My guy well done video I was around when X-Men vs. Street Fighter dropped. Seeing that iconic hand shake between Ryu and Cyclops as a kid it blew my mind.
Marvel vs Capcom 2 is the best fighting game ever. You had to be in the arcade to understand. Proton cannons and drill claws, were the ultimate combo for me. SF4 is certainly up there too. Great video.

I was expecting a release date for the collection at EVO, but still waiting... I got to try it at the Capcom booth and playing MVC2 again just puts me into automatic HYPE mode. And yes I won with Megaman, Tron Bonne, and Servbot. Landed 4 lunchlines. Heheheheheh
One thing you should've talked about though is X-Men Children of the Atom. I believe that was the first game in this series. I've played it and it's suprisingly very fun and well polished. Probably my 2nd favorite in the franchise, actually.
Cota can be and most people do consider it the start of the series but I just wanted to talk about the games where Marvel and Capcom were crossing over their characters. Hopefully if there is a MvC4 I can spin the block and talk more about it these games
Fun thing is that there's two Proto Versus games via secret characters. Akuma was in X Men Children of the Atom, although with more Street Fighter II styled sprites. As was Anita from Darkstalkers in Marvel Super Heroes. And it's in the collection.
Up until I got a Dreamcast for MvC2. I was jelly at the perfect Sega Saturn ports while the PlayStation couldn’t handle the true tag features from XvsS til MvC1 😂😂

One slight correction. The original release of UMvC3 (360 and ps3) did not include Jill and Shuma. However in the 2017 rerelease (xbox one, ps4, and steam) both Jill and Shuma were included.
I honestly bought this because you rarely can play old video game types I love this deal and yes it is kinda spendy but I think it’s a great deal because all of these games are classics !! My personal favorite is marvel vs capcom 2 loved the characters designs and the old style of the game it has a special place in my heart!!
Big deal if Capcom doesnt make again the same mistake to put only characters that are popular in the west, if they claim that they want "globalize" their games then asian customers musto to be considered and stop ignoring them, we want Sengoku BASARA characters in MvC.
@@skyuruwith MvC notoriously not selling well in Japan with MvC 3 only selling 80k copies and MvCI doing way less idk how they’ll ever get the Japanese market unless they crossover with another Japan based studio. Also if we ever do get a new MvC I would be down for sengoku basara representation
@@RAVEMotionzZ MvC3 didnt selled because japanese audience was not so hype for the roster, especially for Capcom side, they was complaining how the choice of various characters was lame and not hype for the japanese audience, they clearly saw that everything was adapted for western market only and the reason i know its because i am japanese and i didnt has any hype too for MvC3 since the most voted DLCs in japan and asia was ignored.
@@skyuru I get why the character choices are more geared more towards the west especially since it crossing over the marvel. What were some of the characters that Japanese fans wanted and was the reception of TvC compared to MvC3

Mvc3 was not it for me all the trailers was better than the game. Some of the characters in marvel the way they draw the animation is terrible to me like she hulk.
Marvel vs Capcom3 no one thinks it’s one of the best fighting games, it’s trash!!!! And so are the other games after it’s. MVC2 and Soul Caliber 6 are the best and hold the crown!

The problem with Marvel vs Capcom games is Capcom characters. While Marvel delivered their best, Capcom gave us their worse characters after MVC2.
