I've spent so much money and time with experimenting with makeup and how to cover it. I get depressed over it. I plan on scar extraction surgery. Ive been insecure about my scar for 13 years. @@Sorter_123 Sure, I will. I can't say what exact aesthetics appeal to me, and I know it's probably not common, but I think scars generally add tremendous character to a person's face like nothing else does, and I just thought it was worth mentioning because nobody ever says it. I really do mean it personally when I say it's attractive, in men because they look tough, and in women because they look mature, refined, even sophisticated in contrast to their frailty. It's beautiful. The woman in this vid looks great either way, but if I had to pick one I'd rather see, I would seriously pick the scar, even though it's minimal. It just adds more interesting detail.

I was bit by a dog in the face when entering my friend's house about two weeks ago (I wasn't messing with the dog, it's a Great Dane so I didn't even have to stoop down near him for it to happen). Luckily I wasn't structurally deformed by the attack, but there are two large scars forming on my face now. They told me that they couldn't sew it up as tightly as normal because of the risk of infection because it is an animal bite. Needless to say, I'm not digging it at all. I'm actually getting ready to go buy some silicone sheets right now and that's why I'm watching.Thank you for posting your story and information. Face scars suck.
EDIT: I would also recommend that you look into silicone scar sheets. Everything I've seen so far claims that they work better, and a former plastic surgeon assistant working at the hospital referenced them for me. It takes quite a long time for a scar to completely heal, so it may be an idea if you aren't happy with the gel and don't feel like paying for plastic surgery just yet. Honestly though, you're beautiful with or without that scar.

My very good remedy is to wash the area just after it injures with water and then disinfect it and apply a mix of honey and olive oil and then bandage it for almost 48 hours ( you may repeat this again for 3 days to two weeks depends on the depth and size of cut) but I promise there will be no scar at all

Back in November, 2018, I also had a work-related injury. A metal scalfolding bar fell and struck me in between my forehead and my scalp. The blood was literally squirting out of my head. It looked like a murder scene. Luckily, it didn't penetrate my skull. The wound was so deep they had to cotterize the wound because it would not stop bleeding when they were putting the stitches in. I had to get internal stitches and external. 13 in all. I also let it heal on its own, but now I have this crease in my head that measures about 2 inches, and it is annoying to see. There are no stitch marks, because the doctor that stitched it had 20 years experience and did a good job. It isn't even pink or red, compared to the rest of my skin color. It just looks like a permanent wrinkle. I guess I got lucky. Could have been worse. I know how annoying it can be when you want to look a certain way. With your makeup, I didn't even see it until you rubbed it off. Lucky for you it didn't cut your eyeball. Someone was looking out for you that day, because it came close to eye.

Get peroxide to clean the cut and put the cream directly on the cut and place a bandaid on it, but if it's larger get a bigger bandage. It can be a pretty big cut and it still works. I hope you try this and see how many cuts can heal in 2 to 3 days after applying this ointment remember even genatric works just as good. Happy Healing.

I brought this one based on my doctor recommendation, it took 2-months for it to arrive. Longest I ever waited for product to get delivered, my scars at the bottom of my chin and I usually cover it by growing as much of beard. When I apply this it makes my dark beard go white, they recommend it twice in the day but I only do it on the evening it takes a bit effort of removing all the whites from beard. It also smells awful like you have to evacuate the entire room that's how strong it smell
    Update
Been using this product every night for little over two weeks now, I'm notice slight difference, the size of the scar has either gone smaller or flatten a bit. The redness is still there though, I'm really hoping that the dark red would fade a little bit.

@@sham-33 Thanks for asking, I want to say that they have improved, but when I stare in the mirror, I really don't see much difference the scar texture is still the same. It's quite raised still, it have not faded fully yet and it has been over 10 months since the last really aggressive microneedling treatment I did.
One improvement is the color of the scar, it was red/pink before now it's bit my skintone but lighter but it still stand out. I'm considering doing treatments like power peel and microneedling but I want to wait another few months. It might help the scar smooth it out a bit

However, the area is still slightly raised. Plinest body was a game changer for me personally. Also take vitamins and eat protein so that your body has resources to heal in its best way possible after the laser. All of your 'tips' are excellent, and very important, and I cannot thank you enough... I took notes! (I am soon to have the 'Mohs Surgery' for a basal cell carcinoma/ a type of skin cancer spot on my face...it is a small spot, but the location is horrible, just to the side of the Cupid's Bow...right under my right nostril , and just above my upper lip is the spot; so tears or a runny nose cause any liquid to go directly to the spot, which has had me obsess even more; about if crying will make the scar heal worse...I cry a lot, so it is a concern.. My surgery is scheduled to be in 3 weeks now, on 6/9, the same day my Mom passed away! I have put the surgery off for way too long, about 3.5 years.. the pandemic had a lot of the Surgeons' offices closed, (I was hoping the spot would just 'disappear' but bcc unfortunately does not go away w/out surgery. I get just SO emotional every time I think about the surgery and the healing process; and I tend to really obsess on it and have been in a deep depression for 3.5 yrs since the diagnosis.) I know deep down inside it has to be done, and I have to be strong, like you! I took it as a good sign that the date is that day, that my Mom will def be there w me in Spirit. Your Extremely Strong will and Positive Outlook is so inspiring and powerful to me, thank you again...much love to you:)))

Do you know if this helps old scars? I used to have severe anxiety :( and I would get these spots on my face. I would pick and pick at them. I now have scars across my forehead and my chin. They r terrible and they have ruined my self esteem. I don’t have quite enough funds to get actual laser surgery yet. So I am looking for an alternative for the time being. They look very similar to a chicken pox scar. Thanks for the video! You are beautiful btw. Glad to see your scar is healing well!

Amy Phoenix there are other brands one is called stratamed and it can be used on new and old scars. It’s amazing too. No smell at all. I’ve used it for a blemish removal.

If the skin is pitted I don't think so, but if the skin is raised then I do think it can help shrink old scars that way.

I personally used mederma after a minor surgery. Every single day morning and night for months. It has been several years already, you almost don't even notice my scar you have to be very close to see it on my face. If you wanted a recommendation I can say Mederma will definitely work.

You can also use Palmers fade cream. It also works very well, but you need to use sunscreen even if you will only be in the Sun for a little while. Because it has retinol if you use the Palmer's without sunscreen you will get severe sun damage. Many sun spots, darker skin, burn marks etc. Never use Palmers without the sunscreen!

@@jeanettereyes Hi Jeanette, that is great news for you congrats! I bet you have been busy. It has been over 12 months now and my scar was still very noticeable so 8 weeks ago I had scar revision surgery with a facial reconstruction plastic surgeon. It was very painful and he said it will take 18 months to heal but it has really worked and already is less noticeable so i am so glad I took the risk! How is yours? yours was fading so well. Thanks again for sharing your story, it really helped me to know there were other people going through the same thing. have a nice xmas :)
