  • #cirocpartner "In over 50 years, there has never been one location to preserve and honor the legacy and the history of Hip Hop...” until now. This one goes out to the storytellers, archivists, and historians who have kept the soul of the culture alive.
    Rewind the clock. The year is 1985. Pete Nice embarks on his journey as a solo MC - leading to establishing the first Hip Hop radio show with DJ Clark Kent in 1987, becoming a founding member of 3rd Bass, and opening the doors of Hoppoh Recordings in 1992.
    Now you can catch Pete collaborating with lucrative artists to preserve the artifacts of Hip Hop. Keep your eyes peeled for his "The Golden Age of Hip Hop 1983-1992: An Illustrative History,” coming soon in collaboration with Paradise Gray.
    #DidYouKnow the Prime Minister signed and managed KMD, which featured none other than King Geedorah? #RIPMFDOOM

      You ain’t kiddin’ either. His first verse (and second) in “Words of Wizdom” is unreal. His use of metaphors paints pictures, only rivaled by Rakim (the king himself).
      Prime Minister Pete is Nice.

    Pete Nice is one of my childhood HipHop Heroes, a true artist. If you want to know why 3rd Bass really broke up, watch the interview with DJ Daddy Rich (hint: Serch’s Wife getting involved in group business).

    Pete seems like a real cool dude. Hope he does a few more verses before he gets too old. He missed his chance to be on a DOOM track, Czarface is still active, that would be a cool collaboration.

      @@3rdmin1st3r they said they are not the Beastie Boys without MCA but would be cool if Ad Rock and Mike D did a song with Pete Nice. That would be classic.

    I find it ironic that Pete Nice is part of a hip hop history collection that is done with Paradise Gray of X-Clan.

    • @dumbledee
      @dumbledee 8 месяцев назад

      Why is that ironic? They were both signed to Def Jam and probably Rush Management in a time when the world of signed Hip Hop acts was extremely small and most artists had at least met a few times.

    • @pervertedalchemist9944
      @pervertedalchemist9944 8 месяцев назад +3

      @dumbledee X-Clan wasn't signed to Def Jam - they were signed to Island Records. The reason it is ironic is 3rd Bass and X-Clan were involved in beef. You are aware 3rd Bass went at them twice on their second album, right? Check out the songs "No Master Plan, No Master Race" and "3 Strikes 5000".

      @@pervertedalchemist9944 I forgot about the disses, I haven’t listened to either group in years, I swore X Clan was on Def Jam tho 😅 both guys would be in their 50s by now, a silly rap beef would be long forgotten

    • @jayshiggs
      @jayshiggs 8 месяцев назад +6

      Paradise was Pete's first manager which predates the 3rd Bass/X-Clan beef.

      Maybe it’s like what DJ Daddy Rich says: people liked Pete, they didn’t care for Serch. He tells a story of how the BooYah Tribe would kick it with Pete but not Serch
