Hello. Is there a instruction on the external input usage? Does it have to be a externally supplied 24V? Or does the SCALA1 have an internal 24V signal? I don't see anything about this in the manual.
Is it possible to connect a frequency converter to a Grundfos pumping station? I need to regulate the outlet pressure. And you need a smooth start. Россия.
Hey there, it depends on which Grundfos pump you're referring to. If it's the SCALA1, then you cannot add a frequency converter. The SCALA2 has a built-in converter, so no need for an external one. Hope that helps! Let us know if you have further questions! -Ty
Scala-2 is experiencing a pump failure. Error 1 indicator is flashing. The pump runs for 2-3 seconds and repeats the same situation. What is a pump failure?
Hello! Based on your comment, it sounds like the expert settings could be on. To get out of that, press the "move cursor down" to the bottom pressure indicator light. Typically, when the lightning bolt symbol is on, it indicates there's an issue with the power. When that happens, we recommend checking the power supply and the pump nameplate. Reestablish the power supply within the prescribed voltage range. If you still continue to have issues after this, please contact our service department: gfos.ly/6056uYajs Thank you! -Ty
Hey there, make sure that you are not plugging the pump into a GFI receptacle. When power is converted from AC (plug) to DC for the ECM control there can be stray current, and it will pop the GFI every time. If this is not a GFI then verify you have not overloaded the circuit. Can the content in this playlist be separated out between Technical Content, Product content, and marketing content? It is hard to navigate when it is all together. The is not a way to search in the U.S. playlist that I can find.
Hi Kevin, thanks for your input, we are currently going to work on our playlist structure so your comment is timely :-) . I will reply to you on your Grundfos email, regards Jackie
The video says that the internal pressure should not exceed 145 psi. And is showing the Scala1. But I read that the maximum operating pressure of Scala1 is 116 psi and Scala2 is 145. Can you please confirm if 145 psi pertains to Scala1 or Scala2?
Hey there, I'm not seeing that spot in the video but would love the timestamp if you remember where it was. I can confirm the SCALA1 max system pressure is 116, and the SCALA2 is 145psi. You can find more details here: gfos.ly/6053VQzAJ Hope that helps! -Ty
Hey there! Yes you can, you can find documentation on setting the discharge pressure in the quick guides for the SCALA1 and 2 on this page here: gfos.ly/6051ZrV7N Hope that helps! -Ty
Great presentation!🎉 All the aspects are covered
Thank you! We are glad to hear that you like it :-)
Very nice presentation.. clearly mentioned all features, thank you.

All the Scala 2 fail, they are known to be a bad design and why all the bad reviews.
Yep rubbish pump, had ours replaced twice so far under warranty 💩
Since this week the fuse keeps jumping when I plug in the pump. What could be the cause? (I have tested several outlets.) Thank you.

Listen at about 9:29 mark.
Thanks for pointing that out. We'll get that addressed!
