But, to those who lived in rural areas during liberation struggle, they can recall such inhuman behaviour perpetrated to villagers by freedom fighters. Their mindset has not changed since then. Villagers were forced to do despicable acts such as being asked to take a demo and kill your own father. I think that same evil spirit is still controlling our nation to this day. This is why our elderly still vote for the ruling party because they fear such atrocities will be enforced on them if they vote the other way. May the Lord help our nation pray and act. I was reading 2nd Kings 7 and it tells us that only 4 lepers saved the people. God is working with Apostle because He does not work with masses. I do not condemn all liberation struggle comrades. They sacrificed for our freedom, but we are not enjoying the freedom the genuine ones fought for (Kugutsa ruzhinji, kusungura mass yeZimbabwe) But is it what is happening now? Of course there are many freedom fighters who went to war because of their genuine love for the people of Zimbabwe and that song tells it all. These are few now as the whole system has been hijacked by those possessed by the devil whom we know comes to kill, steal and destroy. I love true freedom fighters because I cooked for them during the liberation struggle, but I cannot stand the way evil has prevailed to this level because of our leaders who entertain this for the sake of holding on to power. I think the government is right simply because we do have an option of wearing a clothe when moving from point A to point B and lets us all recall that the pandemic has no cure yet. prevention is better than cure. thank you.
