We have got many treatments available for the treatment of scars and there is a rebound interest in this because people who have had scars in childhood like post accident scars or surgical scars which can occur on the face or body can be a concern because you now you can improve the texture. Those treatments were not available when you were younger but that being said, if you have an old scar, it is more difficult to treat than new scar because when scar remodeling is happening, and it is very new fresh scars, you will get much better improvement with laser treatments than when it is an old scar. However even with an old scar we can make it to fade significantly with the use fractional laser and with the use of PRP. If you want to get more advise of scar is amenable for treatment, or whether you need a surgical treatment of scar, or whether you need surgical treatment for scar, or if it is too big to be treated by laser, do meet your dermatologist.
