      Hi Harry. I admit I was a bit nervous about running throught the water. But they did fine except for one time. I lost signal for just a couple of seconds. What is even more amazing is during the clean up and maintenance if found little to no water in the differentials and transmission. The tires, on the other hand, were full of it.

      @@ckadventures7767 hey buddy. I'm sorry. I haven't forgot you. I have finally figured out my problem with uploading video. unfortunately, the Maintenance footage is unusable due to me changing some video setting my editor didn't like. I'm sure you probably figured out a maintenance plan by now. but I will reshoot the video and get it posted for you. I just need a dirty truck and some warm weather. in the meantime, outside of a wash and air compressor dry. the only thing I do is make sure no dirt or water is trapped in the differentials, (remove diff covers for inspection.) motor and transmission, (disassembled for inspection.) this is where I find most of the water. only if it's been under water. if you just getting it dirty then all you need is a rinse and air dry if you're running bearing you got to clean and lube. I'm still running the bushings. if that's all you're running this is a very low maintenance rig. I hope this helps and I'm sorry about the inconvenience.

      Hi Bill. Thank you for subscribing. it may be overkill, but I clean my rigs after every run. I dont know why, but hardly any water gets in the axles. Maybe a drop is all I have ever found. Where I do find the water is in the motor and transmission. And my tires are absolutely full of water. I am running the bushings everywhere but the transmission. I would check your rig after you run it the first few times just to see where you need the attention. Maintenance is important. These rigs are simple to clean. Thanks for the question brother. @@usssoupership thanks for the answer mate! Do you maybe have some advice what to upgrade first on my trx4m defender? I ordered the light kit but i have no idea where to start with the drivetrain and all that :D

    • @usssoupership
      @usssoupership  Год назад +1

      @lovrooo HI. I would be happy to offer some advice. It's hard to say exactly where to start with upgrades. They are really good rigs. The Defender is top-heavy. My first upgrade was to add some weight down low. So I got the (traxxas)wheels and tires with brass rings. That made a huge improvement. Next, i installed the low gear in the transmission, and wow, another improvement. It climbed like a champ. I could have stopped right here and had a nice truck. But it was still top-heavy. So I started adding more weight. Bigger wheels and tires, steel link bars, differential covers, caster blocks, and knuckles that started a domino effect of part failures . Drive shafts, steering servos, differential gears. The added weight added stress, and the upgrade game was on. In the end, it's so heavy it hurts. of course, I added even more and dressed it out with cargo and a trailer. It's a beautiful outfit but limited compared to where it was with just wheels and tires and a low range gear. That's where I'd start. After that, it's all about your flavor. Have fun, and thank you for the question. It is only my opinion from personal experience. I hope it's good advice for you. Just Beware of the Dominos.

      @LuNa-yd1fz no it's not normal. Most likely some crud got into the transmission and motor area. That's where I find most of the debris after running in the slop. It may also have some in the axles. Take a look and see. Clean them out and hope fo4 the best.

      @@kyungjoonlee9937 hi. Nice choice's. The trimming has to be done to the fender flares and the lower part of the front bumper. Traxxas left a couple real nice lines on the under side of the fender flares. I used a razor knife and followed the lines. Make a few passes with the knife to cut through. I used the outside line and just trimmed that lip off. As for the rear of the flare by the running boards on the front wheels I used a file to round the edges. They do rub a little. No binding you can see in the video. If you don't trim they will bind. Also I'm running the DDP wheels with the deep side in. 3mm washer between hub and hex. If you have small enough washer try to run them on the outside under the nut. Oh I just remembered also had to grind down a socket to install the nuts on the wheels. It's a tight fit.
