The moment a brother or sister-soon-to--be-in-law starts calling me names and has the gut to tell me that I'm a leech when in fact I was working my butt to pay for the family's bills, debts and whatnot, I'll just screenshot the chats and forward them to my family chat group. I bet my parents will call for an emergency meeting with all my siblings to discuss about it. Any levelheaded parents wouldn't accept that man/woman into the family.
Melinda turned her passion into a hobby and that into her job. Love that for her! Good job on being one of those success stories.

I’m Disabled…so my son (23) still lives with me. Stairs are Harder every day..so, he’s the one that makes & brings me my Tea & when I’m having a really Bad Pain day, he’ll cook & bring me dinner, etc.

This is what happens when your mouth writes a check your butt can't cash. They aren't mad she got a divorce. They are mad that she couldn't clean Felix out first, and or get the house. What does "soon" have to do with it? They were expecting to take part in the payday.

She should've turned the words on her, there was several instances she could've used it, " I didn't treat you bad, because you're a jobless leech" or "is it true you were ready to be jobless leech, leeching off of my brother and parents?" or " I their daughter , shouldn't leech off my own parents, but its ok for you because you married my brother?"or " you're right in one thing you said, A jobless leech should leave, So you leave"..... so many missed opportunities to use either one of those but it was a great story, so great job!
The same story, of course the daughter pays all the bill and owns the house and of course makes 6 figures from home! I’m surprised she doesn’t have a high rise condo.

What’s all these stories about women quitting their jobs as soon as they get married!
Well most of these women in these stories are full of themselves and think everything is going to go their way. Since they think there strucked it rich they don't see a need for a job and plan to "live it up"

I have to say in someways (small ways) I agree with Jessica. 30 somethings who still live with their parents...hoping their "influencing" will pay off instead of working should be looked down on. There are far too many of them these days. Once you're grown up, your parents have done their job and it's time for them to live for themselves. That being said, well done to Melinda for teaching Jessica a much needed lesson. In some of these stories I often hope that once the spoiled brat learns a lesson, she's given another chance. Sometimes it's possible that after learning that one valuable lesson they can change their behavior.

The sister is no paragon either. She is all involved in trying to destroy her brothers marriage. She wasn’t particularly forthright or honest either. And in the end she is unforgiving because she thinks she herself is so perfect, knows what is best for everyone in her family. She’s no peach, although she thinks she is.
I wonder if Jessica has a secret drinking problem. Anyone who drank as much as she did and has no hangover is no beginner. It might explain a lot of her behavior.

I really don't get why people look down so harshly on living with one's parents. It doesn't necessarily make you a leech.
Granted, I do think it is good for able adults to move out on their own and make their own way, but that's more about developing character and learning life skills. Our parents will eventually leave us and/or we will get married and have our own families. It's important that people learn the needed skills to survive.
Actually, I lived with my mom until she died because both of us were disabled and very poor, so we kinda relied on each other to fill in the gaps. She could drive and had more endurance than me with my chronic pain and fatigue. Meanwhile, I could walk, reach higher things, and load/unload the car. Basically I did anything she was unable to do thanks to being in a wheelchair.
However, my mom also taught me how to handle a budget, how to cook, etc. When I lost her it was sudden and I was thrown in the deep end, but thanks to her I swam. So despite it being done unconventionally, I learned the needed skills to live alone.
So yeah, it's not what you do or how much money you make in the end. It's about your character and your skill set. I think this video's story proves that on multiple levels.
