I would love to see a Null.sec fight with those ships... It must introduce so much damage and chaos, that I can't see anything but the logi being overwhelmed. If 3 targets equals normal dps and you can chain 5-6 targets you are applying a LOT of damage across the enemy fleet, which will result in a lot of broadcast for reps. Than you should be able kill the target or a new target under cover of the mass-broadcasting

No it dont ... its dps is shit and its dont apply well and even more have lower dps when you are moving.... For any fleet composition strategi to deal whit that is same as being bombed or fight in citadel defenze field. You order people to broadcast for rep onli if you are primary or under 50% of tank and of course order people to set drones to pasive..... And since that fleet dps is laughable they dont kill anything 90% of shots chain into drones so basicli you have all the time in the world cause for them to actuali kill anybody they whud need 5 to 1 ratio of people .... So the consequences CCP talks about is not about stopping the Triglavians, but not siding with the Triglavians for the soon-to-be invasion. The High-Sec peeps gone need another way around them Drifter DD’s and I suspect these boats are it.
Oh, what I came to say at first was. Doing rock havens, make each individual SB orbit to gate at 20 on their own paths, that way the NPCs stay inside the haven.
18:30 - my fit is more pvp high sec oriented. there's major threats via PIRAT splinter groups going after solo owned structures (they rampaged through my area just before the great loot drop - abandoned state) with their miniblob of nestors/leshaks. if this can pressure their cap booster/spider tank (no energy xfer btw) set up enough to have them go elsewhere for lower hanging fruit that would be worth every penny as for the smaller edencoms. i'm sure the cruiser class would be great for dealing with the emerging conduit triglavians with their penchant for mobbing the player within 10km pressuring enemy logi. absolutely will rule against that. and triglavians and ♦ blood raider will get brutalized by this. ofc, there's no way in hell i'm bringing these puppies to a FOB bash
Yeah I think you tank one up, send it into the mix of enimy logi as they have to be close..ish to rep and boom you take out the fleets logi. It would especially be good against spider gang logi imo.
Problem with that is the fps is so low you would probably need to send a few of them in to achieve that. Another way could be to have them mixed with the fleet and just randomly hitting ships causing everyone In the enemy fleet to wack the need reps button. This could cause confusion and mistakes for the logi but very gimmicky

For pve, sorta. If you take a couple of them into a haven they might work like remote smartbombs. For pvp, 1v1 absolute garbage, but for fleet fights it might be awesome. Not as main dps but I can see it as a weaken enemy fleet/ welp drones/ confuse logi thing.

Not sure how true that is. It will never do more damage per target but I have been shooting the same npc ships at the same time and took them all out at the same time. Check the first video I did you can see it chaining and doing the same damage to both ships
From a standpoint of effective application this thing is only good in battles where people are close and bunched up. You send them in and everyone else pulls back. They might be more effective in packs or pairs. Other then that your tactical effectiveness is a narrow window.
2 years later. I use stormbringers in rock havens, 5, they work. It's basically the same as my drone fleet yet I only have to point and click a couple times instead of cycle through. The ammo is expensive but the more you have on field less ammo is used since their tank isn't besting the applied dmgs. I am curious now what it'll be like with the thunderchild. I was 150 days from maxing all agnostic gunnery skills but found out they have no effect on vortons, I can cut that out and max level edencom bs 5 and the vorton to go with it. I'm thinking it will be really easy, but I worry about dread spawns and warping. But them again the stormbringers tank is so massive I might only have to align out then stop for them. Anyway, here's to new goals for the year. Cheers, flysafe. Maybe I'll come back and hash out my experience. So far, edencom is NOT for newbros as the risk to isk isn't worth it if inexperienced or lacking in skills. But for not newbros, it's nice.
I tested new edencom ships. They are such a trash is unbelivable. DOnt waste time/sp/energy on them. There are several problems with edencom ships. 1. DPS is to small 2. Tracking mechanism is based on missiles mechanism( explosion radius + velocity) 3. You have no control over to who is hit There is only 1 good use of them Take only 2-3 those new ships with you for pvp fleet in order for people to make broadcast and confuse logi. Another use is kill bomber fleets, but the cruisers have too low tracking...
In shield blob you can have 10-20% of those ships in fleet, they will weaken whole enemy fleet and logi attention will be spread, allowing for easier alpha/ breaking targets. In theory anyway. The range might be too small and having 20% more mainline dps/ tackle/ logi might be more useful... Very situational ship I guess.
Well, I take your advise and stop training for these ships because there is simply no use for them. What a same for such a new and good looking ship line.

The wealthy will train them and test them in Abyss soon. I think that's where they're going to shine. Particularly the Frigates for 3-mans and the Cruiser for solo T4 and below. Depends on how much dmg you can squeeze out of it once you bling it. The sheer number of mid slots will easily make them extremely tough to kill and highly resistant to neuts when blinged. We just need T2/Faction Highs and Lows for it and stacking up as much dmg lows as possible. Then we need to test their AOE DPS clear speed in Abyss T3 and up and see which weather types they handle easily. Maybe the Gila will finally have some competition besides 3-man Hawks.
It didn't help that you brought zero application with a weapon that's basically rage torps but I can't see it helping much...the single target dps is too low for pve and it seems you'll damage your own fleet mates as often as the enemy in pvp....the cruiser needs 300 dps and the BS 700 before these are worth the hassle/sp over normal weapons or smartbombs...
i could see these working on the back line just harrasing clumps in pvp maybe making logi ships work harder. But the lack od dps isnt great. Though if they made the range for the arcing greater that could work and just sheer numbers them. Cant logi everyone.
imagine in highsec.... doing a mission and in a second someone decloacks near your targets........ outch... concord is coming..... seems a nice way to loose ships
The arc respects security settings.. if someone flashy decloaks near your target you will get limited engagement timer. I don't see this as a pve ship though. You need a group of enemies in range to do decent dmg so any npc's that orbit far away or last few remaining gonna take looong to take down
Vorton projectors are the worst mechanic introduce in EVE since fozzy sov. They make no sense, they hit your allies, your own drones, and whatever other schmuck happens to be near. They do practically no DPS. They take an entire new subset of support skills to function, unlike Trig weapons which work off your existing gunnery skills. The ships have no role bonus, so they're horrendously underpowered. The ammunition costs nearly 20,000isk per shot, so you may as well be lobbing dead space hardeners at the enemy. Everything about Vorton projectors and the ships using them screws you over. You actually lose something when fitting them. EDENCOM is dead on arrival.
how can you NOT trigger concord in high sec with this thing ? Imagine shooting at a criminal in front of a gate lol ?
In Highsec if your safety is green you wont be able to shoot anything that gets you Concorded anyway. If its red then yes you might get concorded.
These types of videos where you go out with a hypothesis and then see how it actually works out are my favorite.

Why not equip Sentry Drones on it? That way they won't get in range to be hit by your main weapon.

Its cap stable with the microwarp off and nearly 4 mins with it on. more than enough cap for level 4's where I know there is no neuting
Vorton projectors are the worst mechanic introduce in EVE since fozzy sov. They make no sense, they hit your allies, your own drones, and whatever other schmuck happens to be near. They do practically no DPS. They take an entire new subset of support skills to function, unlike Trig weapons which work off your existing gunnery skills. The ships have no role bonus, so they're horrendously underpowered. The ammunition costs nearly 20,000isk per shot, so you may as well be lobbing dead space hardeners at the enemy. Everything about Vorton projectors and the ships using them screws you over. You actually lose something when fitting them. EDENCOM is dead on arrival.

Not really too interesting anymore. I think im about done with Eve, Ill just dock my stuff up in Asakai and play X4 instead! Work smart, not hard.
