I actually live in Denmark now (I’m Greek) - and I will just add, all Greeks I know in Denmark - myself included (and all Italians I know) we all love Denmark and Scandinavia too !
As a Greek my country always comes first for me. Greeks have aways an open hug for everyone without snobbing. Maybe we are poorer, more suffering people because of our history and economy and size, so we are very simple and humble. You will find smile and a hug in Greece. 🇬🇷💙🇬🇷
Both countries are old, beautiful landscapes and with a lot of Mediterranean crazyness and old traditions. Both countries share the Greco-Roman culture. You visit Sicily and Southern Italy you see some Greece you visit the Ionian and Dodecanese islands you see some Italy. Love fratello Iltalia from Greece
I went to Italy last summer and actually got emotional listening to this because I had an absolutely a wonderful time… Although I do look forward to visiting Greece in the upcoming years!
I've been to both and choosing a better is like choosing between two of your children. Both are beautiful, culturally, architecturally, naturally and the people. I would learn towards Italy for the Renaissance art and food.
For the ‘natural beauty’ section, I’m surprised that you didn’t mention Greece’s Mount Olympus! Take one look at its majestic peak, and you’ll instantly realize why the Grecians considered it the home of the gods!
As Greek i am 100% sure to say both. They are totally complementary travel destination countries with totally common travel destination similarities (similar brain waves, genetics, and personality traits)
I'm italian and I really recommend to see both. South Italy is also very similar to Greece, we share part the same history. In both countries the food is amazing, people is friendly and the places are beautiful. Maybe Greece is cheaper.

I went to Milan last year and had an enjoyable time, but Rome was amazing. I visited in May and started missing it as soon as I left. I'm going to Florence and Bologna later this year.
I wish and hope to one day go to Greece. I have always been fascinated with all the Greek myths and legends. Hercules (who's real Greek name is Heracles), the stories of Zeus and the titans, and all the cool mythical creatures. The centaurs, Pegasus, the Hydra, and Medusa. Plus, there's the ancient stories of the lost city of Atlantis. It sure would be cool to discover it.

Just returned from both countries. Greek food is wonderful but Italian is more varied and different in each region. Italy is easier to get around and has more identifiable historical sites.
Where did you travel in Greece. Because the food really varies from region to region in Greece too.
