A temple is not a cinema theater and it certainly not a secular place . By definition it is a religious place . So respect the sentiments of the culture . there is a deference between discrimination and diversity. If so called activists do not understand the simple logic shame on them.

I feel like what most people know of this restriction is very limited.
Sadhguru tried his best to make people who are unaware of vedic sciences understand why it has come to practice.
What he said is accurate too but if we look it from a vedic science perspective all of us,especially women would be able to understand this far better, through our observations and experiences.
Modern English today has a very limited number of words to perfectly describe and make people understand ancient vedic terminologies.
If only people could understand the science that vedas offered more than 1000s of years ago, people could atleast have a little bit of idea as to why that happened and why is it still happening.
Today in this world not many people follow or rather want to understand vedic sciences. They have their minds set only with modern sciences that was found 100-200 years ago, but not the observations and findings found more than 1000 of years ago from the vedic literature and sciences.
Its fine, its their own choices but if people are trying to find explanation for phenomenon that they have no insight into from a very subatomic level, they will either call it as an abnormality or a very very rare phenomenon but they need to understand that there is another science that pre existed and already had so many answers to various diffrent questions to the phenomenon of the world and beyond.
We must all have a look at vedic sciences as we did or are doing at modern sciences.
who knows maybe you'll find a very resonating and clear understanding of why something could happen, this could open your mind.
      Atleast it did to me.
Here's a link of a video posted by shri Sinu Joseph, she has studied vedic sciences pretty well and she has broken down into small bits and pieces, all those misunderstandings associated with menstruation and sabrimala temple.

Tantrik temples are not mere tourist places. People go there with a sense of belief.
Whats the point of going into a temple when you dont have the courtesy to respect its traditions?
We just need to question ourselves if we want to prove a point or if we really want to pray
If you are a believer and the intent is to pray then you should follow the tradition. It is as simple as that.

I am born a Kerala Christian, I am stunned that such a full on assault is being made on Sabrimala and Ayappa in the name of gender equality. Respect people’s beliefs and traditions.
I do have a suggestion which will help immensely in gender equality:
Either burquas should be banned among Muslims or Muslim men should be mandated to wear burqas as well. This is a cause I would like civil society and especially liberals to take up in India. The case of a handful of Hindu temples not allowing women or men due to occult reasons is very small fry. However Muslim women being subjected to this terrifying clothing befitting the 15th century Arabian desert is certainly something we should outlaw.

@Vaishnavi Phoolmali thats because hindus have never learned to stand united for their cause and just accept atrocities done on them and think that they are being favoured.. even after separating nations on religious discord even in present india we hindus as majority feel that we should appease the muslims.. thats why all the secular nonsense.. word secular was never in original constitution draft it came in 1976 which indira gandhui ji did for appeasing purpose..its very sad that today pseudo seculars and liberals are all about breaking india and its cultural identity ..attacking hindus while remaining silent on other religions... i have no hate for other religions... but if secular is the word then all majority minority etc becomes null and void.. babasaheb ambedkar had argued that this nation which has secularism in its culture itself as an accepted fact then there is no need to add it in the constitution.. and when rss is formed for unifaction of hindus and accepts all other religions doing them no damage.. everyone says its extremist .. rss has a muslim section too..

God never said that menstruating women should not enter the temple. It's just a mere foolish superstition to stop women from entering. And what do you mean assault in the name of gender equality? You are a guy so what do you know about the religious beliefs being imposed on women in all the religions? Y should we keep respecting such beliefs which only separates women? The way you all of you are talking only takes our country backwards and makes it regressive. You can keep arguing on it and give justifications to support your claim but it won't achieve anything.
Y are you comparing muslims with Hindus? If muslim women are oppressed by their males counterparts so does that mean hindu women should also go through it? If muslims do something wrong so should we also do that? You want Hinduism to become like Islam?
We want to be different from other and progress so instead indulging in whataboutery and running away we need to fight this up and progress

Then women between the age below 10 and above 50 cannot smell by the tiger.......
Moreover women between the 10 to 50 years can climb the mountains than women between the age below 10 and above 50
    ..
This either is not the proper reason ...
The exact thing appears to be
    1. The Mahishi mythology dates back to Devi bhagavatam...Mahisaasura Mardini.
    a) Wherein the Mahisi is the Sister of
    Mahisasura..
Mahisi and Mahisasura in their previous birth were Dattatreya and his consort Leelavathi.
    b) By cursing each other they born as Mahisi and Mahisaasura.(Brother and Sister ).
    c) Every body is aware of Mahisasura story...That is Mahisasura Mandini kills the demon Mahisasura and then what about Mahisi! !
d ) Mahisi is killed by Manikanta , the Ayyappa.....
    e) After leaving the body the Mahisi that is Leelavathi....Asked Ayyappa
to marry her and pressurised him.
    f) As Leelavathi is the Dattatreya's (Avadhoota ) cosort and also
His mission is to show the
Jyothiswaroopa that is born of two
Male (gods)...Male and Female is just an illusion/Maya....
    g) Birth and Death are repetitive and are subject to change in form as Man or Women...
    h) That is the soul is neither man not women it is only a jyothi swaroopam....
    i) Instead of repeatedly denying the ex-mahisi's proposal the Mahisi did not Listen...
    Then Ayyappa to prevent ex-Mahisi
Made the rule that women between 10 to 50 years should not
    Enter in his abode.
( Because even ex-Mahisi takes the
From below the age of 10 or above the age of 50 she may not
Insist him him for Marriage..And also the desire may not be that strong to ask him for marriage...)
2 .Finally Travancore Samstha by nit fully aware if the fact...
Could not submit the proper clear reply to the Supreme Court Notice
    And hence the judgement.....

Coming to point, each temple have its purpose to serve, in sabarimalas case, it’s more like school to experience the lifestyle of bhramachari. And unlike other temples made and set rules by the priest who did pranapradishta, sabarimalas rule is set by lord ayyappa himself. We should change the way to look at temple like how westerns taught. Sabarimala is home to ayyappa and when someone has to go to his house, they indeed need to follow his rules, or else they can go to any regular thousands of ayyappa temples all around the world. And here sadhguru himself said he don’t know much about sabarimala, he assumed the reason behind the age barrier. That’s it!

But Hindu temples never discriminate against women. These things never happened in the Hinduism. Why are we so hecked up about it. Like Sadhguru said we should respect the sensibilities of Bhahmachari Deities. Navika ji is not understanding the depth of the spiritual nature.
We Hindus should first study the depth of our own culture before making it a cause. Sadhguru was clear that occult practices happen. She is not getting it. Very low awareness of spirituality. At least brush up knowledge before asking questions.

Dear Guru, women restriction in Sabharimala is purely due to the faith associated with the nature of the Deity. There is only restriction and no ban. . Although other factors including the facility and security are still an issue as all the state governments were interested only to plunder the devotees money without building basic facility for them. Now the communist government mislead the supreme court by changing affidavit and gained favourable verdict for them to implement their hidden agenda of destroying Hindu temple and Hindu faith. They have been trying to do this even if they were not in power by defaming Shabarimala with various lies. To summarise the faith, as you rightly said, it is like this. Men are not allowed to certain temple in India. Similarly women has some age restriction to enter due to the speciality associated with the Deity. It is probably the only temple in the world where there is no discriminaition in terms of cast and religion. Everybody can go.

If you are still reading this I highly recommend you to take time out and do watch this video with as openmindedness as possible.
      Thank you 😊

OMG why don't you understand a simple thing even? Carnivores are attracted to creatures only through the smell of the latter' blood .Women menstruate. Men don't. A 41 days vrata is observed in requirement of visiting Sabarimala. Women in their reproductive age if attempted this think what would happen to them. At least one or two times menstruation. 5 or 6 days of loss of blood in each case. Result would be weakness and even death. I know of a pregnant woman who died there while trying to break free of regulations. Think logically instead of putting up silly arguments with negligible knowledge on show.

Once there was untouchability where a lower caste cannot touch a higher caste . It was part of a religion and it was normalized by our own culture. People started wondering what is the difference between me and you, we are built biologically the same and have the same function of survival. So why cant i be on the same level, i can do business i can own a property i have the right to follow any religion . This was how caste discrimination was destroyed . Now its okay to respect a religion and their ideologies but not to an extent where women and men are discriminated on the basis of religious propaganda and beliefs its totally a new way of discrimination just like the old way of caste discrimination. It must be destroyed. Now some religious followers might comment let women inside a mosque where men are only allowed. I totally side to that fact too only if the women want.

they think temple is like a church/mosque, which is a public facility for those practising the faith, a temple or more accurately a Mandir literally means a house/palace, yes it means a house, ayyappa mandir means the house of ayyappa, and in this particular house/madir located in sabarimala(aka. the hill where Sri Rama met Sabari) ayyappa is living as a monk with vows including celebacy, etc and women do not approach a celebate monk as a sign of "common sense", and there are other mandirs/houses where he is residing in his other phases of life before his brahmacharya like teenage so on, and in these temples obviously women are allowed, people who dont even know what a temple, is trying show political gains, doing stupid things in all that i see. I never thought that Navika kumar would be this mandhbuddhi to not understand the simplest way said by Sadguru... Its so simple to understand .. Even that 10year old child will understand that why is she not allowed to enter the temple.. Navika pl tell me one thing, today no country allows a single Man to adopt or even foster a girl child, why??? Is it because all the govt has labeled that all men in this world are rapist hence this step.. No.. Sometimes you do take some necessary decisions just for the betterment..
One more simpler way for you Navika..
When you hv a guest at home n he is a gentleman, he respects you a lot.. You are sleeping in the your room n he enters your room n uses your washroom. Wont you b uncomfortable.. Will you still be calm about it.. Remember he respects you.. But still you will hv that feeling of invading your personal space..
They take the deity as a living N hence it can make the deity a bit uncomfortable is all they are trying to say.. Getting secularism into religion is totally hinduphobic attitude..

Sabarimala is not just Temple Visit.. Temple visit is only a part of the complete activity of worshipper.. The people who visit this temple follow Vrata for 40 days.. its not less than Penance.. in which they follow many self-put rules, regulations and one of them is doing pooja every morning and evening.. Once they successfully complete penance these 40 days, they visit the temple..
Now women.. They obviously cannot successfully complete 40 days of Vrata because they have menstrual periods in between.. It is only possible for women / girls of certain age group..
People who do not know all these just bark about discrimination etc.. Really how many women will like to perform the rituals and enter the temple really? There are lakhs of temples in India and world.. how many temples did they really visit? If it was only to discriminate, then Temple just would have put a rule 'ALL WORSHIPPERS SHOULD ENTER THE TEMPLE WITHOUT THE TOP GARMENT' and let in any person who follow this norm.. But Temple did not do that...

      Wowiwowiwoow finally someone
If you are still reading this I highly recommend you to take time out and do watch this video with as openmindedness as possible.
      Thank you 😊

    🕉️🕉️🕉️
Egg cell/ ovum ek aisi cell hai jo body k baki cells se 100 times size me badi hoti hai
Agar tb egg fertilize (matlab 14din coitus/sex nahi kiya to) nahi hua to do din me vo egg mar jata hai
Jb tak ovary me corpus luteum hai tab tak kuch nahi hota, mara hua egg vahi uterus me pada rahta hai (upto28day)
Ab egg cell normal body cells k mukable 100bada hone ki vajah se koi phagocyte usko destroy nahi kar sakta aur uterus ke epithelium me fallopian tube jaise cilia bhi nhi hote
Fir To pura ka pura endometrium ka dehiscence chalu hota agle mahine me jb progesterone level decrease hota hai (28day complete cycle)
Degenerative enzymes jo endometrium k epithelium k cells k lysozome k andar hote hai wo egg aur pura endometrium aur blood vessels destroy karte hai
Matlab Endometrium k sath sath uske andar ka sara vasculature destroy hota jiski vajah se bleeding hoti hai
Ab ye jo blood hai wo body ka normal blood hai
Utna hi normal jitna kise aam mard ya jiska period nahi chal raha hai aise aurat ka
Aurat mard ek saman hai aur during periods pad laga ke (because we live where we have already invented sanitary pad) aurat mandir ho ya jo bhi waha jaa sakti hai
    Ab Samze!

Tumne sirf process samjhaya he. Baki kahan gayi? Menstruation se blood loss nhi hota kya. Sabarimala ko ghoorne ke liye bhakto ko ek criteria fulfil krna hota hain. 41 days fasting! Matlab at least 1 or 2 times of menstruation. Socho- 5 or 6 days of loss of blood in each case. Result hoga kamzori or death bhi kyon ki fasting krna parta he 41 days mandir me. Yeh koi tourist attraction samaj ke rakha he kya? Srf bhakt aate he yaha. Women of age range 10 to 50 are prescribed not to enter the temple and not restricted. Ek pregnant woman thi jo zabardasti ghusne par utaaru thi. Uski mandir me hi death ho gayi.

They make rules on hindus whether it's about jallikattu,Diwali or Sabrimala they tell us women can't enter into that temple because of our gender inequality but they don't say it on Navrata when we worship only 9 girl children not a single boy that's their hypocrisy they don't talk why women can't enter Mosques why even in 21st century a lot of women are in veiled why still in some communities women genital mutilation is going on and they can't do anything on it because their parents did it

its actually more than that, pls watch Sinu Josheph's video and you will get it's idea better!
I personally did not support the sabarimala system, but there is a more scientifical explanation for why it is followed, so I don't support the system but science is something else. If a woman is fine with going there knowing the biological problems, let her because it's her choice, but it's just that they will face issues (not stupid social issues, but real biological issues).
It ain't about tradition, I don't support all that tradition arguement. But the part which is overlooked is the scientific effect it has on women, so that's all.
(btw I don't supports fools over the internet saying *Athiests should not decide a temple's tradition*)
I am not that typical Hindu/religionist trying to protect his/her culture. I'm only speaking about facts, I personally still find it hard that women can't enter, but when they face problems, you know it's better they stay away for their *biological safety*.
    Thank You!
edit : I am a proud feminist, who understands feminism, and personally don't think this has much to do with it. SO, STOP! stop blaming and mistreating feminists, they are better people than other typical males/females and other genders surely. My respect to all feminists who understands it well!
also, Feminists could be of any gender

Agnihotra yajna, which is called Mahayajna or in simple terms: Yajna of all yajnas, was performed by both men and women everyday. Women performed this yajna and all yajnas even on their periods. Rishikas like Romasha, Juhu, Lopamudra, Vishwawara, etc. did immense tapas and performed such "occult" practices even in their periods. With no scriptural reference can u ever prove menstruation to be a taboo in Hinduism. It is as respected as Brahmacharya, coz it continues procreation. Girls entering puberty and having first period, are celebrated, venerated with drums and cornets on Rajo. We even worship the vagina of a menstruating Goddess. So people who are claiming that women shouldn't enter temples or do pujas just for periods are totally SHIT. Yes, Swami Ayappa is a Nimbaka Brahmachari for which the other sex is not allowed to be within his vicinity. That is okay. That is his privacy and I respect that. But in other temples and practices where women aren't allowed just for their periods, is totally CRAP. You can't give me any reference from Vedas or Shastras for such irrationality

Not beating about the bush. The real reason is again mentioned by him. 41 days fasting is a mandate to fulfill prior to visiting Sabarimala. How would a woman in her reproductive age do that? At least 1 or 2 times of menstruation. 5 or 6 days of loss of blood in each case that would result in weakness. A pregnant woman who was trying to enter the temple died there. Women of age range 10 to 50 are prescribed not to enter the temple, not restricted. How come that pregnant women enter if she'd been restricted?
