Yeah he deserves it because Mikey works hard to bring us quality entertainment and besides I always rewatch his Uranium and Insurgence videos as well as his glazed play through and I need to work on watching his Silver run so I got no shortage of Mikey to worry about. He deserves a break once in a while again because he works his tail off bringing us quality entertainment.

I have to say since you mentioned a semester, the videos with John really helped me get through my exam period and whenever I felt burnt out from hours of reading, I was watching your videos to relax. It really helped
You deserve a break Mikey, just don't be gone too long, you know how RUclips punishes content creators for doing so, especially if they don't make content on a daily or every other day basis like you. Everyone needs a break from time to time, it's just too bad RUclips doesn't have some sort of program to compensate when people need a break.
To be fair, from what I've seen from other content creators who've been absent for a long time, as well as ones that have a rare upload rate in the first place, taking breaks doesn't hurt you algorythm wise as much as people think. More likely than not, subscribers will be even more eager to click the new vid after months because they missed the creator they liked, which in return makes the new vid pop off again. In some cases even more than the last couple videos before the break. So yeah, don't think Mikey has to be too worried about the algorythm, it more than anything plays in his favour. Since him having more fun with and faith in his newer videos more likely than not reflects in the quality of it and thus makes more people wanna watch it (which is not to say his current videos are bad of course, but it's definitely more fun if he has more fun making them too)

Might hurt if you are subbed, certainly so if you're not subbed but still watch him occasionally. I also don't know 100% how it affects income for youtubers, ads, and sponsors. gotta say, i think the fact that youve been consistently uploading videos for like 8 and a half years is really impressive. i know that there are gonna be people who say that they need content but honestly, i think that this break is extremely well earned. 8 and a half years of mostly unique ideas is insane. and also being able to set standards and reach those standards every time you upload is impressive. i know you probably wont see this but i just wanted to put my 2 cents in.
I can totally understand and even relate to what you're feeling. It's going to be weird not see a video post from you for a while, but I can already imagine the thrill once you post your first video back later on. Everyone deserves a long break! I fully empathize with the burnout. I've definitely been feeling similarly as stuff I usually love doing just takes time and eventually I just stop enjoying it as much. So take as much time as you need. Listening to Mikey's reason for the break, really made me think that he needs script writers and ideas people. I think we as his watchers should recommend ideas on his patreon
I do have a few ideas I wouldn't mind seeing from him (obviously once he's past the burnout and ready to make said ideas happen). Mikey vs. Grunty Boi rap battle. Pokémon Talk: the movie. Old Pokémon Talk episodes with Bulbasaur and Squirtle providing hilarious commentary. Hell, maybe he could have various Pokémon Talk characters guest-star in various other videos. Can you imagine Dr. Dedenne helping with a trailer analysis? Or Grunty Boi barging in on an ASPITPIAY filming to do the sponsor segment, only to find out it's being hosted by Zubatman who mistakes Grunty Boi for an actual villain? Or no, no, wait, I got one better- Umbreon mistaking Grunty Boi for a floor tentacle!

Your content has been helping me through my own mental health challenges for almost 4 years now, and as a student in grade school I can totally attest to similar struggles with burnout after long stretches of work. The work that you once loved turns into a chore that you find yourself avoiding. Recognizing burnout before it tarnishes the most brilliant parts of your life is a hard thing to do, and I am proud of you for stepping down from the hamster wheel to take a breather. gotta say, i think the fact that youve been consistently uploading videos for like 8 and a half years is really impressive. i know that there are gonna be people who say that they need content but honestly, i think that this break is extremely well earned. 8 and a half years of mostly unique ideas is insane. and also being able to set standards and reach those standards every time you upload is impressive. i know you probably wont see this but i just wanted to put my 2 cents in.
I can totally understand and even relate to what you're feeling. It's going to be weird not see a video post from you for a while, but I can already imagine the thrill once you post your first video back later on. You deserve this break, and we'll be here cheering you on!

I've definitely been feeling similarly as stuff I usually love doing just takes time and eventually I just stop enjoying it as much. So take as much time as you need. I do have a few ideas I wouldn't mind seeing from him (obviously once he's past the burnout and ready to make said ideas happen). Mikey vs. Grunty Boi rap battle. Pokémon Talk: the movie. Old Pokémon Talk episodes with Bulbasaur and Squirtle providing hilarious commentary. Hell, maybe he could have various Pokémon Talk characters guest-star in various other videos. Can you imagine Dr. Dedenne helping with a trailer analysis? Or Grunty Boi barging in on an ASPITPIAY filming to do the sponsor segment, only to find out it's being hosted by Zubatman who mistakes Grunty Boi for an actual villain? Or no, no, wait, I got one better- Umbreon mistaking Grunty Boi for a floor tentacle!

Hey Mikey! It looks like everyone else has already said so, but please take as much time as you need and make sure it's relaxing and enjoyable. I'm on a sabbatical from work myself, and I wish I realized how much I needed it sooner than I did. Everyone needs a break once and a while, and I think it's especially important when you're a creative type that NEEDS that passion to be at your best.
Also, can I just say: we the fans would be totally accepting if you just briefly mentioned that you needed some time off at the end of a video: the fact that you devoted so much time to thoroughly explain things really demonstrates your devotion to your fans. We appreciate you so much!

The work that you once loved turns into a chore that you find yourself avoiding.
