Finally back after 6 weeks away. Had total knee replacement on Dec 15th. The pain after surgery had my total attention and nothing could hold my attention for more than a few minutes at a time. So glad to be back.
Becky thank you so much for my luminaire is in the repair shop so as soon as I get it back going try doing this as my hands and eyes are not very good your techniques keep me sewing as I love embroidery so much
I've been to A Quilting Stitchuation quilt shop on more than one occassion and it is great! I first discovered them when they were in Ruidoso, NM. Where they are located now is not that far from Ruidoso, NM. They have a beautiful retreat center (I've seen it but not attended a function) When I go to visit my youngest son in Alamogordo, NM, I stop at this shop just to see what they have. I've also used their online shopping. Very fast delivery.
I will be doing my embroidery on a Pfaff Creative Icon. After I scan into the SNC and cut the pieces out, I'll then take the image into my Brother free software, then send to the free Brother program, then over to my computer to SA2. I'll do all the voo doo, save to a USB and take it to my machine. Am I on the right page. Of course I'll do all the appropriate saving along the way.
You can upload the scan from the SNC to the free brother canvas. that’s where you will clean up your scan. And then send the design back down to your software into Embrilliance.
Hi Becky, correct me if I'm wrong, but to get rid of the stitching underneath the eggs, you could go into Essentials then you can knock out the stitching under the eggs. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but, I will be embroidering on my Pfaff Creative Icon 1. I will be using a SNC 125. I'll save to the cloud then to my computer and bring it up in SA1, do my voo doo, save to a USB on my computer or I can save to the cloud and download from the cloud into my Pfaff. I think I've got it. I just need to get a scanning mat. SMP here I come. I'm ordering the 125 from SMP and will get all the various mats from them. I thought I had a 325 secured, but the person in EBAY took my $. I turned him in and Ebay will make him give me my $ back.
if u have a laser bom u can use the hnb paper backing to use to scan into snc. i put a blk piece of cardstk down on scan mat so snc can see white paper
I purchased Simply Appliqué back about 4 years ago when you were using that program to do the Scan N Cut to appliqué method. Now you seem to be using Essentials Stitch Artist 2. Any reason why you switched over?
She actually emailed me to let me know that her building has power again. Yes she is in Townsville. Thank you so much for sending your message. I just love this community.
I've been looking for the video " lori holts vintage strawberry" which I thought was using the Power Tools method. ( Lady in the chat promoted it. ) But when I type that, all I get is lori"s version. Do you have a video with your method and how can I get it?? I'm looking for a video that covers the whole process at one time. I've saved several but you tube keeps deleting them from my list. I'm going to start my first quilt "Applique the Power Tools Way" so I wanted the step by Step directions. I have all the tools and materials so I'm ready to go. Thanks much!
Hi I would like to make a quilt pattern but blanket style. What do you think I should use instead of batting? Or would the front and back be enough to be a blanket? Strange question I know. thanks
A quilt has three pieces: the top, the batting, and the backing. A blanket only has one piece. So you could use a piece of fleece and make a blanket out of it.
Yes, in order to import a design into the Altair you will need to use the app on your phone to take a picture of of it and import it to the machine. You might look for videos with the Brother Stellaire and that will give you some good tips on how to use it. They are cousins.
I watched the strawberry video. I am getting better at creating the appliqué, but am hit and miss with the hidden stitches. I have gone over step by step with the video (my own shapes) still have places it stitches behind
Becky, has the retreat for the end of Sept. been set? I'm in Pa and we would love to join you at this retreat. I want to make my reservation as soon as possible, not to lose out. I'll need the name and location for the campground. I've been watching you for years now. Also, what will we be doing at the retreat? What machines do we need to bring? (Not my Luminaire, please )
Hi Postcrafts, I'm Linda D. To the best of my knowledge, please anyone correct me if I'm wrong, the retreat resort contract hasn't been finalized yet, so she hasn't released name of RV resort. She did say to save the dates of Sept 19 - 23, 2024. I'm hoping to get a cabin so I can go. I did just watch the replay of Situation Room 1/26/2024 and she didn't mention it, so hopefully they are still working on contract. Hope you have a happy sewing day!
I absolutely love coming into the Stitchuation Room. Your honesty and integrity is just so refreshing to me, even as a newbie 🥰
I’m doing my 1 hour walk listening in! Oroville, CA
Listened to last half of the live but was chopping veggies for crockpot soup. So am watching the replay from the beginning. From rainy Idaho.

I had my total knee replacement on Tuesday 23/1 so no sewing for me
Hope you have a full recovery. It does take time, so give yourself some grace.
Catching replay while working at a horse show in Perry, GA
Watched the replay - great lesson on the hand stitching process!
Catching the replay!

I recently wrote Art to Heart too… they said they didn’t have digital files for their pattern pieces, and that I was free to scan and cut them
remove hidden stitches is in embrillance

remove hidden stitches is a preference setting
@@jackiekraemer596 Are you talking about a preference setting in Essentials or in SA2?
The only thing I can't do is save my information in the SNC 125 to a USB is because my SNC doesn't have a USB.

I used up my licenses for Simply Applique. Also, occasionally I wasn't getting a complete final blanket stitch which drove me crazy.
Praying for Dianne if she lives in Townsville she probably has no power for a week I heard on news in Brisbane Queensland

Hi. I have the Altair. Do I use my phone to take a picture . I dont think I can scan like the Luminierre.

How do you embroidery the handwriting if u don’t have a luminaire. I have stitch artist 2 and a scan and cut
I would choose a similar BX font in Embrilliance.
Go Texas!!!
I thought you could do this in Simply Applique also (?). I have Embrilliance Essentials and Simply Applique.
Yes, you can do this in simply appliqué. I just switched over to new software is all.
Can I use a Viking embroidery machine instead of a brother machine
Yes, you absolutely can! You can use the scan and cut with any home embroidery machine. Not just a Brother.
$11.99 ea book on amazon
Can you scan the wording and then convert it to a stitch file with Embriliance. I have SA2
Unfortunately, no. Embrilliance will not do this.
Does Embird software have this capability?
Hi new here, from Alabama

I want to find this video to watch. Could you please tell me what you put in the search box? Thanks
