- In this video, I react for the first time to Cakra Khan performing a cover of 'Iris' by The Goo Goo Dolls. In this video, I analyse his amazing performance, explain and demonstrate his vocal techniques and I'll tell you what I think made it so great.
I am astonished at this vocal performance. It is certainly one of the most impressive vocal deliveries I have ever heard!

Thank you SO MUCH for the incredible support! ✨
You’re one of the few reactors I’ve seen who have had an emotional reaction after the instrumental break, after the big whistle/falsetto note. That hit me in the gut too, that part. Somethings so raw and emotional there, and a beautiful belting. so impactful. And you explained that the key change was not just a key change, but he change the notes in a way that made it more impactful to, I’ve always thought that, but I have always waited for somebody to explain it, and say I’ it out loud. Thank you for being the only one.
Cakra Khan is a master of vocal technique, and his range is impressive. For vocal rasp (and to hear his speaking voice), his version of It's a Man's World is as good if not better than James Brown's. He interprets Amy Winehouse in Love Is a Losing Game in a jazzy take, backed by a couple of musicians. Rise Like a Phoenix is exciting and let's him soar vocally. Tennessee Whiskey is a perfect cover of an iconic song. I hope you are intrigued enough to continue reviewing Cakra's numerous covers as well as his Indonesian songs.
🎉
Yes, agree

What an interesting voice! This is the first time I've heard him. Will have to check out more.
Lolli hits another reaction out of the park. She is an international treasure for all of us to enjoy
I think the fact she TEACHES what the singer is doing then DEMONSTRATES the same tonal vocal control . . . is what sets her totally apart in my mind. Absolutely enjoyable to listen to her reviews.
@@Texas75023 T
Totally agree I first noticed that watching her Dimash reactions.
@@rexb2918 I started with the Pentatonix Halleluljah review. I bet I've watched that 20+ times. Shared it with people who said *THANK YOU!* in every case. I wish her the best of success.
His cover of "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" literally gives me goosebumps.

His voice is amaaaaaaaaaazzzing. Loli , I am completely emotionally invested in you and what happens here.❤
you are the only vocal coach that can broke down the technique so precisely even with perfect example how to apply it. iam impressed
Agreed
This is the first reaction about him that I watched
Didn't know someone who has rare and unique tone like him.
Thanks Lolli.
This was a really incredible voice performance, thanks for all the wonderful and fun information about it!
i know i'm not the only Voice mother fan who is most entranced by her own vocal mastery.....i live for her occasional singing
Another wonderful analysis. Your level of understanding is on a plane infinitely above my mortal level. Thank you for helping us Fairy Voice infants learn the mechanics of singing. Please keep nurturing your children with these tasty morsels. You are the best!🥰
You were literally presenting the breakdown extremely clear. Wow. It's the best "lecture" based on a case study. Thanks a zillion!
Epic and emotional reaction, check. In depth and meaningful analysis, check. Beautiful demonstrations of vocal technique, check. Fantastic editing, check. All things that I've come to expect from your videos, but it never gets old. You're truly a joy and a blessing to us all.
Hope you had a great time at the beatbox competition! Looking forward to future demonstrations of your undoubtedly blooming array of vocal techniques! Much love!
Best reaction so far. Not only amazed with Cakra's vocal, but you analyzed his technics so detail. Thank you!
I remember him when he did a concert on my uni last year.. he got a very good husky voice when he hit the high note
We Want More Chakra Khan ❤️❤️
Great reaction and analysis, young woman. Thank you very much. I love what you do. Cheers 👏🌟👍🤩❤️🌹
Lolli, you are definitely the vocal coach who gives me the most technical support for my own singing and voice. Your explanations for the different singing options are exceptionally good...thanks for that! ...
Not to mention that you have by far the most amazing, versatile voice that can be found on you tube.
He is an established singer in Indonesia & his talking voice is the same as his singing voice! Listen to his cover of tennessee whiskey to listen to his voice & it's a superb cover with runs & riff! Lots of love from Singapore ❤
He is the favorite famous singer artist from our country Indonesia. And reportedly he will take part in the America's Got Talent 2023 competition.
His khan a common name in indonesia?
This was also my first listen to this guy…Wonderful Lolli!!
Your presence and enthusiasm has salvaged my whole week! Charm and grace AND spot on analysis, accompanied by disarming beauty!
(I'm going to learn how to do that "fairy sigh" thing!)
This performance was unbelievable! What a different way to present this song. But you, Lolli, are borderline unbearable for me sometimes! You are just so beautiful, knowledgeable, talented, goofy, adorable, funny, authentic and down to earth! Ugh. I just want to hang out with you and drink tea and listen to amazing humans sing... And maybe get married ❤😂
Thanks for bringing joy and a heightened level of appreciation to Cakra's rendition of Iris. As always, I immensely enjoyed your expressions and spirit.
If you wanna hear his speaking voice you should react his other best cover
" it' s A man's World "
" You Are Beautiful "

He has an ability to capture the feeling of the song that I find it rare to find in others....
This was one of the best performances I saw it last year. You’re in for a fantastic treat!
Cakra Khan is just at another level of singing. Blew me away. Wow. A Master singer delivering a peak performance. Does not come any better with his vocal range and the rasp ! A level 7 hurricane has hit.
Liked him more than Dimash. Because I suffer from acute heterosexuality I don't normally gravitate much towards male singers. But this guy has a cool tone and color to his voice, and got to love that power. Awesome. Brilliant reaction and analysis too.
I've been waiting for this one, Lolli!
I've listened to your reaction a couple of times and I am amazed (again) at your knowledge and the content of your comments. Cakra (the Ca is pronounced as Cha in his native language I'm told) is an established singer in Indonesia. His youtube channel contains lots of Indonesian songs and dozens of covers of popular western songs. Worth additional reactions.
"A moment of truth in your lies" .......... gets me every time for past 20+ years!
I really love your reaction I think more than reaction ... You are a great vocal coach... Clear and entertaining ... Good job beautiful coach 👍
A stunning performance. Thanks for the brilliant analysis.
Yay! Love this! I’ve been hoping you’d react to one of his songs! And you can hear his speaking voice at the beginning of his cover of Tennessee Whiskey (which is also great)

the breakdown extremely good, It's the best one so far
Phenomenal! As a distortion fan, you MUST hear Melody (of Liliac) singing "Not Afraid". After Will Ramos, I thought no distortion could ever surprise me...
It's amazing how one "theremin" reference can send you down an hours long youtube rabbit hole. Thanks Fairy Voice Mother!

The best reaction ever since i was watching "Iris" covered by Cakra Khan. How you explained and produced the same sounds as him also super cool.
Love how you analyzed & describe Cakra's vocal skills.....by far the best i've seen in youtube
I only just discovered your channel and even though my artistic talents have never been able to reach into the realm of music, as a student of health and the human body I absolutely love how you describe the physical processes of how one can channel such intense and raw emotion into others with nothing more than one's voice. From one nerd to another, I hope you keep that up!
Absolutely the best interpretation of this song!!!!
Support cakra khan on America's got talent ❤
Don't forget to react every performance of him 😊😊😊 thank you
Just love cakra, his voice and all about him. Do more of him.

Always enjoying reaction,,knowledgeable,,yet easy n humble presentation,,
I saw that! Was that a tear? Haha It brings tear to my eyes too. What's there to not love it, right? Great reaction. And thanks for the explanation!
I enjoy all of your analysisisisis (pronounced analyseas). Being an Aussie I particularly enjoyed your John Farnham reaction (I'm also partial to Pentatonix). Anyway... I would love to see you do JOE BONAMASSA & BETH HART - I'D RATHER GO BLIND (Live in Amsterdam) as I know it would knock your socks off and rock your world. It's one of those performances that is just totally oozing with emotion and overloaded with extreme talent.
I must say you are amazing. You explain! Watching your video, i learn new things. Not only saying yeah he is good but we also got informed why he is good. Thank you.
When a vocal coach has bass face at someone singing you know that person did their job
