  • In today’s walk, I set out from Princetown and hike to a haunted farmhouse and the oldest cross on Dartmoor! Oh, and a few tors as well!
Nun’s Cross Farm is set in a remote valley in the heart of the national park, and was the setting for the mysterious disappearance of a woman sometime before the farm was abandoned in the early 20th century.
The cross nearby, from which the farm takes its name, is the oldest on Dartmoor!
This is my first hike on this channel from Princetown, a small town nestled in the centre of Dartmoor National Park, making it a perfect location to explore the surrounding tors.
No wild camping this time out, but I am planning my first solo wild camp in the near future, so stay tuned for that!
    Tors visited in this video:
    South Hessary Tor
    Cramber Tor
    Hart Tor
    Other points of interest:
    Princetown
    Nun’s Cross (Siward’s Cross)
    Nun’s Cross Farm
    Cramber Trig Point
Join me for the walk, and don’t forget to subscribe if you like hiking and outdoor videos.
    As always, thanks for watching!

Good hike. If you come down from cramber tor in future and stream too high and wide, walk to the left of river and you will come to a metal walkway across the stream.

Thank you! I’ll bear that in mind as I’m sure I’ll be heading that way again, it’s a beautiful area!
