Great video! I agree with everything you said! Quick question… How does having more positional requirements decrease league activity? I can understand why having less positional starting requirements would decrease trades because of the flexibility but you mentioned starting 3RBs or 4WRs can decrease activity. Why is that?

What about signing players to contracts and salary cap?
Not something we do but I know others do!
Do you recommend a certain way to do the buy in the first year? Like paying double the pot or anything like that?
that's up to you and your league mates but if you don't trust the people in your league as much as you'd like - best to plan ahead.
If you were to start a league now or just after the regular season ends, and do a startup draft with all current players, then would you do the rookie draft after the actual NFL draft or before? Also this would mean that you do two drafts in the same offseason is that the correct way to do it?
If I were to do it, I would use kickers as a place holder for the rookie picks and then do a rookie draft after the nfl draft 🙏🏼
@@DynastyLandFootball Ok, but then how would you give the people their rookie draft picks. is each pick customizable, to where for instance, you could have one person with all the top 3 picks?
On sleeper, Whoever the commissioner is can manually set picks in settings

Our normal league only has five bench spots. So for dynasty do you definitely want way more than that?
Also, can you do custom matchmaking for example, you play your own conference twice then and out of conference games once?
Yes you should have more, I’m not certain on the last one

cant do a rookie draft before the startup
I could really use some help setting up our startup draft. Slepper does not allow me to do more than 10 rounds. Any advice?

Seasons coming to an end in dynasty do I leave the auto renew tab on or take it off? When do I auto renew after the championship or wait till new rookie draft? I just want the previous season history next year
If it’s on sleeper, it won’t matter what time you do it - it will automatically bring history whenever you renew.

How do you add the supplemental draft new rookies ? Don’t see the option for it at the moment.
I see you did 4 Rounds for incoming rookies. I just came from a Lg that had it at 10 rounds but disbanded before I saw how it worked. I’m starting a fresh Lg and have it at 7 rounds like in real life is that a good set for a 12-14 team Lg ?
7 is pretty drastic in our opinion, if its a true Dynasty League where you are only drafting incoming rookies, then by Round 4 you are most likely drafting practice squad players or guys who won't make an NFL impact. Round 5 is the most I would go myself but we do 4.
What recommendations do you have for a 12 team Lg. We have 1Qb 2RB 3 WRs 1 TE 2 Flex 1 SFlex
How do you manually add that 2.13 pick for the rookie draft?
commish can pause the draft and add the player manually for the team

Why not an auction draft as a start up? Does this not give the most parity and take the “luck” of the draft position out of it?
because then you would have to do an auction draft
@@DynastyLandFootball Wasn’t trying to be snarky, we are doing a start up dynasty league for many first timers. Trying to weigh the pros and cons of both, can you provide insight as to why you prefer a snake vs auction? Or is it just preference?
@@corywilliams2674 my bad, there really is not wrong way to draft. Auction is fun, we just prefer the trading action of a StartUp :)

@@stich21 hahah you’re good!! Hopefully you & your league are able to be on a call or stream together, etc. that way the pick can be added while you pause the draft :)
Why not best ball with the taxi squad added .
If you want to play best ball then do so!
