Although I often talk about health and safety in my videos, please make sure you do your own research and take the relevant precautions to ensure that you are protecting your health. I am not responsible for anyone using resin and not taking the correct safety precautions. Resin is a chemical and as such should be always treated with respect and the manufacturers safety advice taken.
I just discovered hand sanitizer cleans silicone molds wonderfully. I used it on an old, dull mold and even got back some of the shine (not all but enough to use it). Really easy. Oh and if you live in Canada, Gorilla clear tape works best to get old epoxy off molds.
I use baby wipes and then the warm soapy water but everything is still so sticky. I also worry about the little bits of resin in the water. Can't put it down any drain as it ends up out in the ocean and that is a big problem these days.
Probably the alcohol in it but I thing over time, that can damage the moulds.
You set a good example of good work habits. You respect your tools and your supplies. TY. (Not to worry about any messes, they just mean you are actually working. )
Thanks Steve always helping others you're a good person :)
I absolutely *LOVE* your videos. You are so helpful.

@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts You're very welcome I know I will need tips when I start with resin and also do you cover your resin pieces with a box while curing?

Steve how do I clean resin off of the metal tray handles, it's stuck to paper towel too!!????
Question. My son has recently started doing 3d printing with uva resin. And spilled some on the floor of the garage. How do you suggest that can be cleaned up? It's still sticky.
Steve, I have accidentally poured just part b in my silicone molds..... how do I clean them out. I watched a youtube video that said to soak in hot water for 10 to 15 minutes then use soft bristle tooth brush with dawn dish soap. Didn't work, just spread resin everywhere and molds look worse then before.... please help if you can. By the way it's lets resin fast cure. Any help will be appreciated.
Accent was spot on 🤣
Hey ! Is the resin you are cleaning wet or dry?
What kind of brush did you use?
What about cleaning your hands from resin? I used gloves and still managed to get the resin on my hands.
I also get resin residue on my hands, I use orange hand cleaner and it works too.
Dish soap worked for me.
hello, i have a serious resin allergy. I made resin in this room for 1 year and 2 months, but I did not guess that epoxy was the cause of my eczema and severe itching and shedding of my dog. I had reserved a room in my house to make resin. After I realized that the cause of our allergy was epoxy, I gave up the epoxy completely and removed the materials from the house, but the tables, gas mask and hot air gun are still in the room and eczema occurs on my face every time I enter the room. Also, my dog is in this situation. I thought I had cleaned the floor and the tables completely, because there is no residue that I can see. however, our reactions to epoxy continue even though there is no epoxy in the room. What do I need to do to completely purify this room? I would be glad if you help. because I couldn't find any helpful resources or articles on this subject on the internet.
Hi Steve I love ALL your videos and they have helped me so much.. I heard that distilled water is good for cleaning resin equipment and even paintbrush that have been used for resin work... Have you heard this? Just wandering if it really works before spending more money 💰 😁
Will baby oil clean the resin out of the gradient cups while it's still wet?
I have a glass top table, any idea how I can get old dried resin off it?
Steve, what do you use the kiln for? Also, is that a Paragon F-120?
