I've been on youtube for 13 years, just started using twitch, and looked everywhere for a basic summary for why I wasn't getting any viewers. Your video was so informative, so here's a huge thank you for making them!
About 2 weeks ago I commented on a video saying I just got affiliate, Well over this past week I've gained 40 subs and have seen a rapid increase in viewership, Sometimes there might only be 5 people watching or other times have had over 30 people at once and I keep enthusiasm no matter what which usually brings in people😊 I say when I'm streaming I'm paying attention to the game about 40% and the chat interacting with people the other 60%. In my set of rules in the panel I encourage people to sit back and relax and give me constructive critism to make myself a better person and streamer as a whole which has been tremendous.

2 months late, but I'm the same way! I stream with no cam (mostly cause i don't have enough USB slots on my PS4 for a cam lol,) and get less viewers because of it. So do many others. It's stupid how people would rather watch someone just because they have a cam, but a very boring personality and horrible gameplay, rather than someone with no cam and a great personality and mediocre gameplay.
I've always wanted to stream but I've always been super nervous. So I been watching a lot of videos like this to try and help get me a little more confident
In my case, I am only a charity kind of streamer. Radio tech by profession, so the audio bit resonates with me. Just been checking out your series so I can tighten things up a bit more. Not looking to gain followers, but I do like getting a complete picture so I can tweak things and not completely suck. Three years of zero donations and it's just time to heighten my game. That and promoting it to my hosts and co workers to tune in. This old radio pro appreciates your tips and do what I should have done with using my knowledge about show prep and all that. Goes to show that even people that should know better need the help to see the transfer of talents to a new medium. Thank you for that.

One extra tip... if you get destroyed or play against other streamers ... wish them good luck in the game .. say GG.. and even stop by there channel and wish them well and good luck and throw a GG in their chat !!
I remember killing a streamer with 2500 viewers, then suddenly got raided by 3-400 people asking if i were stream sniping, even tho i won the game fair and square, i dropped by the dudes stream and said GG :p

this honestly helped me, since I'm new to youtubing and have only uploaded 2 videos so far. and I've noticed that my game audio is a bit loud with an echo when I upload it. but I have been wanting to stream. But I'm absolutely nervous about streaming as I don't know how to interact with people that I cannot see, also its probably gonna be hard on my anxiety, because it's pretty much just like public speaking. But in all honesty, you just made me wanna try harder and also look deeper into what I'm trying to do, so I totally thank you, i really feel encouraged to give it my best.

That is fine - there is nothing wrong with playing a character and running with it.... It works great for a lot of streamers out there... My video was more about people that are just genuinely pissed off ha ha ha

Even bigger mistake thou is a non partnered streamer streaming at too high of a resolution so that people with bad internet can’t watch their streams. Good tip for non partnered streamers is to never stream above 720p 30fps so most people can load your stream without buffering

nice to see someone not making a huge deal with their bitrate, flawless quality is nice but some casters just can't cast in HD or afford it, mine is watchable at least, not HD but people like watching, believe me I would cast over 3000 or 5000 if I could, good tips you have btw

Who does your editing? Or do you do it yourself?
My scrub butt edits them all myself 💪
Wild4Games how long does it take you to film then cut and edit all together for this 11 minute video?
@@MikeySlice I would guess like 3-4 hours editing and maybe like 1 hour recording.
Had to like bro been having a depressed day and you made me laugh :) thanks man!
Thanks for the Sub Love - And glad to make you smile and laugh 💪
this honestly helped me, since I'm new to youtubing and have only uploaded 2 videos so far. and I've noticed that my game audio is a bit loud with an echo when I upload it. but I have been wanting to stream.
I am glad the video could help you out a ton.
I personally don’t think I make any of these mistakes but I still don’t get viewers!😔
Why do you think you dont get any views?
Yup @conplayys
little tip , was watching one of your youtube videos , Your microphone volume needs to be louder and voice more enthusiastic
NathanMMusic thanks dude! I’ll take that onboard. I think I have changed my. Volumes since these videos but I’ll definitely work on my enthusiasm!❤️
Wild4Games I feel like it’s because I’m really enjoying destiny right now and there’s a lot of people streaming that at the moment, but I could be wrong! I may be doing something terribly wrong! I just don’t know haha
Just started streaming your videos are really useful thank you! :)
I am glad that me videos are helping you out.
Surprisingly I did not made any mistakes, only the audio one but I fixed it with some testing, I'm proud of myself xDD
Glad you got it all figured out 💪

I turned the negative attitude into a staple of my streams where I dial it up for everyone to laugh at my rage, I make sure there is a disclaimer so the guys I rant at know it's for fun.
That is fine - there is nothing wrong with playing a character and running with it.... It works great for a lot of streamers out there... My video was more about people that are just genuinely pissed off ha ha ha
i have a twitch account with 500 followers and a average of 7 people and i have my affilate thing but itss taken 2 weeks and they haven't even declined my tax info
The tax step is the longest because they have to check it - If you dont hear anything this week, reach out to their support 💪
Ok thank you
Weird, that all went through for me in like 5 minutes. Hope it worked out for you!
Thanks for the videos, you have some of the best advice out there. I'm constantly trying to improve my stream and your tips are always at the forefront of my mind.
“Because they come in and leave “. NOONE WATCHES ME

Hehe, Twitch.tv/VanixAffix

Dr disrespect didnt grow off twitch. he came to twitch because of the following he had. He didnt just start screaming on twitch.

Thanks for the great tips! I've just started streaming on Twitch 5 days ago and really appreciate the tips here.
Happy to help!
I feel like he’s roasting the shit out of me
Tough Love Best Love
I think stream resolution is also an issue. I mean there are so many people with crappy resolution, that I just click out of their channel right away.
Totally true too - But I think people are more forgiving of bad visuals than sound.... BUT message is fix them both ha ha ha 💪
Even bigger mistake thou is a non partnered streamer streaming at too high of a resolution so that people with bad internet can’t watch their streams. Good tip for non partnered streamers is to never stream above 720p 30fps so most people can load your stream without buffering
Me: starts streaming on twitch
Family: Dinner is ready!!
trueeee
Beginner streamer here and this definitely helps out. Thank you for this
See there at the end, he's trying to steal our communities. (^:
Jokes aside. I loved your videos, and took them into consideration for all future streaming content. Best to learn from the successful. Seems I don't make any of the major mistakes, which is probably why I'm starting to see growth. Though, there's still a lot to improve on. Thank you for your time and effort into making these videos.
I am glad that my videos can help you out buddy - Happy Streaming
No one even DROPPED into my stream, it was 0 viewers the entire time...
Success can be tough. Try not to let it get you down and keep trying until you find something that works for you.
Well, it's always 1 for me, because of my stream being played on my phone for reading comments while I'm streaming.
@@KevinAbillGaming Yeah well I use the streamlabs in-game overlay so I can see comments and recent events
@@CrazyLeopard128 I use OBS because it's very convenient to set up a stream, where I could schedule a stream until later with a stream code that can be put into OBS.
That blue headset he should is the same exact one I have lol
Glad I found this playlist and your channel it has been very helpful.
Because im 12.
MixHalZX Polska hey man I’m 16 now your just gonna have a different age group of followers at the moment keep doing your thing, keep gaining followers. You’ll regret it if you stop now
Dude, I made like 300 followers streaming minecraft when I was 12. I'm just now getting back into it at 16.
You will find your audience
And I am here making content about clicking circles.

Thank you! I just get so nervous when someone joins my stream and I mess up everything. Is that normal? Lol
Completely normal... As you do it more and more you will feel more at ease. 💪
Thanks for the info! Number two seemed really important for me to do!
Glad it was helpful!
im just starting to stream and im a little worried if its for me because im not very chatty and i only use ps4 streaming which has no overlays and such, will i get more open and chat-y as i go on? my twiitch is @chawlie if u wish to see if im doing okay or can improve :D
You will open up as you fell more comfortable and as your progress.. You got this buddy 💪

I’ve been streaming for a couple months, achieved affiliate, and got 16subs at one point, however I wasn’t consistent and lost a lot of subs. I am now back at the grind and truly committed to it. Stop by at twitch.tv/holajookie. Hope to see you there!
Congrats an reaching affiliate - Don't worry if you can get back onto schedule you will regain your subs and even get more 💪

Yo thanks for the ❤️. My twitch is Just_EthanZ (Yes its shameless self promo to the max but i cant grow and I'm desperate)
He he he - I am a mind reader 💪
I agree 100% when i stream i always treat my viewers followed or not with respect. And i have made the majority of the mistakes you've just mentioned however i have always had an great attitude. Streaming to me is very fun and helps pass the time.
No one is watching me because there all watching ninja lol he's great tho

Stop streaming over saturated games

I only started posting to RUclips earlier this year, so I'm pretty small. So thank you for this video. It's good to have these tips laid out for me as a reminder of what, and what not, to do in order to grow.
Stay safe out there and keep doing great work.
Glad it was helpful!
Haven’t started streaming yet but will keep all of this in mind. Thank you!
Glad I could help!
Hey I started streaming a few days ago and your videos really have helped I’ve gained 21 followers over the last three days all thanks to you.
Yeah I definitely need to learn more about audio. I was in a rush and ended up streaming where the audio from my game was way louder than my voice. I appreciate the incite. I definitely need to jazz up my social media and make things look a little prettier, but I don’t always feel like I have the time. It’s a struggle.
Thanks for watching!
I'm glad you didn't mention don't play in an oversaturated game category! Hear that so many times in videos like these! I just want to play/stream WoW because I love that game!
Glad you like the video :)
nice to see someone not making a huge deal with their bitrate, flawless quality is nice but some casters just can't cast in HD or afford it, mine is watchable at least, not HD but people like watching, believe me I would cast over 3000 or 5000 if I could, good tips you have btw
Yeah a lot of people always say high is best but forget that others watching may not see it cause its causing them to stutter... its all about balance .
