Yo Pinkprint was such an era and defined my college era. On your knees, the crying game, feeling myself, pills n potions, truffle butter, all things go, want some more, only, ANACONDA?! The hits keep going 🔥 what a moment in time! 💕
The transformation aesthetic wise was so drastic for this era it was like we were seeing just how gorgeous this woman is for the first time. Almosy every single look in this era is her looking her best.
The critics were doubting her before this album's release calling her albums "too pop" and then Nicki showed that she can sing AND rap with The PinkPrint
I clicked so fast!! I really loved this era of Nicki because she did a whole rebrand not with just her music but with her appearance. It showed a vulnerable side of Nicki that really loved. 2014 was a really good for Nicki you just had to be there!! Her album was 100000/10!!
Her most well rounded album. She rapped at a high level, the melodies are her best of her career, none of the features missed, she showed versatility, and the visuals were dope.
I was obsessed with Nicki in 2014 and 2015, and this album was where she peaked for me. Admittedly I didn't listen to her much after this era, I think because my taste had changed by the time Queen came out.
Even though Pink Friday is near and dear to me because of the nostalgia I feel like The Pink Print is her best album musically it’s her most vulnerable album
I think nickis pinkprint Era was her most authentic Era. I'm not saying that Roman and the barbie aesthetic isn't authentic but I think she was really just being herself. Such an amazing Era if I remember correctly, people thought it would flop because safari wasn't writing on it
Ugh the pink print was what made me fall in love with Nicki. I was in middle school when it first dropped and I just remember every day after school coming home and playing the album from start to finish while clean my room and I remember putting a whole performance in my room to the pink print. You could not tell me I wasn’t Nicki Minaj during that time hahha ❤
The Pinkprint is one of my comfort album, how can a painful experience worded beautifully, I knew Nicki is a multi-faceted artist since she released young forever, Marilyn Monroe, autobiography etc. For me Pinkprint signify her being not afraid showing her vulnerability.
Pink print was absolutely amazing. Crying game, grand piano, pills n potions, even Anaconda were revolutionary and are absolutely iconic. There were so many parodies and memes about Nicki and they weren’t mean they were just jokes btw. One thing I hate so much about the media is how misunderstood Nicki is. She could say anything and ppl will try to say she’s shading them or tryna get her to fight with another celebrity. The “angry black women” stereotype gets put on her 24/7 and It’s annoying and ridiculous and sadly the same thing happens to a lot of women of color in general from Cardi to Lizzo to even Doja when Doja snaps at ppl on Twitter. The drama is annoying and needs to stop. Nicki is targeted the most tho and I now understand why her social media has been so messy. They wanna label her as crazy so why not act crazy instead of fighting it. She’s over it. Hope her next album will be amazing. Still love her.
The PinkPrint really is the Blue Print for every female rapper that have and will come after Nicki Minaj. My ONLY issue was the rollout. For those who didn't listen to every track on the album, they get the impression that she wasn't really going deep enough. I would've loved her more emotional songs as singles. All Things Go with a music video cause it really encapsulates her real life, Crying Game, Buy A heart (SOOO underrated , I adore that song) and for more aggressive rap, Want Some More and Shanghai.
It's also in this Era that she actually started voicing her thoughts out more. She started criticizing how things are done, etc. I think this Era was actually what brought on the hate train that followed 2 years later. Nicki showed just how big she was. I also think that for most Barbs this is when the click happened, Nicki wasn't just another female rapper anymore. Her vulnerability made her someone they were willing to go to war for. Of cause most of us had seen the vulnerability before in songs like the autobiography of Onika Miraj and the behind the scenes footages but this Era was definitely one for the books
The PinkPrint is her best era hands down. This album was actually very cohesive and didn’t feel messy at all. I also felt like she really showed different sides to her artistry as well.
20:32 and up until this day she devoured and left not even a stall in that place. I should be writing a better comment but it's one of the most iconic stage moments at awards ever!
Pink print is a work of art. The album is by far my personal favorite but also it’s the most beautifully put together. This was raw, mature and a rap classic album.
my favorite Nicki era & my favorite Nicki album. I’m still mad Feeling Myself wasn’t a single and that the video was Tidal exclusive. It would’ve went number one and had a billion views on RUclips 😩
Until very recently, I didn't listen to albums in full but now that I know the Pinkprint has a lot of songs like Pills N Potions, which I like quite a lot, I'll probably go give the album a full listen!
Even though I never grew up saying Nicki was my favorite, I gotta be honest there was one point where I was so bored so I just curiously scrolled through this album and I genuinely think that THIS album is Nicki's Magnum Opas and I wish we got more honest and genuine songs like this. Pinkprint is the Nicki I miss!
Girllll the ether is real bc I was JUST talking about this album. To be honest I wasn't shocked at the minimalist transformation, I was excited because I knew this era was gonna go in and be different and show the woman behind the pink wigs P.s. I think that any time a TOP female (who is on their 3rd album) has to "prove themselves", its clearly a bias or a threat in the industry
Great look back on the era! I remember I fell off a bit during this era, I can't remember exactly why, but I wasn't feeling it as much as I was her first two records. I was a huge stan since BMUS but this was a crossroads for me. I really liked that she got more emotional for pinkprint but I felt it wasn't as personal as some people make it out to be. I was craving a bit more. it was also kind of all over a place so I wish it was a bit shorter and had more consistency throughout the record.. I like Pink Friday more as a record overall...it's either second or third in her album ranking, if I were to listen and rank them now. She looked incredible though. I definitely prefer the aesthetics this era more than any other.
The Pinkprint is Nicki’s best era ever the bars, the vulnerability, the passion, the confidence it’s all there front and center. I remember it was basically the only thing I was listening to back in high school. Also I was obsessed with Only I swear I watched that video 100x a day!! What a classic record oh and I hope one day Nicki will drop a full on R&B record cause she can sing man🔥🔥🔥
I think it’s kinda an obstacle itself being consistently great at music, because it’s hard to wow people. If a fresh new rap girl made the pinkprint she would’ve gotten Grammys and called a genius. It hits everything. They highs and lows and self reflection after a breakup
This album got me through so f-ing much when it came out!!! And many years after...heartache and anger yet fun and in your face...I went back to this album and still do! Her best work to date. I love Queen, but if I had to choose...PINK PRINT all the way 💗
Only and truffle butter were the last two singles that I’ve really loved from nicki. I’d love to see her really come back, I know she’s got so much more for us in the future!
I was 11 when the pink print came out and I remember hearing pill and potions on RUclips and for some reason I didn’t like the song. It was nothing like her songs pound the alarm and starships which I had loved. I was at the end of my dance pop genre obsession at that time so I didn’t really appreciate what Nicki Minaj was doing in pills and potions. Throughout those months when the album came out I really loved grand piano. Looking back I had no real understanding of what the words meant but it felt so dear to my soul. Every word touched me like a story book. the Night is still young was more along my taste at the time and hearing Nicki song was so beautiful. I didn’t think to much of it as it was more of a party song, but now a days it’s more like a bitter sweet anthem. It speaks about living in the moment but also acknowledge that time flys by and things won’t always be the same. Today it’s a time capsule of who I was at the time and exploring life as new with everything like social media and technology. Something about 2014 and the pink print bring in an air of times past that were beautiful as well as confusing. It’s definitely a comfort album. Today these songs are in my playlist and stood the test of time. They feel as fresh as ever with every listen. That’s how I know an album is great. Pills and potions is now a song that touches me deep with the lyrical content now that I can understand it. It’s such a. Beautiful showcase of vulnerability and talent. (Yah that was long but this album means so much to me I had to share my experience with it. Naomi you did a wonderful job! Thank you for making this video!)
PinkPrint came out when I was in college, and I remember having it on repeat during my commutes. Want Some More literally made me feel like a bad b levitating. It's sad it doesn't receive more attention.
This album was really a turning point in Nicki’s career. The transparency, lyricism, versatility and pure heart is crazy. I had never related to any artist as much as I did to Nicki in this era. This album really saved my life, it’s a beautiful body of work
I still listen to all things go and cry. I can’t listen to the lying game because now it reminds me way too much of my parents. Anaconda have me confidence. I love this album and I do think it’s one of nickis best albums
The PinkPrint is undeniably the female rap Bible for the new generation of female rap. The boundaries Nicki broke and helped normalize not just in female rap but in the music industry as a whole proves why Nicki is and will always be the Queen of Rap & a staple in the music industry 💕👸🏽.
Wow this makes me want to search the album out.Story songs are my cat nip. I had stopped listening to the radio by this point and still use an iPod and CDs today so my music tends to skew pre-2010.I actually hear most new (to me)music through dance routines, song reactions and covers.
The PinkPrint is such a work of art because she really got vulnerable with her music.
I agree and it worked in her favor❤️
I loveeeeed her styling this era. Natural beauty works so well for her. Def her best era.
Okay yesss! Fashion/ styling wise this was my fave era too. The neutrals and the animal prints here and there were perfect
2017 era outstyled
Yo Pinkprint was such an era and defined my college era. On your knees, the crying game, feeling myself, pills n potions, truffle butter, all things go, want some more, only, ANACONDA?! The hits keep going 🔥 what a moment in time! 💕
What a moment for suuure
GOYK was unreal since Ariana Grande was featured and Katy Perry co-wrote it.
The transformation aesthetic wise was so drastic for this era it was like we were seeing just how gorgeous this woman is for the first time. Almosy every single look in this era is her looking her best.
Look after look
This is her best album in my opinion. "Crying Game" is absolutely heartbreaking
I love that song.
Nicky really is a very versatile artist. She can really show different versions of herself and still feeling authentic and herself❤️
She really went in on this album. I Remember every song still be playing the whole album to this day!
Yes I always love going back to this album
But like i said the glow about women in their late 20’s to mid 30’s just hit different. This my Favorite era of nicki from music to looks to drama lol
Right… I feel like I’m gonna be in top form at that age
This is the one era where I was all in with Nicki. The music, the styling, the feuds, everything was *chef kiss*.
The pink print was literally a masterpiece of every era she touched on thru the album. Pop rap trap rap melodic rap etc and this video was 🔥
Can we just talk about how Taylor, Nicki and Miley debuted at number 1 in the last year
So crazy to think about that miscommunicated moment now😂
I was obsessed with Nicki in 2014 and 2015, and this album was where she peaked for me. Admittedly I didn't listen to her much after this era, I think because my taste had changed by the time Queen came out.
I think the PinkPrint really showed she was here to stay, but I do wish Queen was held in higher regard as I think is a masterpiece as well
I definitely agree!
If queen had 10 songs I would say it's master piece
@@wabotlheramorokafr the filler songs is what pulled the album down for me if she just would’ve kept it short I would’ve loved it.
Queen should of been a lot more shorter. Had it been like 13 songs queen would of been a much stronger album
Queen is definitely a lyrical masterpiece by far. Her writing was on a next level.
Such an amazing Era
if I remember correctly, people thought it would flop because safari wasn't writing on it
Ugh the pink print was what made me fall in love with Nicki. I was in middle school when it first dropped and I just remember every day after school coming home and playing the album from start to finish while clean my room and I remember putting a whole performance in my room to the pink print. On Zanies and Fools Nicki said:
“That’s how god do
I’m in your top two
And I ain’t number two
Conquered rap then the pop too!”
She knows!
The Pinkprint is one of my comfort album, how can a painful experience worded beautifully, I knew Nicki is a multi-faceted artist since she released young forever, Marilyn Monroe, autobiography etc. For me Pinkprint signify her being not afraid showing her vulnerability.

This album has everything - ballads, bad bitch anthems, bars filled verses, party bangers EVERYTHING
What ballads are there?
@@jimbob2427 all things go, crying game, i lied, grand piano, pills n potions and bed of lies
The PinkPrint really is the Blue Print for every female rapper that have and will come after Nicki Minaj. My ONLY issue was the rollout. The Pinkprint is the definition of magnus opus, a huge win for Nicki and every fan
Can we just give our sis Naomi some praise for the consistent uploads!?! 🙌❤
Queen by far was her most lyrical album, but the Pink Print really tapped into emotions I believe we can all relate to.
SHE DESERVES A DAMN GRAMMY
As someone who was very into being a barb and stan twitter during The Pinkprint era at only 13 years old, I’m so excited to watch this
It's also in this Era that she actually started voicing her thoughts out more. She started criticizing how things are done, etc. I think this Era was actually what brought on the hate train that followed 2 years later. Nicki showed just how big she was.

I can’t believe this album is almost 10 years old Omg lol and everything she said she wanted to do she did and it came true she was right.
I saw her for the pink print tour and it was one of the best concerts I attended. Edmonton was the last show and the crowd was going INSANE.
🥹 i wasn’t her fan that time. man i wish i was 🥹 i live in alberta i would have go to her concert
The PinkPrint is her best era hands down. This album was actually very cohesive and didn’t feel messy at all. I also felt like she really showed different sides to her artistry as well.
It's cruel that Nicki still doesn't have a Grammy but it doesn't matter she'll go down in history as one of the most influential female rappers 🩷
Omg so happy you did this video. Pinkprint is 100% Nicki’s best album and I feel like it doesn’t get enough recognition as such
“Miley what’s good” was so iconic lol
I remember when this first dropped. It was a moment when I was in high school. You had to be there.
Riiight! Junior year was lit lol
My senior year, such a vibe that year!
I so can’t wait for nickis album to come
‘Only’ one of the best rap collabs of all time period
One of my favorite albums from Nicki ❤ Great breakdown!
Much appreciated!
this era was iconic
The Pinkprint is a masterpiece. This will forever be my favourite album of all time!
One of my favourite albums I remember it coming out I was 15 that’s what I listened to almost everyday x
This Era was Soooooo Iconic 🦄🦄
The RESPECT & LOVE I have for ONIKA is immeasurable. 💓💖
Omg finally I wish queen didn’t have a hate train that era would’ve carried
The singles rollout was a mess.
20:32 and up until this day she devoured and left not even a stall in that place.
I should be writing a better comment but it's one of the most iconic stage moments at awards ever!
Pinkprint is her best body of work! So personal and real.

took the words right out of my mouth!
Love your channel. Please do every Nicki era!
This rlly solidfied her as the queen of rap
The night is still young deserved top 10
That song always makes me a lil emotional I love it sm
Girllll the ether is real bc I was JUST talking about this album. To be honest I wasn't shocked at the minimalist transformation, I was excited because I knew this era was gonna go in and be different and show the woman behind the pink wigs

Nicki calling out Miley killed me I screamed when I saw it originally 😂
Omg yes I saw it too and was sooo confused at first till I realized it wasn’t scripted!!

I went to the Pinkprint tour back in summer 2015!
Shout out to Jesse Ware for ripping my heart out with those vocals. Jesus
Nicki and Iggy should have collaborated
i love it when u talk about nicki
The PinkPrint era was different, period.
I was obsessed with Nicki during this era❤
nah but fr anaconda not even being nominated for video of the year at the vma's was a literal ROBBERY...
Frrrr
hey naomi, we need a tinashe edition of this theme. my personal favs are nightride and SFY
Ooooh I love nightride!! Both would be so fun to do
At the end of the day Nicki has always kept it real and you have to respect that 👏🏽
pls keep doing these eras videos! its one of my favorite of ur series
I definitely will!
can you analyze The Fame / The Fame Monster era? i would love to hear your opinions and thoughts on this era. ily
I think it’s kinda an obstacle itself being consistently great at music, because it’s hard to wow people. If a fresh new rap girl made the pinkprint she would’ve gotten Grammys and called a genius. It hits everything. They highs and lows and self reflection after a breakup
I will die on the hill that The PinkPrint is Nicki's best album.
THANK YOU QUEEN FOR DOING THIS VIDEO I LOVE IT
Thank you for doing this! I also clicked so fast!!! Nicki’s magnum opus!

Months after 1989 released? The power of Taylor damn
One of my favorite eras from any artist of all time. So glad you covered this one!
I wish her unreleased song Autobiography was on here it would’ve went great with this album
I think Autobiography fits Pink Friday more than pinkprint
I was 11 when the pink print came out and I remember hearing pill and potions on RUclips and for some reason I didn’t like the song. (Yah that was long but this album means so much to me I had to share my experience with it. Naomi you did a wonderful job! Thank you for making this video!)
nicki minaj is the greatest famle rapper I'm so thankful that i know her since 2014
PinkPrint came out when I was in college, and I remember having it on repeat during my commutes. Want Some More literally made me feel like a bad b levitating. It's sad it doesn't receive more attention.
Exacly!!!! Want some more wanted me to beat a b*ch up to be honest 😂😂
the pink print is def my favourite album of hers
Yasssss Naomi you ate hunny you took me back to high school 💕pink print is one of my favs❤
This album was really a turning point in Nicki’s career. The transparency, lyricism, versatility and pure heart is crazy. I had never related to any artist as much as I did to Nicki in this era. This album really saved my life, it’s a beautiful body of work
I had actually forgotten all those great songs came exclusively out of that one album! her best one to date for sure!
I love this album 🤍
The way katty ate taylor up in that tweet💋
I still listen to all things go and cry. I can’t listen to the lying game because now it reminds me way too much of my parents. Anaconda have me confidence. I love this album and I do think it’s one of nickis best albums
My favorite album by her: vulnerable and beautiful but still kept a fun pop sound.
Can you do a video on the unapologetic era (Rihanna) I feel like it’s overlooked
Yesss I wanna do a Rihanna one
Pink print is my favorite Nicki album 😁😁
I still listen to her ALL HER ALBUM to dis date. LOVE HER. i’ll forever support NICKI MINAJ.

I had stopped listening to the radio by this point and still use an iPod and CDs today so my music tends to skew pre-2010.I actually hear most new (to me)music through dance routines, song reactions and covers.
The fact that some people thought Iggy would be a threat 😂😭
I enjoy your work, thank you for the press excerpts. Very well researched. Also also😂, anything about Nicki makes me happy!
Again,I’m here only for your eloquent narration Naomi 💋
this is so well explained and i can boldly say that the pinkprint is her best album to date
Justice for Get On Your Knees I wish Nicki and Ariana perform that song again ❤❤❤
