    It's a 2003 Jimny same colour as yours.
    Will use all your great information to guide me to making an awesome adventure vehicle.

    Здрасти Жорка.Ще помогнеш доста на хората при избора на гуми ако при представянето на автомобила освен двигателя казваш набързо модификацийте. (Примерно заден блокаж.) Размер марка и модел гуми. The patrols are heavy, they need better and bigger tyres like 35 inch Maxxis Trepador.

    • @The4x4Lab
      @The4x4Lab  Год назад

      I agree. From what I have seen, Patrols need really aggressive mud tires and lots of momentum to be efective.

  • @internetttroll1908
    @internetttroll1908 Год назад +3

    Jimny!
    You run way to much air pressure to run the jimny on snow. air down alot more, and crawl thru there. im running 1-2 psi in my 35's on my jimny on snow.
    I'll bet you could crawl all those hills, if you just run the correct tire pressure, and no right foot.
    Wish i was no so far away, would be fun to ride with you.

    • @The4x4Lab
      @The4x4Lab  Год назад +3

      1-2 psi?! 😱🙏
      I was afraid to go lower than 1bar (14psi) but I guess the Jimny is so light that it won't pop the bead even with no tire pressure.
      Do you have experience in snow wheeling? Here in Varna there is snow for 5 days per year max 😅

    • @internetttroll1908
      @internetttroll1908 Год назад +3

      @@The4x4Lab My jimny is my daily, and i run 15 psi in winter even on road. (dont drive much on road, and its snowy roads and ice, much better grip, and much more fuel lol)
      I run 35x12,5R15 on 10x15" wheels and they work very well on snow with 1-2psi. the car float on the snow, instead of sinking. you just need to experience the difference, its really something special for the first time.
      You should NOT full send it tho, with low psi unless you run beadlock wheels.
      Crawling is key.
      Im located in Norway, and we do some deep snowwheeling here. 50-100cm of snow, depending on weather, the car will only sink 15-20 cm in the snow and keep floating with 35's.
      Next time you find snow, try with 30 psi, then air down to 5 psi to be safe and you will see huge difference.
      its night and day! look in youtube for snowwheeling and im sure you will understand. :-)

    • @The4x4Lab
      @The4x4Lab  Год назад +3

      I will definitely give low tire pressure a try!
      Do you have the factory 1.3 engine running the 35"?

    • @internetttroll1908
      @internetttroll1908 Год назад +3

      @@The4x4Lab yes i do, the G13bb from 1999. note tho, im running a Sj T-Case conversion with 6,5:1 gears in it.
      It works very well, stock axels, but im doing mostly crawling, i rarly full send it, unless needed in some situations.
      Not a single axel or u-joint broken yet.
      More power = more problems. yes, its not a rocket, but then i would choose another setup/car. i love it .
      I am looking for diffs from a manual 2005+ jimny as they are 4.3 as mine is 3.9 diffs. may not change too much, but some here and some there are good.

    • @The4x4Lab
      @The4x4Lab  Год назад +2

      Sure, I'm not worried about crawling on low gear, but about the highway speed 🙂 on average can you maintain 90km/h?
      But you are right, driving a Jimny requires a calm driver 😌

    • @O.Adrian
      @O.Adrian 3 дня назад +1

      @ I will say the Nissan patrol is the best, because is more confortable and you have the power you need on the road . The jimny is more bumpy and don’t have that much power on the road.. and the Toyota was in the middle of the jimny and patrol, comfortable and reliable. And now about the costs, the more comfort you want, the more you pay 😂
