for a start take the sunglasses off then. only ray charles can use shades. 99.9999 percent of performers dont unless they are hiding in the tube :) A bit of reverb and a bit of phaser and a bit of echo and some effects like that on the post processing, like remix your songs with subtle amounts of effects to psyfy it and for me it would sparkle it up. submotion orchestra is pretty mental for performance and effects.

When I think of Kraftwerk I not only appreciate their tremendous pioneer work in terms of electronic popular music (they indeed used the German term "Volksmusik" for their achievements), I also always perceived their compositions and musical arrangements as sort of filigree and almost fragile, cultivated in a special way, maintaining a certain reserved distance, allowing some soberness and occasional dissonances, but widely avoiding concrete rock music textures or mainstream's notorious carefree attitude. - The decisive point is that Kraftwerk, who finally and consequently went the electronic path, boldly and passionately tried to square the circle and they succeeded in preserving an artistic expressiveness which actually should have been completely alien to any integrated chip or circuit. But obviously man and machine were not incompatible, they rather cooperated effectively and both together found a (formerly unknown) technological way (which obviously was the mean and not the end) to make the soul swing. They showed that creating and realising music is an adventurous and diverse endeavour without insurmountable boundaries and that expressiveness has not only one genuinely natural dimension; so what is more obvious than to augment this quality with one of the most expressive musical instruments around, which may be even more appropriate than the human voice, to try another promising symbiosis? Let me tell you that I grew up in the very place and the very aura of where it all began. In the 1970s Düsseldorf was pretty experimental and in the 1980s it had become the creative hub of NDW (Neue deutsche Welle - the German new wave thing), occasionally being payed a visit by MTV Europe, and from this city (among some other places on planet earth) the paradigm of electronic pop music expanded and started to infatuate the masses. At that time I was a seeking (and unfortunately hardly finding) part of the Düsseldorf music scene, but only had rare contact with the Kraftwerk world, first, because they were much older than me, second, because I myself had quite another musical background and orientation (classical music, jazz rock, progressive rock - it was a hard struggle for artistic survival). But I was familiar with their works and acknowledged them almost unreservedly. - I do mention this, because I think that, with that said, I have a pretty authentic approach to the spirit of this music. There are many nice interpretations of "Das Model". (It's indeed the accurate spelling of the title, also of the German version; Hütter also pronounces it that way - which I for one am not really glad with.) There are also some individualistic ideas around, which I explicitly appreciate. This violin effort, however, is not going that far, it rather is essential in two ways: It preserves the song's very own magic, the uniqueness of Kraftwerk's artistic approach, its moving simplicity and the slim arrangement. On the other hand the leading violin voice adds some warmth and melos, a little flowing bliss to the phenomenon, so that my ears rejoice, my brain accepts and my soul indulges (reliably ensuing when I listen to a quality rendition - formative and serving the overall musical concept). Many thanks to the executing artists for another lovely Kraftwerk-related experience. (In another comment I read that you are Italian. I'm a huge admirer of Italy's rock progressivo movement in the 1970s. Great stuff, great achievements. And also a lot of appealing violin playing by PFM's Mauro Pagani, who was for some years music director of the Sanremo Festival. - Italy, land of infinite inspiration. I hope you all are well and on your way out of that pandemic darkness...)

If you can go, definitely worth it! 2014 was the one and only time I saw Kraftwerk live. It was a great show with 3D visuals. I hope they do another Toronto show. Previous show was in 2004.
