I'm in love with your birdhouses! Your videos are right to the point {no talking for 5 mins before you build... that is a great RUclipsr, one that gets it done right away}
Another cool looking bird house, Ken I saw some of your other bird houses that you built. You sure do like to build the unique looking ones..very cool my new friend
If you are a bird lover you might like another video that i have.. Identifying birds in your own backyard..ruclips.net/video/Z9-p-VFuUT0/видео.html..What I feel is some good video on several dozen birds..You might enjoy it..
I am working on Flower boxes and I want to make a bench for the garden with the rest..Trying to use it all...Thanks for the idea of a table..I do like it and will try it..Thanks again, I appreciate the idea..
@@ROBBANKS666666 Hi there...The State is Massachusetts. Part of the New England Area..As you know...The yard is a constant work in progress...I do enjoy it..as I hope you do too..
Very cool bird house..You can put this any where in your yard and it would look Great, very clever idea,,Seems to be a simple project..I like that you give us choices..
Good question..It takes two to three years for the bark to fall off, then you still have a bare wood nesting box.. If you look in the background of the opening shot you can see one on the tree without bark..It been there for five years now...Also notice the woodpeckers and the squirrel have made the opening hole bigger..I now have larger birds nesting in it
Thank you, I appreciate the comment..We do enjoy the yard very much and we do put some time into it...I do wish I had more money and more time to put into it..
Nice! Might have to do one one of these days. That would make a good safe home for a lil' birdie. Not to take away from the way you did it, but I would put a little piece of dowel rod inside by the hole before I screwed it together and a piece outside the hole, just to help them get in and out a little easier. The other thing I would do is put the hole on the opposite side so the rain wouldn't drip down over the hole from the top being sloped towards it. All in all tho, nice project! Thank you!
Hi Ken, love this all natural birdhouse! Question: at 2:22 you are using a chain saw to hollow out he log. What kind of bench do you have the log cradled in to secure it? Thank you Ken!
@Bret Cales interesting points ,if anyone else wants to learn about building an aviary try Panlarko Expert Aviary Planner (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my neighbor got excellent success with it.
Loved this video. Great explanation for how to build the bird house. I especially liked seeing the cute birds eating out of it at the end of the video.

Absolutely love the idea. I am going to make one. I just wished you had included in the video the best way to attached it to a tree. I am sure it is quite heavy!! I would hate to see it fall down in years to come. Hopefully you can let me know how to attach it to a tree. thanks
Yes I should have said something...I used two good size lag bolts..One I took the roof off and two I went through the enterance hole..I needed an extension on the drill and the ratchet to lag it in the hole..Yes the Bird house was heavy....I screwed and 2X4 to the tree placed the bird house on it, and put the two lag bolts on..Then I took the 2X4 off...I hope this helps amd I hope it gives you some ideas...Good luck with your project..

5 inch hole saw and you dont have to cut the log into two or cut the bottom off, just the top and need no screws for the sides.
How deep can you go with a 5 inch hole saw????
