The MX5 is hard to beat around those roads. But I’m very impressed with the Mini as it stands now. I would like to improve it but it’s not mine so that’s not going to happen. Lol. I need to get the Mk2 dialed in. It’s going to take a lot of work.

That's the plan. Getting the old chassis up to speed is going to require a little effort but that's part of the fun and hopefully it makes me a better driver through the process.
I love driving on curvy backroads or as the Japanese call it Touge 😂. Those MX5's and you Mini are great for this style of driving

Things can go wrong very quickly if you don’t respect the drive. But so much fun. One of the best roads in the western cape for sure. 👌🏽
@@lowdl all you need do is go VERY early, keep between the mayo and mustard, be mindful of other road users and drive within your limits...
