    We have 2 of these bases that we absolutely love! When they were delivered they were programmed to be used together on 1 remote since we bought the california king mattress. We have since learned that there is no compromising on comfortable sleep positions and bought 2 separate mattresses. How do I reprogram them so each has its own remote again?

    • @BeducationMattress
      @BeducationMattress  7 лет назад

      Gather the remote that is currently unaffiliated with a base unit. Pick the base unit that you will control with this remote. On the "brain" attached under the base unit there is a "Learn" button. Press and hold that for 3 seconds and the base until brain will now be in the "Learn" mode. Then, within a few seconds, press any button on the remote you are going to affiliate with that base and it will now operate that base independent from the other base. It's all explained in your manual in case you forget. I hope that helps.

    How does the wall saver compare to the Leggett and Platt S-Cape? Is it just as good as shifting the bed back the same amount? Thank you

    • @BeducationMattress
      @BeducationMattress  7 лет назад

      You're comparing five-segment to four-segment, so they work a bit differently. The center section (how you measure "wall saving action") moves back 6" in the Contemporary. You'll find ranges of 4" - 8", depending upon brand and segmentation. I haven't measured the S-Cape so I can't comment on that for you.

    Hi! Thanks for making the video, very helpful while trying to pick an adjustable!
    My wife and I have been using a tempurpedic for quite a number of years now and it's been great compared to our old bed with my lower back issues and upper fused spine. Recently ive been doing research on health issues related to constant sinus problems and have learned about all the toxic chems in most mattresses, wow! I'll probably switch to an Astrabed since its about as toxic-free as I can find.
    I love your adjustable base! How well do the vibrators work with 8 and 10" foam mattresses? How much loss do you feel going from an 8 to a 10?
    Thanks! :)

      +mikie2501 I'm glad you liked the video. Regarding the massage, that totally depends upon the mattress placed upon the base. While you certainly feel the vibration unit through a thick mattress (I have 15" of Talalay on mine and we feel it just fine), the amount of vibration is of course purely subjective as to how much is felt. These units in adjustable beds are meant to soothe and not really provide any therapeutic relief, like an actual physical massage by a trained therapist. As long as you have that understanding going in, you should be just fine.
      One thing I have to advise you about in your comments is the statement you made about Astrabeds. I would tell you to take some time and perform some in-depth research about that company/marketing group. There are many, much better choices out there who make "cleaner" products and are much more reputable and knowledgeable about latex and their certifications. Here's a link to get you started: www.themattressunderground.com/mattress-forum/general-mattresses/12735-astrabeds-brand-latex-mattresses.html .
      Good luck.

      +Mattress To Go thanks for getting back to me so quick! :). I understand your description perfectly and thats just what I wanted to know. Thanks for the link as well, I'll go check it out! I haven't spent much time yet on research yet, so more information is awesome! Thats the problem and/or fun I guess, it's 1% product and 99% advertising and marketing out there that you get to sort through, hehehe :)

      +mikie2501 You're welcome. Yes, you are correct, almost all mattress "review" sites are really revenue sites and they don't offer much objective information. We've had great success and positive feedback on the Rize Contemporary from all of our customers across the country. It's the most popular power foundation that we ship.

    Can you reprogram the incline, zero-gravity or lounge buttons? I pressed the learning button until it blinks and then hit the button and it doesn't change the button.

    • @BeducationMattress
      @BeducationMattress  9 лет назад

      Tim Oien The pre-programmed positions are not customizable. The button on the bottom of the control unit is not a learning button - it is to associate the remote to the control unit. I do not recommend using the pre-programmed positions on any power foundation. Your body constantly changes, so you should first adjust the foot section and then the head section until you are comfortable. Find what works for you on that particular day.

    What kind of mattress can I use with this? If I use a certain mattress, say a memory foam, is it possible that the massage feature wouldn't be felt as much compared to if I Used a spring mattress?

    • @BeducationMattress
      @BeducationMattress  8 лет назад +1

      Mattresses used for a power foundation need to be "adjustable bed friendly" if they are innerspring products. Memory foam and latex mattresses will also work with power foundations (latex is always what I recommend). Certain mattresses can tend to absorb the vibration felt from the massage units. Memory foam mattresses (and innerspring mattresses containing memory foam) can tend to have this minimizing impact. It all depends upon the makeup of the mattress in question and the mass of the person on top of the mattress. But expecting memory foam mattresses to absorb some of the vibration energy would be a realistic expectation.

    Hello Sr. I am thankful for this video and to find you. Where can I buy this remote control for this adjustable bed? Please help me. Thank you.

    • @BeducationMattress
      @BeducationMattress  Год назад

      You can first contact RizeHome and see if they have availability of this part: rizehome.com/pages/non-warranty-part-orders . If they don't have the remote, you may wish to contact an aftermarket adjustable bed parts company, such as GenesisWarranty genesiswarranty.com/adjustable-bed-parts.html . You can also sometimes find people selling these parts online at places such as amazon or ebay.

    This is a really great base but I do not like the look of the casters. Is it possible to get regular legs and not casters? Many thanks!

    • @BeducationMattress
      @BeducationMattress  7 лет назад

      You can unscrew the casters and put the legs on the floor directly. Or order 2" riser pieces to replace the casters. The new Contemporary II does not use casters.

    I am un syncing the frames and the main remote we used is still working with the other frame. I have the other remote working with just the o e side. How do I fix that

    • @BeducationMattress
      @BeducationMattress  3 года назад

      Assuming this is for the Rize Contemporary in this video, syncing a remote to each base is quite simple. Hold down the Learn button for 3 seconds on the brain unit attached to the bottom of the adjustable bed. The red LED light on the brain will illuminate. Then press any button on the remote control you want to affiliate with that base. The red LED light will flash and you're done. It is explained with photos on page 8 of the manual here: cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2516/1540/files/rize-contemporary-manual.pdf

    How do i close the bed for moving

    • @BeducationMattress
      @BeducationMattress  6 лет назад

      You don't close the adjustable bed to move it. You pace it in the flat position and transport it in that manner. If you don't have the original boxing material, I would recommend securing the top panel sections to the frame network with rope or ratchet straps, as they will move away from the frame network when placed on their side due to the gravity release safety system.

    What degree does the head go up to? Like my bed now goes up 70 degrees. I know the sleep number beds only go up to 60 or 65 which is not high enough for me. Can I put any mattress to go on these adjustable beds here? I know I can't use coil mattresses. Can I put a full size into my sleigh bed frame? Do I need to buy brackets? How much would a full size be? Why did you not show the light under the bed? How blue is this light? I know others have normal color. Thanks! I'm going crazy with all the selections on these adjustable beds! I do know I will never buy from sleep comfort EVER!! Went through 5 mattresses in 4 yrs! The base is slanted! I have horrible back problems & a lot of other health issues, & this bed is making them worse!!! I need a new adjustable bed & mattress!!!!

    • @BeducationMattress
      @BeducationMattress  8 лет назад +1

      +Denise Long Shiflett The Contemporary is rated at 70 degrees, but it is a bit different because it is five segments. Your head actually gets propped up a bit more. Of course, true head elevation will depend upon the mattress you use. Some innerspring mattresses are rated as "adjustable friendly" but I've always recommended an all-latex mattress for use with a power base. Power bases from most brands are designed to fit within the perimeter of an existing bed set (headboard, footboard and rails). They are placed in the middle of the bed set (remove all slats first) and bear their own weight, and are not attached to the bed set in any manner. While most power bases come with brackets to attach a headboard, I do not recommend using them as they wobble a bit to much. Placing the power base within the perimeter of a bed set is your best option. I don't show the light under the bed because you can not see it much in a lighted environment like my showroom. However, they do a good job with a very pale light in the master bedroom at night time. For pricing information, fill out our shipping quote form here: www.matt-to-go.com/Shipping_MTG.html . Does a bed frame fit around the contemporary model?

    • @BeducationMattress
      @BeducationMattress  Год назад

      Most adjustable bed bases are able to fit within the perimeter of a headboard/footboard bed set. You'd have to measure the inside dimensions of the bed set in question, and compare that to your adjustable bed base. Adjustable bed bases tend to be very similar in size to the foundation / box spring they replace.

    Can I have these in a Large RV with slides?

    • @BeducationMattress

      They use regular power AC 120V, so it would simply depend upon the space you have in your RV where it slides. I've known people to do this.

    my remote is not working with new batteries

    • @BeducationMattress
      @BeducationMattress  8 лет назад

      I'm not a warranty service provider for adjustable bed bases, but each adjustable bed manufacturer has service companies that handle questions about their products. The number for Rize is 877-826-8757. I always tell people to contact the store first where they bought their product because they can sometimes have tips to assist you. I know some of these suggestions are common sense, but a few basic things to look at (this would apply to all brands): Make sure base unit is plugged in and circuit breaker is not tripped, make sure batteries in remote are fresh, check that remote lights up when buttons are pressed (lets you know batteries are probably good), re-associate your remote control to your power foundation base unit (this process will vary by manufacturer and will be described in your owner's manual), make sure there are no obstructions stopping your power foundation from moving, if your base has a fuse protection system see if the external fuse is blown. These are some basic steps. If none of those work then I would contact the customer service department for your particular brand for more specific assistance. Good luck!

    How do I turn off the Light?

      There's a button on the reverse side of the remote control that turns the under bed light off and on. Simply press that. It's explained in detail in the video here: ruclips.net/video/HpWdjASqq3c/видео.html .
