Nice and simple. it would be ideal to also mention the lower 'knob' part of opening and closing a door and whether it needs to be replaced or left alone when installing a smart lock.
@LaNette2733 Most wi-fi smart locks also have Bluetooth connectivity within a 5-6 foot proximity. Even if the power goes out and kills your wi-fi, your phone can still connect directly to the lock.
Just wanted to add that potential buyers should make sure the specs specifically say it has Bluetooth if that's a feature they want since some locks, like the Schlage Encode featured in this video, don't have BT functionality or require an add-on.
You can still lock/unlock it with the keypad as long as the batteries are good. You won't be able to control the lock through an app while the wifi is off.

Which models do you recommend available at Lowes that have a Bluetooth using Wifi ?
so I saw that a key can still be used here. Are you just using the keys from your original lock, or does this lock come with its own set of keys
Great question! This featured smart lock will have 1 physical key in the package.
When you have it connected to wifi what would happen if your power goes out?

It looks like the lock still has a key slot so it must come with a key. In the event of a power outage or the batteries dying, you would use the key.
Would someone still be able to pick the lock through the keyhole or not with this kind of lock?
