It’s so nice to hear the behind the scenes .. so to speak with autism. Thank you for taking the time to share. Please continue providing! Very helpful in some self discovery!
Mate you are a legend. Honestly thank you so much for these videos. People feel less alone when you share these. I think because you are older than are daughter it gives us some tips as she gets older too.
Hollie, great video! As a mom to a 12 year old girl with Asperger’s, I really appreciate your insight and advice!! I will share with my daughter too. 💖🙏
Thank you so much for this. Our daughter is 8 and diagnosed. This has really helped watching you after dealing with many meltdowns recently. Please keep posting as us parents can learn so much from you to support our children! Thank you ❤️👌
Another very helpful video and a frank insight into meltdowns, I wish I'd known that 2 years ago! We, as parents, pretty much diagnosed our child aged 14 when her behaviour was really worrying after starting high school. Nobody suggested ASD and PDA (and we saw a lot of professionals!!!) and we had no idea about it until we saw Libby Scott on TV. Thank you Hollie and keep the videos coming x
Another great video - Food for thought for daughter as well as Mum & Dad! I love the fact she wants to watch you and does it with us! Its still a learning curve for us all!! Certainly look forward to the sensory ones! Thanks Hollie! 💚
Hi Hollie, very good insight about meltdowns ,helping us to understand what's going on, Izzy has had quite a few!!.really good explanations.I need Izzy to watch you and my wife. Keep up the good work. 😀
Thank you so much! Your videos are so helpful & I am getting so much from them! I’m sharing far & wide in the hope that everyone can learn something as it’s a very important thing for me 💖 you are amazing!
Another great video hollie! This is spot on! Keep them coming im really finding them informative as well as showing them to my daughter who is autistic and she seems to be taking it all in. Xx
You're are really lucky individual, with my meltdows btw I'm 22 now, I don't really have warning signs until seconds before and there not much I can do at that point and I range having them 2-3 times a week....and I'm at the point idk what to do and I'm scared mostly I get aggressive but dont mean it when I'm having one it's not me and like you said it's like a switch. I hate it I just want them to stop. It affects me and my partner so much....but what makes it worse is after my parter stay mad for like half hour-an hour and honestly it makes things worse as well as I dont have anyone to comfort me after....I can call my parents tho when starting to get out of one that helps a lot but sometimes my dad would shout and that also makes things worse
Thank you so much for sharing as a mum to 3 boys all asd 2 adhd as well it helps so much to hear from your point of view my boys are a little young or struggle to understand let alone explain how they feel its enlightening and helps me know what might be going on inside their minds and reassuring that I'm.doing the right thing as like your mum I learnt trying to prevent them hurting themselves or others during a meltdown makes it a million times worse instead I set up a safe space sort of sensory cosy cushions in an area of our home and just let them get it out their system there with no pressure and then when they get to the sobbing stage and sort of relaxed if that makes sense I kind of see the change in their body like the tension has left then I approach and they are ready to be touched and comforted. Your mum sounds incredible she has done amazing job your a credit to her please keep doing your videos ot helps so much and gives others hope and positivity as well as understanding as you know there are good and bad days and us parents struggle as much as our children but at the end of the day all we want to do is help and support
Glad you enjoyed the video, hopefully they will help you understand from our point of view! You sound like an amazing mum! My mum read your comment and it really made her smile, so Thankyou!
It definitely wasn't stupid that you tried to get out of the car since it was where you had the melt down. It makes perfect sense since you had a near panic attack there (melt down). Quite the opposite, it makes total sense. Panic attacks is probably the most common thing that people can associate with.
Thank you very much my son not like this but if it ever happens we know what to do so thank you if you want to have a look at his channel its called Jayden The Entertainer go and check it out and subscribe he would love it thankyou.
Always remember we must repent of our sins (sin is transgression The Law Of Yahuah The Father in Heaven. The Law are The Books: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, & Deuteronomy). We must repent of our sins and Have Belief On Yahusha The Messiah. HE Died and Rose three days later so that we can be forgiven of our sins! Come to HIM🙂🙂
