistent
the only problem i still have with dredge is the MASSIVE accessiblity issues that his nightfall causes. Behaviour is absolutely aware of problems like these that's why they added the crosshair to clowns gas. As someone who is visually impaired I cannot see at all in nightfall. I quite literally cannot see anything apart from auras. I pray and beg that one day nightfall does receive some form of rework or change so I'm not blind for a good minute or two multiple times a match.
Absolutely same, I hate playing against dredge not because it is op but because as soon as nightfall hits I might as well just turn off the monitor for all the good it does me. I get the effect they want but it's so frustrating on my end with the current implementation.

Honestly, a simple way to ease this problem is to either make the "bubble" of light around the survivor a bit bigger or lighten the darkness effect to still achieve the intended value without rendering players with eye impairments essentially blind. It's an accessibility issue, not a gameplay issue.

I’m so excited to try out his changes for myself on 27th August. I love the changes they’ve given him, they’ve made him so much better at being quick and quiet, which was the whole point of him, to be able to get around the map fast and be quiet, or at least obscure survivors visions, making him quiet to some degree.
Made a build myself and I think it’s pretty close to the movie I don’t know if you’ve seen it yet but here’s my variation 1. Alien instinct, whether you go back to the first scene or if that was discovered by Ripley or the freshly made new ones the aliens instinct as soon as it kicks in to go after people. 2. Unnerving Presents Zamor presents itself makes people fear it 3.trail of torment besides itself capabilities. The aliens tended to torment its victims 4. sloppy Butcher these things are anything but clean kills tended to be brutal. Add ons I chose improvised cattle prod just because the star and throughout the movie a little bit of the first act, they use the shock stick and molted skin for the Zeno to get to its fully grown stage and needed to molted skin and because it’s a lore build ebony mori
I love the new buffs he got. He's been my favorite original killer in the game but the clunkiness felt awful at times. The only thing that's missing for him imo is that lockers should spawn closer to gens whenever he's in play like the turrets for Xeno, or the tvs for Sadako. At the very least make more lockers spawn whenever he's being played.
I'd love to see Spooky do a series of videos showing off what he thinks is the best/ his favourite perk build for each killer's power. I'm curious if there'd be a lot of overlapping/ recurring perks, or if there'd acc be a lot of variety.
Dredge looks fucking terrifying to play against. Walking to unhook or going to a gen and a fucking demon zombie thing pops from a locker. Actually fuck that lmao
by the way, as you teleport to a locker, if it’s yellow, that means it’s locked, you can press m1 in the locker to break the lock, allowing you to exit earlier (and maybe quieter)
Only 2 problems, one big one small. First the small one, I feel the initial cooldown for reign of darkness should either be put down to 5 seconds or lower (maybe just removed entirely) (btw when I say initial cooldown I mean the cooldown for his teleport at the start of the trial). And the big one… more lockers, whether it be for dredge specifically or just all around dredge needs more lockers, make it an add-on for goodness sake just anything for more lockers. (But I feel bhvr has been doing a great job recently, keep up the good work spooky)
I love running friends til the end and iron maiden on the same build. If they jump in a locker to hide from the aura they scream and get a longer exposed effect.
I'm honestly super stoked for these changes, I've really been enjoying playing Dredge lately! I'm a Hag main who was trying to play more variety and I just keep going back to Dredge. He's going to be a lot more fun after this update. 😁
I really wanted dredge power to work with lockers perks like his own perk darkness revealed to activate when he leave a locker or iron maiden making dredge leave lockers faster
People just don't seem to know how to play against dredge yet in this release haha. So early into the character with this video being released 4 months ago. He has a terror radius during nightfall too which most people don't seem to notice. Similar to Freddy when you're dreaming the noises tell you how close the killer is. For Freddy it's singing... For Dredge it's the screams of the damned ☠️ When you start hearing that one woman screaming really loud you know dredge is close. You know which one I'm talking about if you play dredge because you hear it as dredge the entire time. Its really like the noise emanates from it's void. It's weird though I didn't play before his buffs but I swear he teleports slower than this now and there haven't been any nerfs to it... so strange. But at the same time, as a Dredge main, I can easily say that Dredge is overpowered lol. I have a very strange, seemingly troll way to play the game where I must hook everybody once before I start hooking everybody a second time, and only after everybody gets their second will I start finishing people. And I can only start hooking people the second time after 2 gens have been completed and can only start finishing people after 4 gens are done. People are usually so slow that I just end up AFK in a locker somewhere while they do gens. And in the end I still always finish the people I want to. Its straight up like playing god and it is messed up 😂

When it was my first time playing against the dredge, I locked the locker next to the gen i was doing and I thought if you locked the locker it meant that he couldnt use that locker. so i saw the smoke coming out of the locker then he pops out so loudly scaring the hell out of me
I always hated how dredge had unlimited teleport but survivors can only lock a locker once. Maybe add killer item (like emp or flamethrower or spray can) so survivors can re-lock lockers

As a dredge main i would trade all of these buffs for more lockers on some maps. Dredge is very map dependent and the only thing they have to do to fix it is just adding some lockers
Now to wait for 2 things #1 more lockers (2 by each gate on each side and at least 1 in every loop) #2 cancel the move between lockers when it sends you to a different one because you moved the cursor/stick a tiny bit to the left
I have played this game for a long time, but no killer made me anxious and scared for my life as dredge did. When nightfall comes I forget it's a game, it becomes terrifying.
Overall very satisfied with these buffs and the improvement in his QoL, but that is clearly not enough: - They still need to add the full version of Ottomarian Writing, haddie calendar and key boat, and rework them for some new effects - Followers cowl should be basekit - Wooden Plank should be put in half in the basekit, increasing its effect for each hook to 12.5% - A complete rework of the two iridescent add-ons which are simply crap - Further adjust the movement speed when channeling the Remnant (on the ptb it is 3.8 m/s) to 4.0 m/s. Once again, its power is an anti-loop that survivors can counter easily.
I think they buffed Writing, Calendar and boat key already along with Malthinkers but nothing else. Probably for the best they don't touch more of her add-ons just to see how she plays with her new changes so they don't make the mistake of somehow making her so overpowered they have to shut her off
That would be so op .-., as a dredge main I recognize that those buffs you said would make the dredge just waaaay too oppressive and strong, and about the "can counter easily", yeah, by running to the next tile and to the next one etc... until they finish them, and if you played good, you get the hit, if not, you find someone else, dredge doesnt really need all those buffs
do we really need more "hold w or get a free hit on you" killers? i don't think buffing the remnant is a good idea, should buff the rest of its kit instead.
yeah i got to play against a few dredges on the ptb..half the games ppl dc'd off rip but a few everyone tried. personally i rly dont know dredge's addons that much, but i would somewhat like the locked lockers to be a tiny bit safer as i rly did feel it barely bought me the second difference in runnning away from my gen. tho im very glad his TP got buffed watching it in the past made me feel sad for those mains. so id prefer that its locker escape speed be more tied to addons than base kit
The most unused add-ons should be changed for the dredge. Like one should increase the numbers of lockers in a map by at least 4 or 5 and the other to at least get rid of the locks of 6 lockers
As a dredge main, these changes make me happy. My boy struggled to do much with his power just being so RNG dependent. It still is, but at least now he's stronger when the RNG does favor him. I'd still rather BHVR actually made it so locker spawns are more consistently around gens, even without dredge being picked. So many locker perks on both sides and they're always so useless with bad lockers.
The Dredge is actualy a scary killer to me, ive played dbd since 2017 and hes the first to actually make me jump everytime. The thing i didnt like about playing against him tho is nightfall, idk how to counter or what to do during it, should i just do map knowledge??
dredge used to be my main, he's my first and still only P4 (I know, low level but I don't play all that much) and I stopped playing him because of how clunky and slow he felt. The fact they've updated him seems like a fever dream
maybe they could give myers a nightfall mechanic? could be cool/scary to just see him standing still stalking you in the dark at the edge of your games vision
I wonder if the faster teleports can be a disadvantage, with the slow ones you had a long time on one locker for a person to attempt to lock it and then grab them. with a faster teleport you might get to the locker before they do.
Love the dredge so much only killer I got rep 100 I always wished that they would give him his own lockers that spawn around the map to help RNG but these are amazing changes
you could do it before too. I mean now he is more scary, but I was playing as him and still scare some people. So I don't believe you didn't. Only option you didn't scare people is if you just didn't play as him

Sadako kinda scary but her lullaby also spoiled her, you can definetely tell where is she coming from just from hearing her lullaby.
He's much better, and this looks terrifying to go against. Though I feel the devs might not let all this go live, idk just feels like they will tweak it back a bit.
This update makes me so excited to play dredge again. After seeing the changes I played a couple matches on the live version and holy fuck I can’t wait to be able to play this updated version. Even though I still managed to get a 4K in the live servers, this PTB version feels so much faster and smoother to play as and might make Dredge easily my newest main 😅
Yes, the buffs are great, but I'm still missing one thing: Either the devs should have made it so that you get a small speed buff when you destroy locks (similar to the Trapper), or they should have created Vecna-like additional chests from which the survivors have to get locks (of course you can only get one lock). at the same time as his normal item -> and a maximum of 10 are allowed to lock cupboards at the same time). Then everything was really great. That's okay 
These buffs are great sure but like you said, the locker rng is a huge component so i dont know why bhvr hasn't added additional locker spawns on maps😮💨

I think they buffed Writing, Calendar and boat key already along with Malthinkers but nothing else. Probably for the best they don't touch more of her add-ons just to see how she plays with her new changes so they don't make the mistake of somehow making her so overpowered they have to shut her off
That would be so op .-., as a dredge main I recognize that those buffs you said would make the dredge just waaaay too oppressive and strong, and about the "can counter easily", yeah, by running to the next tile and to the next one etc... until they finish them, and if you played good, you get the hit, if not, you find someone else, dredge doesnt really need all those buffs
do we really need more "hold w or get a free hit on you" killers? i don't think buffing the remnant is a good idea, should buff the rest of its kit instead.

@@MurasakiPhoenix they are not buffed at all. They have just split the effects of theses addons and put it in the basekit.

I've been playing Dredge lately to prepare for the changes. Looks awesome!
yeah i got to play against a few dredges on the ptb..half the games ppl dc'd off rip but a few everyone tried.
personally i rly dont know dredge's addons that much, but i would somewhat like the locked lockers to be a tiny bit safer as i rly did feel it barely bought me the second difference in runnning away from my gen. tho im very glad his TP got buffed watching it in the past made me feel sad for those mains.
so id prefer that its locker escape speed be more tied to addons than base kit
I hope this Dredge comes to live as it is in PTB.

The most unused add-ons should be changed for the dredge. Like one should increase the numbers of lockers in a map by at least 4 or 5 and the other to at least get rid of the locks of 6 lockers
As a dredge main, these changes make me happy. My boy struggled to do much with his power just being so RNG dependent. It still is, but at least now he's stronger when the RNG does favor him. I'd still rather BHVR actually made it so locker spawns are more consistently around gens, even without dredge being picked. So many locker perks on both sides and they're always so useless with bad lockers.
The Dredge is actualy a scary killer to me, ive played dbd since 2017 and hes the first to actually make me jump everytime. The thing i didnt like about playing against him tho is nightfall, idk how to counter or what to do during it, should i just do map knowledge??
I feel like im only good against dredge when i run Windows of Opportunity so i know where im going during night fall
dredge used to be my main, he's my first and still only P4 (I know, low level but I don't play all that much) and I stopped playing him because of how clunky and slow he felt. The fact they've updated him seems like a fever dream

maybe they could give myers a nightfall mechanic? could be cool/scary to just see him standing still stalking you in the dark at the edge of your games vision
So rework a killer with the same power as another killer...? What would be the point of Myers then?
I wonder if the faster teleports can be a disadvantage, with the slow ones you had a long time on one locker for a person to attempt to lock it and then grab them. with a faster teleport you might get to the locker before they do.

@@cuppycakey5013 you can still hear him coming from a mile away, though because he is too loud 😅. The only killers that give me most jumpscare in DBD is Myers and Ghostface. Sadako kinda scary but her lullaby also spoiled her, you can definetely tell where is she coming from just from hearing her lullaby.

This update makes me so excited to play dredge again. After seeing the changes I played a couple matches on the live version and holy fuck I can’t wait to be able to play this updated version. Even though I still managed to get a 4K in the live servers, this PTB version feels so much faster and smoother to play as and might make Dredge easily my newest main 😅

Yes, the buffs are great, but I'm still missing one thing: Either the devs should have made it so that you get a small speed buff when you destroy locks (similar to the Trapper), or they should have created Vecna-like additional chests from which the survivors have to get locks (of course you can only get one lock). at the same time as his normal item -> and a maximum of 10 are allowed to lock cupboards at the same time). Then everything was really great. That's okay

as a dedicated dredge main i’m happy to see it getting some love, but i still kinda enjoyed the challenge
What about the gen rushing problem even if I use surge overcharge and pop goes the weasel?
At first I was like holy crap they seriously buffed Dredge! Then I realized that my playback speed is set to 1.25x
These buffs are great sure but like you said, the locker rng is a huge component so i dont know why bhvr hasn't added additional locker spawns on maps😮💨
