The aneng v8 is probably my favorite Handheld multimeter of all time. especially when I’m working away from my lab, in the field, or at a clients facility. I don’t have to worry about taking my really expensive meters with me, or they might get a little scratched up and shaken around. I have an electronics repair lab and business. I do component level board repair for manufacturing equipment. But I specialize in test equipment repair/calibration…. And other metrology related tasks. So I have a lab full of professional and calibrated equipment. Much of which is NIST certified. I work fixing test equipment for all types of folks… So I i’m very familiar with test gear, and what makes a good/high quality tool. I love my HP/keysight and Tektronix test equipment… but I’ve been really impressed with A lot of the inexpensive equipment available today. It really is a golden age of electronics and test gear.… And although sometimes it’s not quite as high-end and reliable as the more expensive stuff… It’s getting really really close… And I’m always stand by the availability of good cheap test equipment.
most welcome sir yes you are right that this advancement in innovations is leading the world to the great and unbelievable modernization as the known brands are much expensive and the new innovations are really competing these brands, new brands are much much cheaper and faster in processing with comparable accuracy but the reliability & quality is to be considered, and it can be compromised with price difference

i used it for around 1 year and it is awesome. sometimes it gives false frequency measurements while testing PWM signals with jitter frequencies or oscillation signals otherwise its results are good

i purchased last year, it was only 24 dollars at that time yes its price is slightly high than Uni-T, but if we compare a simple fluke 179 multimeter which i have that is around 60000/- Rupees (pakistani rupees)
really great question, i think it will not any valid signal for switching either smps is switching or not. NCV will sense the voltage in both cases. but i will check it and if i got some valuable result, i will reply
good multimeter but how can I remove the auto shut-off inside the meter because it really irritates me, it turns itself off even when I'm measuring and I have to constantly press the on/off button?
Nice review, nice multimeter. The screen look to be harder to see in a bright environment. A classic screen would be better. The screen brightness also decrease when the batteries have a low voltage, so we can't use NiMh batteries.

Yes, you are right. really you are amazing, you caught me LOL. but remember in electronics we have tolerance LOL. so 179+10 will be acceptable hahahahahahahaha LOL really i am sorry for that, because i have FLUKE 177, Fluke115, FLUKE 8050A so by mistake it was mentioned 177 while i was using in this video FLUKE179. please accept my best regards HT118A is fantastic multimeter. it have very useful features

yes dear if you check low quality capacitor that are commercially available in market. these meters never pass capacitance test at any meter due to their brand if we select a branded capacitor, it provides exactly what is mentioned on the the label. i checked 5600 uf. that gives acceptable readings
I have 3 flukes, 179,376 and 1507, but what annoys me the most about the 179 is having the automatic scale, too slow for my taste. Other than that (although very expensive) they are 5* Aneng Q1 looks good to me but I still don't like to waste a lot of time with buttons...I like simplicity. Greetings from Portugal

If you check the capacitor without discharging what happen. Will the meter burn.
if test a charged capacitor with some high voltage (above the battery voltage of the multimeter) it will cause to burn-out the meter permanently
