While a lawyer is knowledgeable on the law, they don't know the facts of the case, except for what they are told. The strength of the parent is the knowledge of the facts. And you need both in order to successfully navigate this world. I think parents are often in a better position to learn the law then the lawyers are to learn the facts.

How DO you know when to give up on a good (but not the BEST lawyer for you,) attorney and start over with a new one? I need an aggressive attorney who has experience with people who have mental health issues. And with a parent that has ZERO intentions of Co-Parenting ever, smear campaigns, extremely serious false allegations, Parental Alienation, destroying my relationship with my 2 young children, who at 8 and 11, have become pawns in a game of Russian roulette and they are the price at the end.

Dang that's me right now same ages as my kids. Sounds like a narcissist. I just left my lawyer because I realized their was a clash of personality and ideas in regards to how to handle my case. I am sorry you had to deal with this as well.

I am a grandma and I have shown the court they are in very danger and had good witnesses and I showed concerns and. Good communication and had her over a year still have another court date. Removed one baby immediately in foster care and temporarily left the other for now but I get visitation. For now. She said there was a lot going on. There for almost 4 hours

@Ammie Nelson, we're so sorry, this sounds exhausting. Asserting Grandparent Rights is a long haul and very exhausting! We're glad you've been able to persevere for the sake of your grandkids. Prayers for you!
