There was 1 match I missed having the field spell and it was for the rescue ace matchup just because almost all their interactions interact with my monsters by targeting but, other than that matchup, it didn't really come up. Most decks nowadays have some way to interact with back row or just get around targeting. Ryzeol just continuously pops. Maliss non targeting banishes. Fiendsmith send to gy and follow up with making an Omni negate. The field spell can be good if you go first but it's mainly to guarantee your exnoir gets to at least 5 material and you get a draw 2-4.
@@abysmalYGO Thanks for your reply. Cutting it for consistency reasons seemst to be the way. Also, it avoids the conflict with the Mimighoul field spell.
Part of the reason it was played originally was to be paired with set rotation as a way to turn off imperm if you draw it. Set rotation was cut to add a bit more non-engine, and street was both the next best card to cut and wasn’t really coming up unless you draw an all-Purrely hand
@@donovans8904 yes to both of these reasons. I like the card but I would in general want the mimighoul field spell in that zone and it really was just the next best card after trimming out bricks.
@@donovans8904 yes valid point but that's assuming you don't get interrupted which is rarely going to happen... Imo on its own, maker is still a better starter and extender than most cards in the deck so it doesn't make sense to only play 2 makers when you can play 3, drawing 2 is bad yes but the deck count is quite high that you don't run to that scenario quite often
I noticed, you dropped the Purrely field spell. Did you miss it at any time?

Why do you play only 2 mimighoul maker if u say its a one card combo?
You eventually run out of names to summon off it.
@Aphian_ yes but isn't it a good card to open as a starter or extender?
You have so many ways to find maker.
I would play 3, too. You csn detach the 3rd with purrelyquickspell if you need
