Been watching hockey for over 20 years now and this was the greatest moment I ever witnessed. Johnny slayed the dragon Oettinger in game 7 OT with an incredible calculated shot. Absolutely ELECTRIC. No Flames fan will ever forget this moment. RIP Johnny. #13 will forever be a legend in Calgary.
The emotions that I felt at the game, the highs and the lows My daughter and I were in the nosebleed seats and when the goal was scored I was jumping up and down as I held my daughter. First round frustrations of the Flames losing since 1994 all was forgotten with Gaudreau"s OT series winning goal.
This video will never not be extremely sad and heartbreaking now, especially the last image with Johnny and Sean embracing. RIP Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau.
Yea it was a beautiful goal. But from a stars fan pov, ottenger played maybe one of the best games in goalie history. In that overtime period he wasn’t letting anything by him with so many amazing saves while we had no offense Gg tho and we’ll see you this year!
Really sucks for Ottinger not just because of the amazing performance he had throughout the series, but also because in that moment, I think he knew Gaudreau was going to shoot that puck and tried to cover as much of the post as possible. Gaudreau just had a heck of a shot placement (and it had to be on the money with the goalie covering that much of the post) to beat Ottinger from that angle.
On the 63rd shot of the game Johnny hockey made history for the flames. Especially bringing on a fresh BOA. Glad my Oilers won the BOA, RIP JOHNNY & MATT
I wish I was there to see the Flames move on. I do feel bad for Oettenger because he had done his best to go up to the next round, but Johnny Gaudreau finished them off in OT 1 not even in a second overtime period. This single goal would be a lasting memory for the Flames and fans that witnessed the ending of the Flames 1st Round drought/Curse.
@@puckthief0158 No this aged poorly. Katchuk definitely made me eat my words. Guy can play hockey read that totally wrong. I really like the player he has become!
rest in peace, johnny hockey.
Rest in peace, Johnny Gaudreau. You will be missed.

How fitting that Gaudreau gets the game 7 winning goal in OT after being robbed blind the entire series by the Dallas net minder
It's truly fitting now knowing he has passed on from this beautiful earth

It’s not right, how the story ended. RIP Johnny
Ahh, what could have been...!
I may have missed something, but why was Lucic being booed whenever he touched the puck?
That's the crowd cheering "Looooooo"
It’s not boooooo it’s loooooch
Fair, just sounded like booooo to me lol.
Looooooooch. First Flames game?
@@thisistheshit1991 missed a few but no, just never heard Loooooch, like I said, it sounded like he was being booed.
now do the next series =)
Dallas goalie deserves Mvp tho
R.R.P easy. 4:12 4:19
Then he went to the Jackets to play on one of the worst teams. While Katchuk went to Florida where he will never make it out of the first round.
