I've always felt that a cover should be one of two things: better than the original, or significantly different. Chase's somehow always manage to do both. The emotion he adds to his songs, even when he isn't creating a whole new story by changing the key or tone, completely refreshes and adds value to the originals.
I didnt know this song could get any better. Thank you for always bringing joy to so many. This is epic!

Completely agree. Well, I actually thought Manson's was equal to the original, just different. But this takes what I love about this song and just magnifies it. He's so talented.

Listening to this song, I can imagine a twisted romance involving a murderer and his unsuspecting partner. Perhaps they've been together for years, but his partner suspects him of cheating. They follow him one night and witness one of his murders up close and personal. Now his partner doesn't know who he is anymore, and they become conflicted whether they should go to the police or leave in the middle of the night. In the end they decide to poison the murderer themselves so he can't hurt anyone else, They pack their things and make their grand escape, this song playing in the car as they mull over their relationship and how this "tainted love" has changed their life forever.
