Crystal UwU :3 new leaf is timeless 💕 I got it in June of 2013 and I’m still playing it to this day. I haven’t reset my town either. I have had so many great summer nights staying up until 4 am playing with my sister. Such amazing memories. I hope you get a switch soon :)

Same. So looking forward to it. I wanted the GameCube one as a kid so badly and just never got it and then also missed out on all the others essentially.
Unfortunately, because of Corona and the fact I have underlying health issues, I'll probably be forced to self-isolate. This game has come at a perfect time for me and to hear such positive reviews about it makes my sombre mood all the better.

updates guys i got it and i LOVE it, that is just me but i don’t regret it at all. it’s truly amazing, the beginning is kinda slow but it’s not as slow as i heard like when i’ve been playing the beginning it doesn’t feel slow at all i love it! anyways i hope this helped people out there

Th1boi Trump Th1boi Trump hello! so in no way do you need to play on a daily basis. the beginning is kind of slow but that doesn’t mean anything! always open if you have anymore questions i know how hard it is deciding. heck, i don’t play it daily sometimes and i’m still obsessed and an o.g player. you don’t get punished but if it’s a week the villagers might miss you and if you’re into making profit with turnips they’ll spoil if you miss a week (i think) but (i know) that they definitely will if you time travel backwards so be careful with that. there might be more weeds but that’s not bad and villagers might miss you, but it sounds like a lot but it really isn’t. worse thing i would say is turnips but you won’t even be missing a full week so once or twice is perfect! this week i only played like three times and still have bad so much fun, i just realized i read your comment wrong but yeah no consequences in any way besides a couple weeds growing. i hope you enjoy it! and if your gut is telling you no then don’t go for it! but you
will enjoy it i assure you even if you only play once or twice a week. it’s a shame how expensive the game is

“... excellently written characters that feel truly alive...” this was the biggest gripe I had with New Leaf and I’m so glad to hear this. I love the characters so much and missed that wonderful personality they (especially the special characters) had. This video was so wonderfully written!

I thought there was? You can draw on the bulletin board. The switch does have a touch screen, you can even buy a stylus.

Listening to your voice over this calm music calms me down for some reason when it comes to the hype. Seeing the gameplay visibly look like an average person playing helps a lot too.

This made me think that I started Animal Crossing on Wild World, and never fully upgraded my house, same goes for Let's Go to the City, and now New Leaf. I'm gonna probably abandon New Leaf when this arrives, so I'm just thinking collectively how much debt I'm in to Tom Nook 😂

The only gripe you had with the game is the interface can be a little awkward, that's impressive
That and you can't use the touchscreen option to make designs, which is EXTREMELY strange, given all the detail put in this game.

I mean, you do realize there's a whole list of stuff missing from the game that older games had right? At least, that's what datamining has found. Not to mention the horible dicision to make holidays "Free DLC" instead of having them in the game to begin with like they always were. Plus there are plenty of new features I would have liked to see.... like the ability to actually build up your home, instead of it being the same four rooms, a 2nd floor and a basement like it's always been. There are a LOT of ways nintendo could top this one.

12:22 people wondered how New Leaf could be topped? Uhh, no they didn't.
Right from the start people complained that there were no cliffs (completely flat town), that you couldn't put your tent on a beach, that the grass still turned to mud from walking on it, that you couldn't control where villagers move in unless you placed a bunch of patterns on the ground, that the inventory system still hadn't been improved, and many other things...
I would say 13/10 Nintendo, this game is going to be amazing

As much as I like the heavy emphasis lately on the decorating/customizing side of the series, what I really want to see more is the player interactions with the villagers. I wanna hear what they have to say.(also would love to see NEW villagers) I think I'm not alone when I say that the villagers are the stars of the series, so seeing what interesting conservations you engage in with them or the varied kinds of personalities that they radiate is what really makes the world come to life(though i will say, from the footage ive seen, the little actions they do in town like cleaning and eating is very cute and adds a bit of depth to the world)I want to see how "real" these characters truly seem, rather than just coming off as empty shells spouting robotic NPC jargon. It is possible, as I felt that the og game and Wild World had some clever dialogue. New Leaf was, well, dissapointing in that respect(IMO) Idk, i just felt that the interactions with the villagers/special characters felt bland and unimportant, as they repeat the same dialogue and a lot of the writing felt very dumbed down and safe. Hopefully this gets fixed with New Horizons. If not, then I guess...oh well.
