Perfect summary. Our tutor gave us a lecture on this which I couldn't read it down to the bottom line. Here things are very pretty straight to the point🙏

Got Rhematic fever as an 11 year old (my knee swelled up.) Am now 38, have rheumatic heart disease, had a valve replacement, and take warfarin daily now. I would choose a tissue valve if I could choose again only because, as a woman, warfarin and diet need to be monitored so closely and can really affect your quality of life.

It can result in heart damage - sinus node, A-V node, and/or heart valves. If that happens, it is then called Rheumatic Heart Disease.
