I looked this concert just because I'm a fan of Lars Hollmer (and his bands Zaamla Mamas Manna, von Zamla and all his Progrock-Bands he played in including and especially 'Accordion Tribe') and of Morgan and Mats too ... and then I discovered Fredrik and you ... Mattias you should've been on the record! It's like you guys are forged from the same metal, no pun intended. Please make a promise to be on SDFII if there ever is one! ❤️

@@Leatherfacet he's still a "guy", is he not? there is nothing wrong nor demeaning about the way i wrote it. if you have a problem with english it ain't my problem
Any expression pedal will work because the effect is being done in the line 6 unit behind him I think. It's just a delay effect where it jumps between a short delay time (set at the heel of the expression) and a slightly higher time at the toe. You really just need to feel out the settings to get the right warble.
It controls the delay parameters. I've been trying to nail this for years. Only 1 guy has and he has a video of it on Instagram. He achieved it perfectly.

Wow this was on the melloboat performance!
what was the date? What songs did they play?
I'm totally jealous ... Fredrik is bad ass live.
The Swedes do what they want. And we are here for it.
i wish fredrik would release more solo material, or just make more meshuggah albums. i just want more music from this guy, it's all so amazing.

whats that pedal Fredrik stepping on?? anyone knows?
the main pedal is Digitech ricochet and then he uses an expression pedal to adjust the timing on it giving it that tremoly sound
thats what people say, i myself only use the expression pedal to modify the delay timing and it sounds exactly like it

Does anybody know what's that pitch pedal he's using right at the begining of the video? 0:15 0:25
I think that's an exp pedal connected to Vetta II (maybe controlling delay time as he usually do)
It's a behringer midi controller controlling the delay parameters
