Not really. You still use the room to book of moon a monster of theirs so that they are normal summon locked and you can still go for the extra deck and purrely plays. Epurrely happiness and Zeus can carry you a lot more than you realize. We also still have the silhouhatte rabbit play and s:p as well. You do lose out on being able to give your opponent mimighoul cards but, that is rarely the reason you would lose.

So, It's hard to say for certain but I'm currently leaning towards the 60 card list as of right now mainly because the follow up is better, it is easier to pivot to a specific engine and I have a reduced chance to see the bricks or opening multiple normal summons. The more important aspect in my opinion is being able to keep the ratio. If nothing else, I really liked the ratio of what I played which was basically 1:1:1 for purrely: mimighoul: non engine. Some on my non engine that I was playing in my 40 card list was actually not that great into the current format so it might also be misrepresented currently. The benefit of the lower count list is that you have a better chance to see the hand traps you specifically want for the matchup. If you do that, the biggest advantage is that you will most likely see the specific hand trap you want like shifter more often in your opening hand which is like an automatic win vs a lot of meta decks so if you take that into account, the lower count deck is probably more meta capable but is also more likely to open a brick as well. I opened shifter about 4 times out of those 9 matches. If I played the lower count list. This could have probably upped the number of times I saw the card to around 6.

You are fine to send cards to the gy as part of an effect. They just get banished instead. The issue is if the cost is to be sent to the gy, you cannot do that because you are not able to fulfill the cost requirement to activate the effect.

Cerebrus basically comes in place of playing slime in a pure list. One maker activation can easily go through majority of the mimighoul names in this list compared to a pure list. I still want to get an extra body but, I don't want it to come out from my deck as I'm trying to save names for mimighoul rooms activation

@@abysmalYGO imo their versatility as extenders far exceed the extra body cerberus could give, but its true that you ran out of names fast

Both are really good. Spright is slightly better at playing through hand traps and can go into either engine. It is also better at extending especially if you open angler for your discard but, I would say that the mimighoul variation has an advantage in getting to the mimighoul engine easier and also, you can play shifter in this variation which is an immediate blowout against every meta deck in the format. Also, you don't have to really worry about the rank 2 locking you while you are trying to break through a board.

The 60 card pile list is definitely a wild deck. I'd definitely love to show it. I am just holding back on it for now because I wanted to show what the more competitive version of the deck would look like first but, 60 card piles can be so fun 😊.

Only reason I could is because I this is the only deck I play. Also, rabbit just seems like a really good generic staple. Also helps that I bought it when it was slightly cheaper at like $75.

Going second, I basically switch out the diviner package and the Eva package for sphere mode and ultimate slayer. It's usually decent at dealing with the board especially if you are also able to pair it with some soft hand traps.

I'll be making a video once I get the cards for how to play it but in general, I would recommend just one copy of master now, 1-2 slime to replace cerebrus and also because it's flip effect is really decent after testing, 0-1 copy of fairy based off if you want to trigger it's flip effect, 2 copies of fork because it's decent discard fodder and then 1 copy of each of the rank 1's. Purrely sort of was already doing what the new level 1 support did for the deck which was summon additional level 1 bodies to work with for rank 1 plays. So, aside from slime whose flip effect is actually really good, you don't really need to play the other level 1's.

So there are budget alternatives to the cards mentioned. I only really like thrust because it can help search for my going first cards but, the deck can still be successful with just switching out thrust for additional copies of talents. I'm not sure if the extra deck would have space for the utopic package because that comes to 5 extra deck slots. You would end up having to give up something either in the Zeus package or the purrely package if you wanted to fit utopic in there. Instead of s:p, and rabbit, you could consider I:p or the unchained yama and soul of rage into knightmare unicorn when going first. lastly, though these are engine dependent, you could consider hieratic seals because of mimighoul dragon. Alternatively, you could consider sky striker -azalea to help with breaking boards.

So the purrely field spell, while it is a brick, helps out the purrely engine a lot. You get target protection, follow up if they destroy your XYZ monster and the additional quick play of your choice during the end phase. As it is right now, the deck has something like 20 starters to get into an engine so you will still usually see 1 to 2 pieces of engine in your hand for the most part, but yes if you don't want to play the field spell, it is possible, you would just end up having to switch the purrely monsters back to 3 purrelyly and 1 purrely.

So, when you banish yama to bring back soul of rage, in the same effect, you are allowed to pop a card on the board. That is how I get sharvara off the board. Sharvara 's fiend lock is only active while he is on the board. Since sharvara left the board, you are no longer fiend locked and you can search the trap. Since cerebrus is still on board and you are no longer fiend locked, you can go into silhouhatte rabbit with the soul of rage and cerebrus and then use the unchained trap to bring back soul of rage on the opponents turn

That is the attach effect of epurrely beauty. When you attach a quick play to epurrely beauty, you are able to change the battle position of an opponent's monster. This can be done up to 3 times a turn. Since face down attack position doesn't exist in yugioh, this will force the flip.

So while eldlitch doesn't need the normal summon, you want to mainly be playing eldlitch with traps. If you can support taking out 12 cards for mimighoul, it's possible but, you would probably want to focus more of the slots for the mimighoul trap. You might want to consider playing a copy of master as well for any zombie synergy they might have.

I've taken it to 4 locals now and it's so far been undefeated. I had one finals where it tied with the opponents but, other than that, it's performed nicely

@thejuiceygo From my games with the deck, I've played against a bunch of tempei, yubel, ritual beast, lab, floo, kashtira and some rogue.

So the reason for 3 purrelyly is because we aren't playing the field spell. The ability to get to yeap becomes that much more important for recursion. If your opponent interrupts you, it becomes harder to really get follow up for the purrely side. Playing the third purrelyly helps with that.

You could play 2-2 but, in my opinion, having 3 lyly is just better for the grind instead of just trying to get lucky and hit off of the purrely since there are less cards for purrely to actually hit. I usually play purrely to try to get to the field spell if I didn't open it but, since there is no field spell in this list, it's kinda redundant.

So, I am a person of the casual player base. I haven't actually participated in tournaments. This is just my deck lists from what I take to my locals which usually comes to 4 rounds of swiss. That being said though, I usually do face meta decks like tempei, snake-eyes, kashtira and the occasional lab so, the list can definitely compete against the meta threats since I've won with it. Yes the deck does have bricks but, because the deck size is also larger, the chances of opening dead hands are also less. I like to mess around with various packages because this allows the deck to play around different board states as well so, playing above 40 just works in my favor in some deck lists I build.

​@@andleepfarooqui7874Yes. This is popular reason for doing so. You get to rip from their ED. Don't forget to also include talents and thrust because these cards also become live.

​@@andleepfarooqui7874dragon by itself can't actually guarantee 2 dragons on your board unfortunately. It is a 50/50 chance with maker and if you end up making 13 or 31, they are in fact fiends

Also wondering if you can just go for a more pure build and play shifter because without the vernusylphs it does feel like you have a pretty stable play through shifter

It is true that it doesn't truly give decks more than what other engines provide but, being able to use them to turn on talents or thrust after your opponent has interrupted you feels so powerful. The engine just provides more than what is visibly understood about the archetype. There are a lot more implications about giving your opponent a monster that just makes this good.

Master isn't really needed. It is a search and you do get to flip a monster but, the important flip effect itself is a little slow. There's also the fact that it isn't a level 1 like all the other monsters that make it synergize even less. Even in pure builds, you end up playing Max 1-2 copies of the guy but he isn't really the best to start off with. Plus, we have so many other ways to flip the monster. Archfiend summon, number 13/31, epurrely beauty as well as maker effect in gy.

@@abysmalYGO yeah masters flip is mainly only good if you give opponent dragon with Mimighoul Room, otherwise they just flip it before summoning.

You can play it, but for this list, the mimighoul field spell is just better because it becomes a rota for your main summon for the deck as well as becomes a strong lock with the mimighoul trap which can keep you alive because your opponent won't be able to swing into your board. That being said though, if you want to play the purrely field spell, play it at 3 because that guarantees that sweet draw 4 from epurrely noir
