This is making me miss going ghost hunting in Ct. I was blessed enough to meet you and Mrs. Warren when I was 10 back in 2007. I remember trying to act brave when Mrs. Warren asked if I was afraid, she knew I was 😂 She made sure I sat next to her when she showed footage from past cases, so I wouldn’t be as nervous. My mom brought me to her beautiful home for the tour and dinner. It was amazing, I was going through a lot then but that evening really changed my life for the better. That was a very interesting tour of Fairfield Hills Hospital, though my mind's eye remembers it when I was a patient back in 1982. Back then, one of the buildings was devoted solely to alcohol rehabilitation. We did, however, eat in the cafeteria with the psych patients. I think our building was probably torn down, but your brief tour brought back strange memories for me. God Bless, Tony.

There are many tunnels under those buildings that connect to each other and go for miles, it's a very strange place. I've been there several times, my wife used to work down the street in Sandy Hook so I'd take a ride through there sometimes when I'd go out that way to visit her at work. I would feel a very heavy ominous energy whenever I was in that area, a lot of sadness and pain in the atmosphere around that place. There was also a movie called "Sleepers" which was filmed there. It's terrible what the people who were in there had to go through, I hope that their souls may find peace.
I was a patient there for about 3 years (1972 - 1975). I went in at 14 years old. Why? Because I took a neighbor's car out for a joy ride while they were away. My parents and a psychologist requested a 30 day eval. So I saw one of the foreign doctors. He placed me on Shelton 1-A when it was the intake ward. I ended up locked on a ward for the next three years. Code 99's, patient abuse, suicides, I saw it all. Man I could tell you stories. The worst three years of my life.

Tony, am an exresident of Newtown and get back once in a while. Have toured Fairfield Hills while visiting with a friend and former neighbor who is proud of the improvements that the town has made. Now houses town offices, library and senior center. Has become a destination for town activities. It was in a sad state and I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the buildings were haunted. My friend volunteers at the library and hasn’t mentioned any activity. One of the nicest pieces of real estate in town. Glad it is experiencing a revival.

I grew up in New Fairfield, CT (not far from Newtown) in the 70's & 80's... Fairfield Hills was legendary. I remember my Mom used to tell my sister and I when we were naughty that she was going to send us away there in a cage if we didn't stop misbehaving. That was traumatic enough....

Also I have a story: my husband and I have a spirit or ghost that we call the teleportation demon affectionately. A lot of stuff we own disappears and will reappear after a while. One night we were both in our room playing video games. He was at the desk and I was playing my game lounging in bed. Anyway my niece had just recently passed away after being hit by a car 4 hours after her 19th birthday. We were staying with my folks, and my mom had been asking for a spool of white thread. She needed to fix a button on my dad's dress shirt he wore to the funeral. I had borrowed the thread for a project and forgotten to return it to her months prior. I had misplaced it and didn't think I would find it. Well like I said before, we were in our room gaming, when suddenly the spool of white thread appeared on the edge of the desk. It wasn't there when my husband had sat down to enjoy his game, and neither of us had moved or left the room when suddenly I looked and there it was. I think maybe it was my niece but I am aware it could be something else using my niece's passing as a mask.

Anyway my niece had just recently passed away after being hit by a car 4 hours after her 19th birthday. We were staying with my folks, and my mom had been asking for a spool of white thread. She needed to fix a button on my dad's dress shirt he wore to the funeral. I had borrowed the thread for a project and forgotten to return it to her months prior. I had misplaced it and didn't think I would find it. Well like I said before, we were in our room gaming, when suddenly the spool of white thread appeared on the edge of the desk. It wasn't there when my husband had sat down to enjoy his game, and neither of us had moved or left the room when suddenly I looked and there it was. I think maybe it was my niece but I am aware it could be something else using my niece's passing as a mask.
