Great Job!! Now dig to find Sunny Hancock as he chronicles this shrewd exchange for the pinacle in Cowboy Poetry.

He's a lot older than when I knew him at the canyon. But then again, so am I. I ain't as round as Ross though. :)

A lot older since I new him in Prineville too. He had blond hair & his sister had blond hair.
When we were kids he gave me a belt buckle for my birthday. It says "nickel" on the back. And, it has a horse shoe with an agate in it, on the front. And, we went horse back riding.
Where we rode is ruined by a golf course now. To this day when I'm coming down "the grade" into town, I look down where there use to be dirt roads, houses, & barns. And, hate that golf course.

@@richardwarner3705That's an amazing story - the belt buckle off of his own belt? What a guy.

He's my cousen, we are only a month or two appart in age, he's the older one. And, before my mother (His Aunt) died in a car wreck, we were together alot as young children. But, only sporaticly after that.
Even as a kid he was real good natured. He liked to laugh. And, he could tell the funniest story's even then. He was intertaining as hell.
As a kid my favorite game was..LETS PLAY WAR! For Ross it was COWBOYS & OUTLAWS OR INDIANS!.
And, something that would happen often. For instance, 'me', my sister 'Shannon' our Uncle 'Jim', 'Ross', & 'some other kids' that were always around, would be running & playing outside. Soon, we be woundering "where's Ross"? Uncle 'Jim' new where he was. Every time he would be back in the house, in front of the TV watching old reruns of "Roy Rogers", "Gene Otrey", "Tex Ritter" or any other old B/W western that was on. And, eventhough we could coax & beg him to come outside & play again. Eventually, again he would be vanish, back to the TV and those old western classics, untill they ended.
Years later 'Jim' & I would smile about that. 'Ross' was all cowboy right from the start. He new what he was going to be. It was in his blood.😉👍

🙊🙉🙈GoogleRUclips👶 removed my reply. In my reply I provided some anectdotes about our childhood.
I don't know why 'RUclips' would do that. My reply was only a little bit about our grandparents house & some humor.
The thing about the belt buckle is, he didn't know it was my birthday till I told him. A few minutes later he was handing me that "nickel" belt buckle.
