Key features defined by the legendary Jeff Cooper, make Mossberg's MVP Scout rifle in 7.62mm with Vortex scope an all-in-one-solution for any job you give it.
I LOVE the MVP Scout. What a great product. Using it this deer season. Here in the rugged terrain of the Nevada mountains, I’m hopeful it shoots as well as it has sighting it in. Mine is in .308. My vortex lvpo is nice with the illuminated ACS reticle.
I love all the sudden interest in the "Scout rifle" configuration. When the Scout rifle was introduced by the late and great Col. Jeff Cooper USMC ret. and Steyr Corp. some 20+ years ago the rifle alone without optics was about $2000. I was determined at that time to assemble a "Scout Rifle" for $500. Remember this is early to mid 1990s and there were no Mossberg, Ruger Americans, Remington 783s etc. The answer for me was Gibbs/Navy Arms. At the time they offered a carbine version of the British Enfield Mk 4 chambered in .308 with synthetic furniture and a Parker Hale style muzzle break. I simply attached a Tasco Pro-Point red dot. The rifle was about $280 and the optics about $220. The Enfield comes with a 10 round detachable box magazine. I wonder why it took the firearm industry 20 years to do what I did?
I like the integrated rear aperture sight of the scout version better than the one on the standard MVP, but I don't like the extended rail for forward positioning of the optic. Can the front section of rail be removed?
Something oddly sexy about hearing a woman describe and talk about a rifle
Why is everybody using the text to speech nonsense

I Have One And It's A Great Deer Rifle Here In Texas !
...and one of the most desirable features that was never mentioned is that it is compatible with M14 magazines as well as the PMAGs!!!!! Why?
they were too busy talking about mounting optics on the side accessory rails. Yeah. I'm still thinking on that one.
citizen762 👍 can’t wait to try my 10rd checkmate industry magazine on...

With the exception of the fluted bolt, looks so much like a Howa. I think they make Mossberg's Patriot, is this of the same lineage?
I want one!
Brought 1 home today!!!
What the heck is “stypiling” and “pickateeny”?
Loo she's referring to the checkered pattern on the grip and the rails on the front sides of the stock.

No
@@lordoftheflyes3080 Thank you.
That would destroy the whole purpose of the rifle.
Get a normal MVP then and slap some iron sights on it
@@Jebotito it already comes with iron sights, but lesser sight distance
lovely.
Wish you lived close... I'd let you try mine out! You do great vids!
