This JD Dozier project is another example of your great attitude toward analyzing serious problems on-site no matter temperature, mud or wasps buzzing! Love your videos, yur work ethic & determination until repair success! Carry on Sir!👍👍👍🍺😊👨🔧
Hi Warren we had a good week baled hay Wednesday-Saturday. Time to recollect, relax, work on a few small projects and enjoy a WARREN FEATURE FILM!!!! THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU DO
Warren, I worked on a lot of mowers back in the 70s and 80s that used Sundstrand split system motor and pumps. Smaller pumps and motors but they work the same way. One way to tell if you have a leaking hydraulic motor is to put that side under a load and see how quickly the motor starts to heat up. If you are bypassing a lot of oil you will build heat very quickly. You can also use a slightly thicker hydraulic oil to make the system operate better and not rebuild the pumps/motor. A good 30 wt motor oil would work just as good and you would get more life out of the system after it is worn.
Good work warren 👍. You are the reson I become a diesel mechanic, thank you 🤝, I wach your videos evry day, I really enjoy them, thanks for teiking the Time to make them, i realy apresieite all the hard work you do and your videos 👍🤝. Keep wrenching 🔧🔩⚙️, working on heavy equipment, 🚜, trucks, pickup trucks. We need more good, honest, hard working man on this 🌍. Thank you, take care now 👍🤝🤠 cheers 🍻
Your knowledge and experience are second to none. You give me delight on how you annualize the problems and your process on the repairs. That is what a professional is and that is what you pay for, the best. Love the channel. Thank you. Greetings from Dublin Ireland
I'm sure I missed your explanation, but I thought you had someone lined up to help you. You're an inspiration to all, but I hate to see you wear yourself out. I just turned 74 the other day and I now what worn out means. Be careful my friend you deserve the best.
Good work , I used to do a lot of hydro's on commercial ztr mowers , hydro gear , I would get kit, swash plate , piston pump, ,ect , usually scratches you could see , bit if you changed fluid on time and filters they would last ..even the low end ones .. I had seperate wheel motors , from pumps, when they failed , I tore them down , never found a scratch even... Was strange , danfoss and hydro gear ...
Hi Warren, watching the right Track .. When you stand on the right track break pedal and take yer foot Off the pedal, the track seams to be slow to move.. I Think there is a leaking internal seal in the drive hub.. Stick with it ... Love the vids ... Andy UK ..
I get happy when I see a new video, and the brat pack pupster's are just part of the gang. I appreciate you making these video's Warren, because anything you can learn or improve on, I like, because dancing cat's can't teach me nothing either. Bless you and yours.
I would check for pump ,valve/ bearing plate schoring. I've seen a lot of servo piston scouring and just polish them up and run them. That's a lot of work to get to that point! Probably need to reseat the shaft seals before reassembly there a mechanical seal.
Very interesting, looking forward to tomorrow. Great diagnostic work.......you are a very smart fellow and your brain logic is something else. Thanks from Buddy Stanbridge East Qc Canada J0J2H0
These modern day cameras. I feel like I'm right there with Warren talking politics, cracking jokes, distracting him, having a wrench upside the head...
Bees are a picknick aernt they, amazing work Warren . Get some rest .tomorrow's another day ,somehow it doesn't matter how much we get done in a day .there's that much more the next Thanks for sharing 👍
The old girl is just worn out. Time for a rebuild. Did you check case drain pressure on right side? Drop on charge pressure on those usually a good indicator of internal leakage somewhere.
Warren, I hope your day is a good one, thank you for all your hard work on your YT posts, very informative video have a great day Warren talk at you late...
We got two guys that's been on unemployment and food stamps, going fishing and living easy life from my work. I do hvac for a living and we can get the boxes indoor coils come in, but not the coils. So we have been installing just the box and telling customers we will get them going when we get the coils. And people still believe this is all from bat soup.
Warren, Do you keep any Benadryl on the truck in case you have a reaction to the wasps? I did know I had a problem until I got zapped by 5-7 of them at one time. It is a funky feeling and paying attention to driving when you are way out in the country side.
BTW > may be of interest > That transmission is very similar to a 500 electric shift honda 4-wheeler transmission that I tore down , I found it interesting , it seems honda got the design from a foreign company , used for variable speed in a factory , possibly drilling also , from little I could find out .
Not sure if you can put me in the right direction but I have a jd 1987 550b dozer. I just removed the selector valve, replaced the seals for the shifting spools as one was leaking bad. Put it all back together, no more leak and works great. Replaced and adjusted ball joints and linkages for shifting. Shifts great. Started it today and moved it 3’ and that was it. Forward, reverse 1, 2, 3, gears. Nothing! Where do I start to look. Transmission pump???? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Don't know how you do it ,day after day after day ? Shit laying all over the place for weeks and you just go back and put it all back together like you just took it apart .. You are one of a kind my friend ? See Ya Texas
Where would you recommend getting a e-manual or a copy of a service manual for a 1977 John Deere 750 dozer. Dozer tracks straight forward but wants to turn a little in reverse. Also you have to correct forward and reverse as you go back to neutral as it will still pull if you don’t go a little past neutral either direction going forward or reverse. Thinking it’s in the control valve you put gaskets on, but not sure.
You should really carry an epipen bud being out there solo. My dad never had any issues, stung now and than like most people and than one day his throat closed in a few minutes after a sting, just became allergic all of a sudden. Luckily people around and near a hospital otherwise it would've been game over.
Seems if p5 & p6 and p7 & p8 are pressure and returns for each other, then to test it you'd need to cap p6 at the valve and install the guages to p5 and the return line for p6. That way you could see the pressure going out and the pressure returning. So T fittings may be necessary for both sides I suppose. Hope this helps...
Any Idea where I can get a Transmission Control Valve for this JD 750 B I tried most of the JD dealers and they say the part is no longer available, I need a good used one or have mines rebuilt
Not trying to be a long distance mechanic but I think I would have suggested to the owner pulling and at least freshening up the left one too. It probably has the same number of hours on it and with the dozer that torn down it is a prime time to just do it.
You can "pressure wash" till you run out of water, and it won't be clean. ZEP degreaser soak at least one hour (a cut plastic drum is great) or even a gallon jug of Ultra Dawn dish detergent & water. Then STEAM clean it. Those units are an investment, just like your truck and tools. Get a decent diesel fired unit. You'll be amazed at the results. You must first use a degreaser. Water, at any temperature or pressure- merely sits on top of, or pushes globs around. Water will not emulsify the oil. A surfactant breaks the surface tension (bond) of the petroleum.
Ya: and my broke ass gets the solvent in a pink and size with Haywire dip basket to wash parts that will fit inside it. Can't beat solvent for get rid of grease, oil, and dirt.
I have a question I watched another one of your videos but comments is turned off. Is it possible for a mechanic to have deleted the ecms memory? To cause the ECM to need to be romboot ? ECM is empty. Thanks for any information.
From the last vid on this incase you missed it Warren, and again may be well off track with this 😂 Is there a brake valve Warren? Seen something about brake valve directs transmission charge pressure oil to release brakes and close transmission bypass, if it drops below 100psi the valve will direct parking brake pressure to sump. Just when you said something changed....brake pedal pressed maybe? Adjustment needed there as well?....might be way off track here Warren 🤣👍
I hear ya: I'm working on my truck tractor for 4 weeks on and off resulting in not much progress to show for it because I keep stepping on my woohoo and having to redo 80% of what I have already accomplished because of misremembering torque specifications. So getting whipped is not just physical but it's also mental morale. I would take the aching back and scratched and cut knuckles if I could complete a task any day of the week because my mind will win over body and the aches will become good aches and not in vain.
Great Video... People keep saying there is no help but they are only for experienced help.. There may be a lot of folks like me out there that just need Someone who is willing to train and mold you into what need... But the Government and all their bureaucracy have made it where a Guy can't just take on a guy and train him they have pay this fee and that fee for licenses and bullshit like that so that probably why people aren't willing to a shot at training someone in a new trade.
By any chance is that service truck an old phone company unit? I bought a few old heaps from ma bell about 15 years ago to make 1 good one and have spare parts on hand. Eventually it played out and they were all too disintegrated to do anything with. I have a pretty nice old Pete that I had the frame stretched on now and it’ll do everything but cook you breakfast. Hope to get 20 plus years out of it.
Thank You for the video Warren, at least I have something to watch while waiting for more shitty phone calls, as usual I've hit the thumbs up button for yah.👍
Check case drain flow out of hydraulic motor driving the weak final drive . Excessive flow means hydrostatic motor is internally bypassing . Heavy equipment Forums channel helped me alot. Almost just bid on one of these JD 750 s. I stay with CAT. Poor parts service on JD.
Hi i got a jbc backhoe the 4wd dont work on it wee change the solenoid still same thing no power wee open the clutches they looks good what can be happening here help thanks is a jbc 214 2005
Warren another great video on diagnosis the problem. And what to look for to fix it.🤔😉😁 Just need to figure out how to clone you , so you can take a break once in a while.😉😄
Good dozer, but you're into the same problems many owners have with that machine. The grit from the band and friction wear circulates through the pump works and scores up the pistons, and ruins the seals. You really need to tear down the whole drive body to get it resolved. I know it's a drag, but right now you are just fixing consequential damage, not the source. That unit should be able to kick into counter rotation mode with that much apply pressure.
Dude, if there is a harder working man in the USA, I don't know who he is. Always enjoy your videos.
This man has no fear about tearing into the guts of any machine. I respect that.
With a manual and parts source you can do anything. And things are usually simpler than they first appear.
@@winstonpoplineven with a manual, it takes mental and physically strength. Not everyone can take a manual, and tear into it.

Love it when you work on dozers Warren!! Heavy metal at it's best lol. Great to see the pups also!! Thanks!

Thanks Warren,
I am interested in this repair for the hydrostatic drive.
Looking forward to the rest of the teardown/repairs to it.

Man, you must really like what you do. It looks like really hard work especially working alone.
Quality video, diagnostic skills are fantastic. Please don’t overdo it , take it easy . Thanks for sharing. Stay safe 🇬🇧

Another awesome video by a genius!
i don't comment much but i must say i love your commentary
Another awsome video ty warren I can never get tired of watching how diesel works ty
Your wasting too much time playing with those pedals, just tear into the clutches.🤣
Go home and have a beer or three Warren, you earned it today!
Yes sir 🤝
Banks and a liquor store sleep in the same bed

Been waiting on this one. Thought of buying a 750 several times. Always wondered what made em tick. Thanks for the ride along.
Awesome video as usual Warren!!

always fun to watch... keep the great content coming
You got so much stuff going on at once, I hope you get a break soon, Nice to see Oscar and Lulu helping you out there.
thanks for putting us at a safe distance, good looking out.
There it is I saw it, the infamous lube truck !!!
A hot pressure washer run on kero are good . 180degC you can also run them on waste oil as well
amazing you can remove all those pieces and put them back together [correctly] good job
Great video Warren.. love your content
Warren, I hope your day is a good one, thank you for all your hard work on your YT posts, very informative video have a great day Warren talk at you late...
I am actually surprised you didnt have to access this unit from underneath the tractor,,the way your luck runs anyway,,🇺🇸😍
We got two guys that's been on unemployment and food stamps, going fishing and living easy life from my work. I do hvac for a living and we can get the boxes indoor coils come in, but not the coils. Got to love the process….
Got to love Warren!

My cousin was stung by a wasp and died!! Little more to it than that. But yeah a wasp sting did it!!!
Nice job diagnosing that one.
Thanks Warren. Hang in there. You are setting a fine example for up and coming mechanics. Keep it up!

Could you do a video explaining your wood stove setup? Looks like a blower on the chimney to acquire that heat…???
Hey Warren where do you download your service manuals from ? Thanks
Tradebit.com he has said in previous videos. I’ve had good luck with them
Warren. I don't know how you do all of this by yourself.
Brake /choice of direction...subtracts (energized brakes on distaff side ) while also diverts traction power at higher rate for STEER...?
Don't know how you do it ,day after day after day ? Shit laying all over the place for weeks and you just go back and put it all back together like you just took it apart .. You are one of a kind my friend ? See Ya Texas

I used to use this dozer at ebid here in las cruces new mexico holy shit ...
Do they have a test for case leakage? Pump and motors...

Yeppp. Seems like 70-80 hr weeks have been super common for a while lol
They like you because your a good mechanic..crackerjack Warren!!!
it is rare to see John Deere bulldozers with rippers attachments nice purchase
Very interresting job i realy like it when you work on dozers 👍👍
Trans is cooked it should spin tracks there's no load It should make engine die right down with the load you had on it

The old brake cleaner bug killer, I had to do the same today mine were in my service truck.
Sunrise to beer thirty!!! Great video Warren!!🍻
Don't over do it Warren , stay safe
Was that all the process of figuring out what was wrong it

Warren--put cling wrap on your keyboard so crap and grease won't get between the keys. Just cleaned my home one, YUCK.
You made mention a few months ago that you were hiring someone to help you. What became of that? Did I miss something?
Dude flaked out right before Warren was going to order him some coveralls.
Really good video Warren
👍👍👍👍👍
Please make the video of the pump repair.
have you ever ran in to a d6 that when the oil in trans gets hot it starts to make the right had cutting clutch act up and not work?
D6d? Probably the steering clutch booster bypassing when the oil gets hot and thin.
